Tasked with keeping a child safe, Monica is on the run. Bear Creek is the place she’s running to, where she hopes to find the one man she’s been told will help her. The one man she can trust.

Used to taking care of herself, trust is one thing she does not give easily. Monica, an ex-soldier, knows trust must be earned. So, when she comes face to face with the man she’s seeking, she has no intention of spilling all her secrets. Even if that man is her mate.

Wyatt came to the mountains to escape his past. To escape the guilt of not being there for a friend when he was needed the most. But recent events in Bear Creek mean he’s willing to move on.

However, when he scents his mate on the mountain, he must decide if he’s ready to do more than move on.

To help his mate, and an old friend in need, he must be willing to fight and accept the price he may be forced to pay—no matter how high it may be.

Definitely more action in the last few stories!

These last few stories have been much more action packed. I enjoyed that. You still have the character development but the action is there as well. These characters seem to need that action. Wyatt and Monica were both in the Army, which is where they met their mutual friend. Trust has to be earned with these 2. I liked that the past stories seemed to flow one right into the next.

It has lifelike characters, action and character oriented storyline, steamy scenes, a faster pace and an engrossing plot. Read Bear these in order, Bear Creek, then Bear Bluff, then Return to Bear Bluff, and then all of these in order. I can't wait for Ruby's story next! Enjoy!

Reviewed at Shifter Haven

Wyatt has hidden himself on the mountain above Bear Creek, his reasons are his own and they matter to him. He isn’t the least concerned what others think about him, he needs the open spaces and alone-ness of this mountain. Over the last several stories we’ve gotten a better look at Wyatt and gotten to know the surface of this lone wolf. Finally Wyatt gets to find his mate and perhaps put some closure on the events that lead to his being on that mountain alone.

Silverback Wolf will bring many of our favorite shifters into this story as well as bringing Monica, Wyatt’s mate to Bear Creek. She’s protecting a friend’s young son from what or who she doesn’t know but she has suspicions. With help from Wyatt, a man her friend trusts, and perhaps letting others in from Bear Creek they can solve a dangerous situation and bring a family back together again. I’m always glad to see older couples pair up in any series. Love doesn’t stop at some magical age. Wyatt and Monica have been through much in their lives, and eventually those things lead to each other. There is betrayal in this story, yet there is also hope that eventually life will right itself and the good guys will come out on top. Loved Fiona’s fierceness in this story, she’s one dragon I’d never want to be on the bad side of. Wyatt and Monica make an interesting couple, they fit and are quite believable together. This story gives a better sense of the tight knit community that is Bear Creek and we’ll run into several old friends along the way. I had a great time with Wyatt and Monica’s story and would not hesitate to recommend it or this entire series to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader. When each new book feels like returning home – then you know that you’ve found the right series for you.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

enjoyable story

Another magnificent book to read. I have read a lot of books in the Return to Bear Creek series. Each story is a standalone book with some awesome characters. What I enjoy about this series is the heroine is strong, reliable and willing to kick butt with their mates and that leaves the hero he's very protective, handsome and will do anything to make their mates happy. Plus the fact I have always admired and enjoyed Harmony Raines creative imagination and her development of her characters. This is Wyatt and Monica story. Wyatt is a reclusive wolf shifter who enjoyed his own company until Monica. Monica is a ex-army soldier who came to the call of a friend to help him. This is a fascinating, suspenseful, but sexy drama fill story. It's a fast pace but quite unique book. I always enjoy the chemistry that Harmony Raines creates between her characters and I enjoy that this series is a continuing even though it can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

A wonderfully captivating read I could not put down till the end, as I had to know what was going to happen.
This story grabs you from the first page as we meet Monica, a bear shifter who is on the run to protect her friends’ young son, from what she does not know.
Having been sent to Wyatt, our reclusive mountain wolf for help, she finds more than she ever expected. A wolf mate to call her own and all sorts of shifters, including dragons, who are prepared to help.
Loved this story, it was intriguing, interesting and full of emotion, as well as having some of our favourite characters lend a hand in the rescue.
Great to have a mature and capable woman as the heroine. Monica was no ones pushover due to her well lived life.
Wyatt we have come to love over the last few books. He has been hiding a deep sadness up on his mount and this story gives him the closure he needs.
I was kindly given a copy by the author but read this in KU.

Wyatt and Monica

Mónica is on the run with a five year old boy named Jack. She worked undercover with his father Trent. When Trent's mate Yolanda was kidnapped, he told Monica to take Jack to an old friend to keep him safe. The old friend happens to Wyatt.
Wyatt and Trent served together in a unit in the military. When a tragedy occured the unit broke apart. Trent left for six months then worked undercover, while Wyatt moved into his cabin in the mountains to get away from everyone. He felt like no one could rely on him anymore so he isolated himself.
When Monica arrived, he knew she was his mate. She was untrusting at first. When they both explained how they knew Trent things got better. But they knew that they had to help save Yolanda and Trent before they could devote time to each other.
This book was great because it involved betrayals as well as friends and family working together to right a wrong. I am glad that Wyatt got his HEA.

This is a captivating, intriguing book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading each and every page til the end. What you will find in this fascinating book is: dragon shifters, bear shifters, eagle shifters, wolf shifters, coyote shifters, hyena shifters, drama, intrigue, some suspense, twists & turns, mystery, enemies, danger deception, some humor, trust issues, memories, secrets, friendship, fighting, family, trust, love and passion. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written, which keeps the reader’s attention. The characters are well developed with personalities and moods suited to the situations they find themselves in. This is a well-written shifter romance with a HEA, and I would recommend this book.

