I know what I want from an Earth woman. Someone to cry out my name with desire. Someone to have my babies. What I don't want is a wife. The last thing I need is a distraction.
A delectable earthling makes me reconsider my plans. Perri is lovely. Curves, blue eyes, and ivory skin I want to taste. Her beauty makes planning to overthrow the corrupt government hard. Very hard. I terrify her. When I get close to her, she darts away. She calls me a rogue and a brute. No one can talk to me this way. I’ve only spent a single evening with the fiery female, but suddenly a wife is what I need. She’ll scream. She’ll moan. She’ll writhe beneath me. I’ll bend her to my will. I’ll show her the pleasure of submission. I’ll make Perri my queen.
Alien's Captive is a STAND-ALONE, full-length science fiction romance. There are no cliffhangers, and a happy ending is guaranteed!
This one started out great and there were some really good aspects to this book. I will say the heroine took way too much, She didn't know the hero at the beginning and the things he did(or seemed to do) would have made most woman freak out and want to kill him but she trusted him way too easily and I didn't get why. I can see if you know someone and it seems like they are doing something they shouldn't and you choose to trust them till you talk to them but to blindly trust right away when everything in front of you says you shouldn't was hard for me. I will say the writing was great and so easy to get into to.
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
Well Perry did surprised me on some ways, she was a fighter or did had it in her, Razulas was pretty interesting through it all.
Now there were points on the story I just wanted to kill them both really, sometimes they were infuriating, however I did understood some of they're motivations.
I love how far Terramates have gone, love the interesting stories and plot Lisa writes.
Alien's Captive: A Science Fiction Alien Warrior Romance (TerraMates Book 15) Kindle Edition by Lisa Lace I was graciously given a free copy via the author and am submitting an honest review.
This is a stand alone novel with in the Terramates series. That said, it doesn't follow any formula. Normally in a Terramates, we see what brought the earth woman to the point she chooses the drastic action of leaving the planet to meet and marry an alien that supposedly matched her in a soul deep way.
This time we do not know what exactly put Perri on the ship. That was a disappointing. There are hints and descriptions of an abusive boyfriend but nothing really to sink our teeth into in order to cheer her love on.
Also, normally in the Terramates series, there is some time between meeting and bedding. In AC, the newly weds are forced to jump into bed. While there is obviously a connection between the lovebirds, but the wham bam thank you ma'am feel of the bedding doesn't feel romantic. Rasulus's attitude shifts based on the role he is meant to play and Perri at times behaves like a child.
Normally, Ms. Lace creates a brilliant new world, something we haven't seen. In AC, we don't receive such a treat. This world could literally have been lifted from any number of Middle Eastern romance novels and sent into space. Except for the giant bird. I love the birds!
Lisa Lace has a talent for the love scenes and she maintains the romance in it, although this time she throws a touch of kink that doesn't suit her style and seems to be thrown in for the 50 shades fans. Here's to hoping she returns to her normal style.
Perri Coren, having endured an abusive relationship, wants to finally be happy, loved, and cherished. She signed up with TerraMates to be perfectly matched with an alien husband, a brand new start. Unfortunately, it was not Prince Rasulus Valorum who had signed up for a bride. His brother, the King, thought it would be funny to surprise him and he was indeed matched to Perri. So unaware of this “joke”, Perri is headed on a 3-month journey to the planet Arietus to meet her new husband.
A man from the palace meets Perri at the ship and takes her to the king. She enters a darkened room where it seems that an orgy is going on! As she turns to leave, someone calls out that Rasulus’ bride has arrived! A man comes toward her, pulling off her coat and grabbing at her shirt to see what she looks like – so she struck him! Unfortunately, that man was King Crucis who is not a nice man!
Rasulus enters the palace after first rumpling his hair and clothing and walking in a drunken manner. He is exhausted and heading to bed, but his brother uses the communicator to tell him to come and see his new present. He sees a bruise on his brother’s cheek; and sees an Earth woman chained to a pillar! He suddenly wants to protect her, but knowing his cruel brother would hurt her, he makes crude remarks about her instead. He sees the fury in her eyes, but starts to lead her away from his brother and the courtiers. He feels her resist, but squeezes her hand twice and she seems to understand the situation. But his brother tells him this is his bride and he cannot dump her later, so he conducts a marriage ceremony where Rasulus claims her as his forever.
