Great read, filled with period pictures black and white and color, nice coffeetable book(no dustjacket) well-researched, I did not like one of the pilot's interviewed and of course Macmillian alluding to How the Americans did not use Brains but Money for their SST program and the later regarding American Jealousy. Other than that the Author presents good ancedotes from people who flew The Concorde, On it, serviced it and so on. Can't wait for the subsequent edition, aside from the 747 and 737 this my Favorite as well, only sad thing is that it was a Subsidized Program by two respective Governments it would have worked had it been A Private affair. I loved reading every bit of this book and marveling how This Great bird came to fruition through the pictures, I saw a BA Concorde on Static Display in NYC. There is a good section on the competition American SST, The failed Soviet Program and what the future may bring. Fascinating Book.
