My favorite thing about this book was learning a little about touring the Grand Canyon. I loved the description of the mule ride down the canyon, and the hot air ballon ride over it. It’s a great mystery as always and I still love the characters.

Love how the kids have to solve the mystery of the kidnapping themselves, since the grown-ups are clueless.
I loved all the cool travel stuff—the descriptions of riding mules down the canyon and going up in a hot air balloon were a neat way to mix in some real-life adventure with the mystery solving. It was a cute little adventure book.

I just needed something simple to listen to. I started this one and then forgot all about it until I went back to Overdrive to listen to something else. Then I finished this one. It was fine; it's just so ridiculous that the police aren't up on these obvious clues and the kids don't fill them in. Like the guy who was punched but didn't have blood on the pillowcase covering him. That's so obvious any police detective would see it. Whatever. It's for kids so I can't be too picky.

It’s easy to understand for any readers. Anyone can read it. The pictures have hidden letters that in in the end come together as a secret message. I liked it, it kept me wanting to know what would happen next. Kaz age 10

I love this book, I think it is very good at leaving clues but not giving them away. but i also think it is better than all the other mystery books Ron Roy has written.

Ron Roy wrote: A-Z, Calendar, Capitol, and Super Edition mysteries. I think they are all acceptable, with the possible exception of the Valentine's Day volume.