Rasulus puts up a front before everyone, pretending to be what is expected, even if that persona is a drunken womanizer. Perri is never sure which behavior reflects his true personality since he is gentle to her one moment but crude when around others. What is truly going on here? Is she safe, or has she entered into a nightmare situation with no escape?
This was an interesting story line since TerraMates carefully matches their clients for compatibility. Perri had a difficult time reconciling that fact with what she walked into, completely opposite to all her expectations. Yet once she made her mind up, Perri became a strong woman who was ready to deal with whatever was going on with her Prince. Would she discover what that might be? Is there a HEA waiting somewhere for her?
I really enjoyed reading this Sci-Fi. It was interesting that there were many topics covered. I liked the plotline of war and rebellion mixed with romance. Perri is from earth and is escaping a physically and emotionally abusive relationship. Battered, withered, broken, Perri's only hope for a new beginning is to apply to TerraMates with hope of leaving earth and to start her life over hopeful of happiness and true love. Mrs. Lynch from TerraMates advised Perri after dozens of tests, she found the most perfect match, Prince Rasulus Valorum of Arietus. What Mrs. Lynch does not know is that Arietus is ruled by a cruel and vicious king Crucis. On Arietus, Rasulus has purposely created a persona of a drunken rake. He hates the way his younger brother King Crucis runs the kingdom and is quietly planning a rebellion. But he cannot be found out. It would mean death to him and all who are aiding him. Even though he is older than Crucis, the reason he is not king is because of the caste system. His mother was lower in rank than Crucis' mother. Thus the disparity. When Perri arrives in Arietus she has no clue what waits for her. She arrives at the Palace and is presented to King Crucis. He proceeds to strip her against her will, humiliates her and ties her up to a column. He had ordered a bride as a cruel joke on Rasulus. Crucis marries Rasulus and Perri in a legal but disrespectful way. Rasulus takes Perri to his quarters. He is dumbfounded that he is strongly attracted to Perri and she to him. Is a wife safe around him while he plans the demise of the king? Can he protect her with all that needs attending to? Will Perri stay put and obey him without explanation? Will Perri share the prince with other women? Can Rasulus stay faithful? Will King Crucis go after Perri for his own pleasure? Is there anywhere that Perri will be safe? So many questions and so many answers one gets as they read this book. I highly recommend it. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Perri💋💃joins Terramates to get outta Dodge after a particularly bad relationship. Amazingly, she is matched with Rasulus Velorum🐺🍆🌋, Prince👑 of Arietus! Three months she travels by space ship to reach the outer rim planet ruled by Rasulus' brother, 👑King Crusis. The planet is a cross between the electronic age and a medieval age with a sharply defined caste system. The people are either filthy rich, or like most, dirt poor.
When Perri💋💃finally arrives at the Palace, she slaps the cruel and self centered Crusis👑👹 when he attempts to grab her and pull her into an orgy In The throne room. He has gotten her in secret, as a present for Rasulus👑🐺🍆🌋! No one is allowed to strike the 👑King👹! Rasulus👑🐺🍆🌋 pretends to be the playboy drunk 🍺, who spends his time drinking too much, and womanizing. In reality, he plans in secret with supporters and wants to overthrow his selfish brother, and make Arietus a place where all the citizens have a chance to better themselves.
Now is not a good time for Perri to come into his life. But when is it ever a good time to find 💘love?
The book is exciting and interesting, filled with fighting, intrigue, betrayal, XXX scenes, true love, and redemption! YEHAW! Ride Em Bareback, Cowgirl!
ARC Received from The Author for a Voluntary and Honest Review. Thank you Ms Lace!
Alpha Alien Adult XXX novels are my favorite, and Lisa Lace is one of the best Adult Sci-Fi authors writing!
