Sydnee Armstrong is a young girl just trying to make it out the gruesome life she's in. Born to people who couldn't care less about her, Sydnee dreams of moving out of her parents' home and one day living stress free. That dream of hers may just come sooner than she had hoped when her own father, who struggles with his own demons, tries her in a way she would have never imagined. Forced to leave after a bad encounter, she flees to her best friend Dymind' s house in hopes of staying clear. Unbeknownst to her, that would be the very least of her worries when she realizes she's in a position where she has to make some serious choices just to take care of herself by getting blackmailed. But Sydnee may not have to endure any more disappointments for long when she meets the handsome Trendell 'Truth' Jackson himself. It's his persistence, outspoken ways, and handsome looks that makes Sydnee want to know more about him despite the things she is facing that no one but her and her best friend Dymind knows about. With a lot of secrets, deception, and disloyalty from the characters introduced in this book, this love story will keep you turning the pages to see what's going to happen next!
I can't believe you let this book end like this now I'm up here feeling some kind of way. This book had my attention the whole time. I can't wait for the next book. I loved the characters I loved the plot as it was built up through out the book. My thing is what is going to happen with Truth and Sydnee are they going to make it as a couple once Truth finds out about the secret that Sydnee has been hiding? Will Smoke and Dymind become a couple with the secret that Smoke had been keeping from her about his ex being pregnant? And is the baby his ex is carrying his??? And lastly what happened to his Grandfather (Dad) did he really kill himself or did someone kill him?? So many questions that need to be answered can't wait for part 2.
This book is a long book. It was really good. Sad that there is no part two as of yet. There was about 1% of misspelling. I don’t knock the author you could tell that Lady Trice was in her element. I liked some of the women in this book and how they stayed the same characters throughout the whole book. This book definitely is a page turner. It’s a tad bit different than other books; may that help you decide whether you want to read or not
I don’t what to say except wooooooow that was a lot this poor girl has it so hard starting with her parents, she has to succumb to a horrific incident and then finds herself in a crazy blackmail scheme. Problem is she’s keeps making stupid decisions even when given guidance so I really don’t empathize with her to and extent. Anywho catch up it’s worth the read. Happy reading
