Brilliantly written, the Onyx Webb series is so completely different than any series I've come across. And yet, it's so hard to describe. Is it a ghost story? Yes. Is it a love story (actually, several love stories)? Yes. Is it a story of revenge, a family saga, a heartbreaking look at what it's like for one woman to keep existing while everything and everyone around her does not? Yes, yes, and yes. But at its core, the Onyx Webb series is an intricate and tightly woven glimpse into how one single woman connects to the lives of so many others, in a story spanning decades. Onyx Webb is the star of this show, but each and every character that she's connected to is just as important to this series as Onyx herself.

In this series of episodes, authors Fenton and Waltz provide a deeper glimpse into the lives of the Mulvaneys, filling in the desired blanks of what made them who they are today (or, the 2010 version of "today"). Also to be celebrated (which is kind of creepy to even mention), is the continuing story of the incredibly creepy and sick Stan Lee. From exploring more of the Mulvaneys' history, the authors give an even more solid connection between Stan Lee, Declan, Bruce, and even Onyx.

Back to Onyx: my favorite part of this series is quickly becoming the entries from Onyx's journal and the heartbreaking glimpse of exactly what she's enduring by just merely continuing to exist. As she puts it, it's "the endless endlessness that never ends." She's essentially trapped in the very loneliest and most joyless position one could ever face and unfortunately for poor Onyx, there doesn't seem to be any way out.

Bottom line -- this series continues to enthrall me and I'm always slightly distraught after finishing, simply because they seem to go so fast and I want more of these characters, more stories, more revelations. I inhale these books and try as I might, I can't pace myself and savor them. I absolutely recommend this series for anyone looking for something different, something completely immersive, and certainly something unlike anything you've read before. Smart, fast-paced, with characters you'll quickly start to care for, The Onyx Webb series has become one of my favorites and I will happily continue to devour each installment for as long as the series lasts.

**Many thanks to the authors for providing a free copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

ONYX WEBB: BOOK 5: EPISODES 13, 14 & 15 is the outstanding 5th entry into this modern day ghost story/mystery/thriller/soap opera/serial novel by the husband and wife team of Fenton and Waltz (and alternatively, Waltz and Fenton - I may have gotten the order confused). Regardless, I have been hooked since the first "Book" of this serial novel appeared a couple of years ago, with subsequent Books appearing every 10 months or so. My last review stated that I thought it was the best serial novel I had read since THE GREEN MILE by you-know-who. I give up. Total surrender. No more qualifiers. After approximately (I didn't actually count) some 1300 pages, this is the best damn serial novel that I have ever read.

The writing is fantastic. The pacing is alternately slow and fast, hard and soft, simple and complex like that of skilled lovers trying to maximize and extend each others' pleasure. Make no mistake: there is little or no sex and nothing at all graphic (excepting that is, some mayhem that is not at all sensual or titilating) - that is only my way of trying to convey what it's like to be on this ride. The authors have done a remarkable job of including themes of lust, violence, greed and love with few or no extremely graphic descriptions. I would recommend this (series) to my grandmother (if had any left) or my (precocious) 15 year old son or just about anyone who wants a great read. For my 2 or 3 fans on Amazon and Goodreads, this is a series not to be missed. Seriously. I have never read anything quite like it.

Now for the obligatory (ostensibly non-spoiler) synopsis. More ghosts. We find out who really did Juniper. And some more. The relationships between Declan and Bruce and Onyx and Koda and Robyn and the 1904 World's Fair and 2010 are clarified, dead people reappear (even from the World's Fair), motives appear, disappear and reappear, and uh... well, it's a hell of a ride. Want more specifics? Read the series starting with Book 1.

This is a roller coaster ride of love, death conspiracy, ghosts, nasty people, good people and money. I literally could not put it down. Just read it (starting at the beginning). I guarantee many, many hours of nasty pleasure.

Most Highly Recommended.