Perri and Rasulus are perfect for each other!!! Perri goes to TerraMates to leave Earth and an abusive ex. She is matched up with a prince. However, things are not what she expected when she gets to this alien planet. Her husband to be didn't send for her, his cruel brother the King sent for her as a joke. The prince is just a drunken womanizer......or is he???? Perri doesn't know what to think because her new husband seems to have different personalities. He is so kind and caring when they are alone, but he is a completely different person around others. So what is going on and who is the real Rasulus?? Perri survived her ex, so she can figure this out and survive this situation.
Perri really was very strong, smart, and independent. I liked that she didn't shy away from the chemistry between her and Rasulus but she was smart enough to pick up on the distress.
"An Incredible Alien Romance" You will love the exciting and thrilling storyline. The characters are awesome and unique. Perri is a Terra mail order bride. She is on her way to the planet of Arietus to meet her Alien husband. First when she arrived she is taken to her husband's brother the king! There she is humiliated by the king. Then forced into a ceremony with her reluctant groom. It turns out her new just Rasulus had not contacted Terra mates. His brother the king did this as a cruel joke! At first Rasulus does not want Perri. Till he discovers she is his fated soulmate! Petri does not know if she is happy with her new husband. As he acts like a frat boy instead of a prince. Rasulus has a secret he can not tell Perri. That it is why he acts the way he does! This secret soon leads them both into danger! You will love this super exciting, thrilling, funny, and steamy hot Romance. It is a Five Star plus story.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
As far as heroines go, this was not my favorite Terramates book. Perri seemed to have no desire to control her own direction. She just did what everyone told her to do. But there were moments that you could see there was actually more to her. That made the reading enjoyable. It made you want to keep reading to see what would happen. Rasulus was pretty much a jerk who treated Perri, when he knew there was something going on with her, like crap one minute and treasure the next. Again you know there's more going on than what has been revealed so I kept reading. I think this is the first of the series that the couple has spent more time apart than together in the book.
I love Lisa Lace's Terra Mates Sci-Fi Romances and was so disappointed when she took a break to write another genre. Whether me sending a few moaning emails helped or not I don't know? But thankfully she is back. And what a great book to start back with, in fact, it's probably my favorite, so far. So, well worth the wait. Lisa creates an original story-line with believable characters with the special magic that keeps you turning the pages to the very end. Even though this is the 15th book in the Terra Mates series it is a stand-alone so you don't need to have read the previous books in the series to enjoy it. But as they are so good you'd definitely be missing out by not doing so. If you enjoy Sci-Fi Romance then you will definitely love this book and the whole series.
It's so good to get back to reading a TerraMates story! I have read them all and honestly thought that series was done. I'm so glad it isn't! I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again, but I don't know how Ms. Lisa Lace comes up with these mail order bride stories that are all so different! You never feel like you are reading the same story, but with different names and places. I love how in this story the heroine seems weak, but is actually a wonderfully strong woman. I'm a sucker for strong unassuming women characters. Job well done, Ms. Lace. I can't wait to see where you take us next!
This was my first time ever reading anything from this author and it definitely not going to be my last. I'm not familiar with the TerraMates series but from what I can tell you can read this story as a standalone. This was a very enjoyable and entertaining read it had a great mix of sci-fi and historical elements making for a interesting read. Also plenty of intrigue, action, suspense, and of course steamy romance. I'm looking forward to check out the other books in this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Perri Coren is going to Arictus from earth, it will take three months to get to the outer rim of all the planets. She went to Terramates matchmakers to find a mate and was matched one hundred present to Prince Rasalus Valorum. Thinking she found her Prince Charming, she enters the castle and meets the King, Crucis. Things are not what they appear to be. This is one great story, I really loved it and hope Lisa Lace writes some more stories like this one. I had a hard time to put the book down, it is a page-turner. I highly recommend this book I received an ARC and have voluntarily left a review.
