Homeless

Rate this book
A woman caught breaking into a Century stone house won't tell her name. Police cannot charge her. The judge remands her to a psychiatric ward for assessment. She meets Dr. Elaine Price. Their sessions lead both women deep into the uncertain terrain of identity, where living on the street is just one form of homelessness and laws do not always deliver justice. Dr. Price writes Homeless so that, if her crime is ever uncovered, her children might understand.

Cally's Way, my third novel, set in Crete, is now on sale in both North America and Europe!
I've been a novelist most of my life and growing up in Canada, the U.S., Spain, England and the Czech Republic during the Cold War years has given me lots to write about.
Love, and its power in times of historical conflict, is a theme in all my books, whether it's during the Nazis' brutal World War II occupation of Crete, or the post war gold rush in northern Ontario, Canada, or the ongoing, 295-year old, multi-million dollar hunt for treasure on Oak Island, off Canada's east coast.
Dead And Living, my first novel, was shortlisted for a Canadian Arthur Ellis Award, and selected for a university course. The Oak Island Affair, just released as an ebook by Iguana Books, was a 2008 U.S. Indie Book Award finalist.
My blog and a summary of Cally's Way, with news & reviews, are posted at www.janebow.com
Happy reading!

A wonderfully written short novel. I liked the intertwining of lives, real and historical. The main characters had complex lives, full of facets, problems and issues. The plot moved along at a good pace and Bow wove the setting into the story in such a way that it felt real and immediate, like I was living it.
A great read.