Wyatt & Monica

Wyatt is a mid age wolf shifter living in a secluded cabin in the mountains. We have been introduced to him in previous books and I was looking forward to reading this story. The concept of the story was fine however started really slow...And stayed slow. The the story happens in a week span but it felt so much ...longer than that. Even when the action part finally showed up it ended just before started. Monica is ex military and a bear shifter. And I find her annoying with all her aloofness towards her fated mate. It took her a loooong time for her to actually do that. I am a bit disappointed with this one I am afraid but I am still looking forward to Ruby's book!

Please stop putting it characters down!

I am really starting to get annoyed with this author as this is not the first book in which a character in their 30's has been referred to as 'older' and 'probably to old to conceive a child ' I believe the main female character in this story was 36 years young so please stop making comments as if they are in their retirement years. If I pay attention u will notice especially in recent books she's snuck these derogatory comments in about age especially in regards to women and pregnancy in their 30's. Please just write the story give them their happy ending with babies and stop putting them down!.

Wyatt is surprised when an army buddy, Trent, sends his son, Jack, with another exmilitary buddy, Monica, to be protected, because his wife Yolanda has been kidnapped.

Monica had retired from the Army, and was working as security for people when Trent called her and gave her his son and instructions on how to find his old teammate Wyatt. Once there, she finds that Wyatt is her fated mate, and they get additional help from the dragons, Liam, and others of their shifter friends. They solve the kidnapping, as well as a faked suicide, and put the shifters responsible away for good. Happy ending for bear shifter Trent and his family, as well as Wyatt and Monica.

The wolf gets his mate.

The recluse wolf is capable of coming off the mountain. When a friend is in need Wyatt and Monica come together to help their mutual friend Trent. The action continues as they race to save Trent's wife and reunite the family. As the mastermind of the kidnapping is revealed it makes Wyatt question his self imposed hibernation from the world. In the love wins again.

I want to visit Bear Creek

Every book in this series is built from characters from the last. You can read them by themselves, but it is so much more fun if you know the history of each character.

I enjoyed reading this book. Wyatt has slowly been coming out of his cabin and helping other people in town. I'm glad he found his fated mate...or rather she found him.

I look forward to reading about Ruby soon. She is ready for a dragon adventure.

Love This Book and Series!

Monica and Wyatt...Loved reading about Wyatt ending his self-imposed isolation on the mountain. Monica is the perfect mate for him. Together with a few of my favorite characters from previous books, they take on a mission to reunite a family. Loved the romance, action and the HEA. If you like heartfelt, feel good stories, I highly recommend reading this book and series. Enjoy!

Dragons and bear and wolf and eagle shifters, oh my! The wolf shifter recluse of the mountain is sought out by an ex military bodyguard bear shifter and the small son of an old friend so that he can help said friend safely recover the child's mother from some really bad people. Each of them has serious trust issues despite recognizing that they are mated. Good friends with the right skills live nearby and gather to help. Good friends who just happen to be dragon shifters and an eagle shifter. There is a lot of suspense and even some laughs before life can begin anew for many of them. Another excellent story from Harmony Raines!

Loved it

This was a sweet story and a wonderful mystery in one book. You take one wolf shifter hiding from past pain and a she bear on the run needing his help it makes for a great read. This is another of Harmony's older couple books that always have so much heart. Romance books always have young couples it's nice to see the older ones find love too.

This was an incredible book. A lot of suspense and danger and a real good story. Trent's wife is kidnapped and he sends his boy with a friend to protect. Wyatt finally comes down off his mountain for his mate when she and the little boy come to his mountain. There is a lot of intrigue, it's not just about a shifter finding his/her mate and all that intales, but a really good story line.

I received a free book and voluntarily chose to review it. It is amazing how authors can write so many books and have them different from each other. This book definitely has my strong woman front and center. She really wonders whether what she is doing is the best thing to do. Loved this book that has somewhat older main characters.

Oh, What a Wolf

So at long last Wyatt will meet his mate. Along with that is the answer to the question of why he had become more or less a hermit. The story has a kidnapping among the other things. There are familiar characters abound. Return to Bear Creek and enjoy. Beautifully written. Sexual content.

When Wyatt's mate to find him with his friend's son saying that the boy's mother has been kidnapped, knew it was time for him to leave his secluded recluse in the mountains. But when a ghost from the past comes back to life, can he and his friends save kidnapped mother?

The books are getting more action pack but also losing the main character I seemed to want to know more on Trant then wyatt and Monica as the look seemed to of been more about him and his family not wyatt and Monica. Yes Monica was protecting Trants son and wyatt was a old buddy but this book just seemed rushed or not throurt throw right they could of done more around the main characters.

A wolf of many talents

Wyatt is a recluse by choice, Monica brings Jack up the mountain to find him. She believes he can help her. They realize they are mates and they embark on a journey to help a friend. This is a good story. I love stories that build on characters you have already met.

My favorite hermit finds love...

Wyatt the hermit lone wolf who has shown up in many Bear Creek books finally has his day and he's not at all what you'd expect when he has to leave his mountain. He finds romance, adventure, and the answer to the sad event that drove him to solitude. One of my favorites of the first 17 books in the series.

Wyatt finds love finally

Love the stories from bear creek. Glad to finally read about Wyatt's turn at having a mate. I didn't give it 5 stars because I thought the reason behind the kidnapping was weak and could have had a better explanation. I enjoyed the story.

I knew Wyatts story would be great. I was hooked almost immediately. What an action packed adventure that just so happens to be a romance. I never grow tired of these stories. The cameos of all my favorite characters only adds to this great series.

Silverback. Wolf

It took a lot of courage to help a friend when you weren't whole. But both a friend and survivor made it work. Great book. Can't wait to read the next book about Ruby.

I’ve been waiting for this book every since Wyatt was introduced and I knew it would be good. It amazes me how people can react to life, but how love can change it. Wyatt was struggling and hiding, Love brought him off his mountain