I'm totally addicted to this series, it's unlike anything I've read before and I just can't get enough.
I find it difficult to write a review because there's just so many threads and connections that I don't want to risk giving anything away.
It opens with Stan Lee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin 1976.
Then we're in Orlando, Florida 2010 with Koda and Tank.
Katherine is in Tacoma, Washington 1969.
Back with Stan Lee who's now in Charleston, South Carolina and it's 1978.
Onyx in 1969 alone in her lighthouse.
It's fabulous and it's straight onto book 6 for me now.
I have to say that I don't give 5 stars often or easily but I'm enjoying this so much and I'm just happy it's on Kindle Unlimited.

This series started on a high note and five books later, it is still going strong. Onyx Webb is one of the most addictive and intriguing series I have had the pleasure to read. An easy read I devoured it in one day and I already have the next book lined up on my kindle.

In this installment, questions that arose in the previous books were answered. We see how each of the characters’ lives intertwined despite the varying timelines. This story provides more information as it relates to the person behind the disappearance of Juniper Cole, the girl or should I say ghost in the mirror. This person is also responsible for the string of murders that has the city in fear. Old friends reunite and new characters introduced. Onyx faces a new threat to her existence; will she be able to circumvent this one?

The story gets more suspenseful as more strange events occur. Once again, I was taken on a suspenseful and mysterious journey. This installment did not have the level of creepiness I have to come to expect from the series, but it never changed the dynamics of the story.

I enjoyed how the story came together. The twists and unexpected revelations kept me turning the pages as I needed to know what would happen next.

Conclusion/Recommendation
This installment delivered all I expected. Well written and with well-developed characters the story will hook you from start to finish.

>Book Review - Onyx Webb -

>I am an independent reviewer. This is book 5 in the Onyx Webb series and contains episodes 13, 14, and 15.

>These episodes reveal more about the boy Stan Lee and the previously unknown effects he had on Bruce's life. One character in particular stands out in this book. Tank is the epitome of a true hero. His backstory and the speech Bruce gave on his behalf made him my very favorite character in the series, so far.

>One character I hope dies a truly painful death is Mika. What a despicable human being. Why the Mulvanys put up with her, I cannot figure out. I find it so amazing that even the smallest facts are explained eventually, like the crack in the Faberge egg and how it occurred. The myriad of plot lines are starting to come together, but there are a lot of unknowns. I do not know the significance of the lawyer and what will happen to Onyx.

>This book is appropriate for a young adult (16+) to adult audience. I am giving this book 5 stars. This book is written to be read in one sitting. Every paragraph has a hook and holds your attention. An impossibility, surely, but I promise each page holds one's attention until you are at the end of the story and wish you had read a lot slower.

Onyx Webb Series (Book 5) by both Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz continues to have it all. Suspense, intrigue, and murder as well as romance, ghosts, and revenge...are all inside each and every book. I have fallen in love with the Onyx Webb Series. It's addictive. Characters such as Onyx, Declan, Koda and many others bring a variety and freshness that readers like myself don't get when reading any other fictional series. There are a serial killer...tons of money involved, and a whole lot of drama that kept me deeply lured on every page. The plot as always is fast-paced and full of action. Never a dull moment inside this series. The characters are always doing something that releases a chain of events that affect others in the tale. Greed, love, and an emotional journey that has once again blown me away. Both Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz are the best writers when it comes to hooking readers' attention and entertaining them throughout every page as well as every book. I can't get enough of what happens next...I loved reading this latest title and look forward to reading more by these writers in the future. Overall, I highly recommend Onyx Webb (book 5) to readers worldwide. Once you pick this up to read, you will be begging to read more.

I am grateful to the authors for letting me continue reading this series in exchange for a fair review. I have been a follower of Onyx Webb series since it first started. It has been a wonderful journey and hopefully I get to continue being on their list of reviewers.

The mystery is almost solved, but the characters still have loose ends to tie up and a past that they wish to erase. Onyx's meeting with an old friend, Koda's trouble with his obsession, an unseen foe targeting the Mulvaneys. This is all part of the series' three episodes. It may sound like a lot, but three episodes of fast paced chapters will leave you wanting more.

