Tarot cards have peaked my interest for quite some time now. They seem to be right just as much as they are wrong, but they are still fascinating.

This book will give you the basic skills. I still don't feel comfortable doing it all by myself, but I am gettign there with help from this book and a few friends. I love to read and I love learning new skills, so this book was a lot of fun to me.

Plus, it is well written and actualy fun to read. No boring mumbo jumbo that you can't understand and definitely not in the form of instructions. You do get a history and you get a start on a new skill. I call that a win/win.

I received this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

I used to think that tarot card reading was a carnival distraction performed by hustlers out to take advantage of desperate people. Maybe it is. As I’ve started to grow as a person, my openness though to other possibilities has grown as well. Now, I think of tarot card reading as an effective way to cultivate our intuition. Cards don’t function as ‘fortune’ readings, but rather as tools to help awaken and deepen journeys of self-discovery, self-reflection. Hayertz’ book is compact, well-organized and highly accessible. It’s a perfect beginner’s manual – there’s enough information to begin, but not too much to overwhelm.

Yesss I've been lowkey studying Tarot for months and now I finally more or less know all the card meanings

This book was great, an in depth explanation of all the cards, a number of different spreads, lots of examples (and nicely diverse ones, too). Basically all the introductory information I was looking for, and not too heavy on the woo either. Just what I was looking for.

I think the way that Meg Hayertz discusses how to utilize the cards are amazing and deeply personal. I also like how she talked about how historically sexist and racist the depiction of the cards are, and how to bypass such connections when reading for yourself or other people.

This is a very good book for learning the beginning basics of reading tarot cards and learning their meanings and symbols.

Each card of the Major Arcana has two pages of explanation, with keywords, standard interpretation, symbolic meanings, reversal and mystic meanings. and ways to interpret the card in relationship to others surrounding it. Each one also offers a sample question and possible response with the card at hand. For being a book for beginners, it feels like enough information without being overwhelming.

The cards in the Minor Arcana sections have less information, but are still comprehensive enough to give you a good basis for understanding each card.

It's a great book for beginners and useful for long-time practitioners who want a quick refresher.

Great Resource

Takes the mysticism out of tarot for us newbies and the book just feels like such a welcoming environment to learn more about it. The author is wise and positive without being artificial and that really came through. Glad I purchased.

A must for anyone new to tarot !

Super helpful

This book was very well written and very informative. I am very new to tarot, so I haven't even received my tarot deck shipment yet and with the help of reading this book I no longer feel I'm going in blind.

Very good book for beginners. The author provides some history behind Tarot cards and does a nice job explaining every card in the deck. I am sure that I will be referring back to this book many times as I continue to learn the art and master the practice of reading Tarot.

Good beginners friendly book for tarot readers and enthusiasts. Although, I will say that the more you study tarot the more you realize that the meanings are so much deeper than what is explained in this book.
