Magic and haywire emotions don’t mix. Lilac has the scars to prove it.

When Lilac swears off using her haywire magic for good, she expects to live a slightly less chaotic life. Instead, her dad loses his job and his sanity, spending the last of their savings to open a wandshop only for it to fail. And it all falls to her. The debts, the costs of everything, the potential to lose her home—

To keep everything intact, she must get certified. But the path to certification isn’t easy. It leads to the most prestigious magical academy in all of Firedrake.

Attending the academy, she learns that in order to even begin her studies she must endure a ten-day trial that will prove to the academy that she is Firedrake material. Or prove that she is not.

But proving herself is pretty hard when a Battle Instructor who can somehow smell her uneasy fear digs into her past and breathes life into it on the sparring field. The Instructor’s prove that this student is too dangerous to join Firedrake. Her Hunger. Greed. Hatred.

To save her father’s wandshop and her home, she’ll have to ally with three handsome wizards who have a strange obsession with her crazy magic.

While a nightmarish presence lurking in the bowels of the school counts on her failure.

For if she loses, it will revive her.

And assume control.

Waste of time

The storyline is predictable and doesn't tell a true story. The h is a sorry excuse and the Hs are secondary to the story. You don't get to learn a lot about their personalities. Don't bother!