Onyx Webb series is an ongoing one, so you do have to read from book one, the characters grow on you and the authors keep adding new characters when some become irrelevant to the story. You might think that none of them are related, but they are linked via a string of events that is like an intricate web.
It is fair to say that it has been a long journey that has intrigue, murder and mystery surrounding it, I had enjoyed reading all the character's troubles and decisions it feels like being part of their lives. This is one of the series that I hope the end is near yet a little bit sad when it comes.

For fans of mysteries, murder and paranormal events, Onyx Webb has it all, from ghosts to mafia and from greedy thieves to generous souls, there is something for everyone to enjoy in this book.

This series never disappoints me. The web continues to be woven a little tighter with each book.
In Book Five, we learn more about the Mulvaney's and their history, Stan Lee and his history, more about what makes them tick along with Mika and Onyx.
This is one of those books that you have that feeling of not wanting to read the last few pages, because then it is done and now what? We have to wait until July for Book Six.

This may be the best one yet…

In Onyx Webb, Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz have no problem putting their characters through HELL. No easy ‘living’ for them.

Left me asking the question, “Do we ever really know anyone? What are they thinking, feeling?”

Even as a ghost, Onyx Webb has kept the lighthouse lit. Guess even a ghost has to have a purpose.

“Life is a hard thing to let go of…Even when you’re dead.” Onyx tells Katherine. But, why stay, when there is no joy or happiness?

Death, murder, lies and betrayal. Be careful who you put your trust in and who you care about. The authors are not afraid to kill off their characters. Adds a little something extra for me, guessing who will bite the bullet next.

A multitude of characters, some of them dead, some of them not. We have numerous storylines going on, jumping from the past to the present. I can hardly wait to see what happens when they catch up with each other.

The authors include a memory refresher in the beginning of the book and I found that very helpful. This series does not stand alone, so begin with Book I. All the books are out and available for purchase.

I knew the ending for these episodes was coming and I didn’t want it to happen. From present to past, character to character, I find this hard to put down and I want more….NOW!

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Onyx Webb by Richard Fenton & Andrea Waltz.

Book Five delivers another outstanding segment to the Onyx Webb serial. The Stan Lee story develops and adds a significant horror component to the story. Onyx connects with Katherine and struggles to hang on to her lighthouse. The writing is top notch and the books are impossible to put down. Just read them.

Book five pulls the spider’s web tighter as more connections are revealed. The creepiness factor increases with the Leg Collector. More greediness surfaces. Timelines are noticeably crossed. It leaves a peculiar feeling with you when a character dies, but is present later in an older timeline. Eerie, but welcome.

I was drawn closer to my favored characters, and grew a deeper contempt for the villains. This series is so easy to read that it only takes a few hours to totally finish each book. And each one has me immediately starting the next one, to read non-stop again. It’s a vicious cycle that I hope never ends.

Onyx Webb fights to keep her lighthouse, (the only really good investment from her late husband Ulrich) Koda has a bizarre accident that leaves the Mulvaney family in an uproar and Sister Katherine reappears. If that wasn’t enough; get a glimpse at Juniper Cole, follow Stan Lee’s story and find out the truth behind Mika.

Author’s Andrea Waltz and Richard Fenton are back again, with the fifth installment of Onyx Webb. If you’re here and have no idea what’s going on, I suggest you check out my review of book one. In my review of book two, I stated that I was late to the party and how thankful I was not to have to wait for the next book. In my review of book three, I wanted at curse while awaiting the arrival of the next book. I mentioned in book four's review that I was going to take my time reading book five; I lied.

I flew through book five today and I’m not ready to let go. Waltz and Fenton continue to give us a world of billionaires, ghosts, serial killers and a hint of romance. With every turn of a page, the web of connections between characters draws you in farther. I am truly astounded at how in depth the story lines of seemingly unconnected characters, goes. Waltz and Fenton are brilliant writers and have proven, once again, at how well thought out this series is.

This captivating world is full of suspense, mystery and plenty of shock factors. More loose ends are tied up in this fifth slice of Onyx Webb. However, the authors promised in book one that they would leave you with unanswered questions that would have you hanging off the edge of your seat; book five is no exception. I’m dying to get into book six.