I really loved this story. Perri and Rasulus are very interesting characters. Perri signed up with TerraMates after a bad and abusive relationship. She is matched with Prince Rasulus, who didn't sign up for a wife, but it was a joke from his brother to surprise him. When Perri arrives at the palace, the situation is nothing like she expected, but Rasulus, even though he has not signed up for a wife, will do his best to protect her. Even not wanting, the attraction he feels for her is undeniable, and soon he begins to think of her as really his wife. The story is very interesting and the characters are very well written. I highly recommend the reading.
I often wonder how Terramates manage to match to perfection. Are the individuals usually ready for such a connection? No and this story is no different. I enjoyed seeing the characters interaction and how the chemistry built. It's kinda amusing to see the earthling grow to understand the true bond between Perri and the Prince.
It isn't necessary to read this series in order but I recommend reading the others if you enjoy a mating between an earthling and an alien. Each take is different and gives different sides of aliens.
On the run from a bad relationship Perri heads to TerraMates and after undergoing extensive tests is matched with Rasulus the Prince of Arietus. Hopeful of a better future and a place to belong she is exited to meet her new husband. When she arrives her greeting is not all she hoped for. Rasulus is shocked when told of his new wife's arrival, and though he is drawn to her he struggles with letting her in. He is plying a deep game while trying to overthrow his brother and Perri is a weakness he has trouble handling. I have read and reviewed this as a voluntary ARC.
While I enjoyed the story I did not really like how Rasulus treated Perri in the beginning, while it is explained to us as readers it’s not to her and it was hard on me too. I understood but I didn’t like it. My favorite scene was Perri at the brothel with all those ladies. It was so sweet. The book itself was good though, don’t let my complaint fool you, it was an interesting read. And those giant birds! Yes, those giant deadly birds....
Perri's has had enough. It's time for her to find someone who deserves her. TerraMates promises to find her soulmate. What she gets is a "partying frat boy" Prince named Rasulus. Could TerraMates have actually made a mistake? Things are not always what they seem. Will Perri learn the truth or will the palace politics cost her everything? This was one of my most favorite in this series so far.
*I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
Perri leaves her hell on earth only to arrive in another hell. She is unwittingly the punchline in a wicked Kings joke and is now the wife of a Prince who had no knowledge of his bride. Despite the terror she is once again being thrust in to she is unbelievably drawn to her new husband, Rasulus, who she suspects is more than he appears to be.
One of Lisa Lace’s more boundary pushing stories so it is beyond steamy hot!!!
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest The characters + storytelling were very captivating This author's stories are always well written. I loved the storytelling + the characters She takes you on a very naughty journey and all you have to do is enjoy the ride. The storytelling + the character's build were awesome!
Every time a read one of the stories in this series I say it is my favorite, and then I read the next book and I say the same thing. That is how I feel about this one. It is my favorite! The emotions, excitement, adventure, passion, and heat are incredible. Perri and Rasulus are perfect together and I loved the way their romance came together.
Loved it! The book was just as great as all the previous ones and holds your attention from beginning to end. It has everything you want in a romance about aliens, drama, action, mystery, and steamy hot romance with awesome characters? A must buy, keep them coming, and so ready to read the next book in the series.
I am a big fan of the terramates series and this book is a wonderful addition. Perri thought she was lucky to be mated to a prince but he turns out to be a drunken womaniser or is he? Read this in one day because I couldn’t put it down.
Another brilliant book in the TerraMates series. Perri is from Earth she’s also quite feisty . Rasulus is the alien who. Is to be her future husband . Plenty of adventure, trouble, and sex all making this a great read.
I love the TerraMates series! But Perri just did nothing for me, I understand that Rasulus did not apply for a mate himself but I was completely shocked at how his brother treated Perri when she got there. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
A sexy, hot romance with mystery and I loved this story. The characters and plot are exceptional. I couldn’t stop reading. This was given to me in an ARC copy, and I Always review the books I buy or are given to me.
The story kind of reminded me of the scarlet pimpernel. The main character , Rasulus ,acts like a drunken playbook when in reality he is a revolutionary. Perri was pretty brave. This story was pretty good. The bonus story wasn't that great.
