Will Carter, a deputy in Gold Springs, has no intention of settling down and the furthest thing from his mind is marriage. He insists his brothers would have to hogtie him to get him down the aisle. Until….. He meets Rebecca Nolan. Their first meeting results in a bruised jaw, a sore backside and a stay in jail. Will's attitude regarding women is proven right by the feisty hellcat. So, why does she get under his skin? Will she be able to save his life?
I was born in Manly on the Northern Beaches in Sydney, Australia and grew up in the west after we moved there to help my brother’s eczema which was made worse by salt air. I now reside in the beautiful sunny state of Queensland.
My dad had the biggest impact on my life. I have always had an overactive imagination and would often tell him stories which floated in my mind. He encouraged me to put pen to paper convinced that one day they would become published books.
Apart from marrying the love of my life, the highlight of my life was being accepted into Nursing just before my 16th birthday. It had been a long-time dream and one which encompassed 37 years of my life. Along with nursing, being married to a Naval Officer for almost 47 years, and posted in numerous places, gave me experiences which I have written into many of my books.
We enjoy traveling the country with our Caravan/RV, and Jack Russell puppy by the name of Gemma who will be joining us.
As my parents were British, never Australian citizens, I hold dual citizenship and we plan to take advantage of this to spend two years traveling the UK and Europe in the near future. It will also give me the opportunity to catch up with many family members who reside in England.
My books are in various genres - Western Historical Romance-both steamy and sweet, Contemporary Romance-steamy and sweet, Male/Male, Australian Outback and City Romance. I also have one menage and one paranormal romance along with two children's books. As I said earlier, I have a rather overactive imagination.
I hope you will pick up one of my books and when you close the cover on one of my stories it will be with a satisfied sigh.
This is a sweet and loving story written by Susan Horsnell. She has written an exciting and adventurous story that has a tad bit of sexy, raciness to it. Will is a deputy sheriff and Rebecca is well known for her wild, loud bossiness. She is tough as a cob and doesn’t back down from any one. She had a disagreement with deputy Will and she socks him in the eye and cheek. She gives him a swollen cheek and black eye. The deputy takes her to jail and she screams, yells and causes such a fuss that he decides to paddle her bottom. This starts a crazy love story to behold. You will enjoy discovering how they find their happily ever after.
As we continue on the journey of the Carter family, this being Will finally finding his match, though she is the opposite of what he thought he needed, she is perfect for him. I enjoyed getting to know the Carter clan more, as well as watching the legacy grow.
Another sweet read from this author. This is Will's book. As the new sheriff deputy Will has so deal with unruly people but he has never come across someone like Rebecca. At the end of his rope he punishes her but he will do anything to make amends.
Will is the second brother and this is his story. We revisit the entire family and its growing brood from the eldest brother and his wife. Will is a deputy and he vowed never to settle down as he didn't like independent women. Rebecca is everything he doesn't like, but sparks sure do fly. This is a lovable corny western romance with plenty of action, drama and love. The scenes with the bank robbers were brutal and real. You'll be wondering if they'll get their HEA with all the events going on toward the end. I enjoyed stepping into this world going back to the mid 1800s. It was a hard, yet simple life especially for women.
A wonderful adventure to be on. The Carter family are strong, caring, protective people. Hardship is all Rebecca has ever known till the day she meets her handsome deputy. Both their lives improve when they meet Caleb a orphan boy. I highly recommend you read this book and Matt and Clay's adventure also. Happy Reading🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