Thank you to the authors for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Things are ramping up even more in this next book in the series. The past and present are getting closer together and you begin to see how the different character’s stories are connected. Not to say that there aren’t still a lot of unknowns.

And watch out for those got ya’s the authors spring on you. Plenty of shocking surprises await you, along with their trademark horror and suspense.

It continues to amaze me how these authors keep the reading flowing so smoothly with so many characters. Especially as their actions have a ripple affect on each other from past to present.

It was also fun to get some answers while more were raised. My brain worked overtime trying to guess what was coming.

Let’s not forget the horror. The ghosties are all through this book and the eerie atmosphere is palpable. You really do want to look over your shoulder to see what might be there. You will jump at the slightest noise. And the anticipation is killer.

I’m lucky if I finish a series. I read so many and they often have so many books in each one. Plus, sometimes the series never gets finished. I honestly was reluctant to start this one. But, the author’s promised they would complete their series. And to be honest, I fell in love with the cover art and couldn’t resist a scary story. That being said, I’ve stocked up on Doritos and Hershey’s Chocolate Bars, my required reading staples, and am waiting anxiously for the next installment.

I received this book for my honest review.

I received this book to give an honest review.

We get to look more into Bruce's past and how the killer of Juniper Cole really seems to have it out for Bruce and his family. This book was more of the Mulvaney family though we do get our other characters from the other books in here. It was nice to really get an insight on this family. Now if you are like me and thought about just how shady Mika is towards Koda well you would be right and we get to see this first hand. I just can't wait to see the look on her face when she is caught in her web of lies.

It is amazing to see how one woman is some how connected to everyone rather it be from way in the past when she was alive or now when she lives at the Lighthouse. The way these authors can just weave the story so it is all connected and you do not get confused is simply amazing.

One thing that I really do like about this series is just how it all flows together even when we are going from time line to time line, character to character. It just flows and once you get to reading it, it is very hard to put down.

For me I find myself having a hard time writing this review only because I don't want to give anything away and I feel if I try to get more in depth with my review that is what will happen. I can't wait to dive into book 6 and see how this will all piece together. If you haven't read book one then I highly recommend it.

I was very excited when Andrea Waltz gifted me Book 5 in the Onyx Webb series. If you read my other reviews, I strive not to give away too many details while bouncing up and down telling you to read this series. If you haven’t started the series yet or are just getting to this one, this one also jumps back and forth through time as we meet up with some of our favorite friends and meet some new ones.

There are so few books/series that can so thoroughly captivate its readers through language. The descriptions, the characters, their stories. It is like living in a turn of the century (19th-20th) small town where everyone knows everyone and each person is as unique as a snowflake. Where you find yourself greedily enjoying the latest gossip as you enjoy a Sunday BBQ or potluck.

These characters are unique but yet such a representation of life that you find yourself eagerly flipping the pages.

I leave you with this, from the Journal of Onyx Webb.
“First, life. It is easy to forget how precious life truly is when one is wrapped up in the day-to-day struggles life presents. But make no mistake: Life is the most precious of all gifts. Even the ordinary life? There are no ordinary lives. All life is extraordinary. … But what makes life most precious is that it ends. Death. We all die. Or, as I know now, we all should.”

So, did that get your attention?

I have been a fan of this series since the first book and it never disappoints. I am enjoying the series alot and am grateful to the authors for allowing me to review it and I hope they continue to do so. This book is a soap opera mystery, ghost book that is very intriguing. It would be good as a Tv show. All the books would be. I could go into detail about the book but don't want to give too much away. its about a serial killer, tons of money involved, ghosts around, and a little bit more on the history of the Mulvaney family. you could read this book easily in one day. its that good, that fast paced, and I have found all of the books this way. I actually have to pace myself reading them because I just want to savor the books but once I start its very hard to. I literally devour the plots, and characters of all the books very quickly. If you are a fan of mystery, paranormal, romance then you will enjoy this book, but its best to start at the first one. and like me and many others, you will be hooked once you start. Im looking forward to the next book in the series and cant wait to read it.

The circle turns, connections are made, relationships begin to overlap and Onyx's web is becoming complicated.

I admit, this soap opera is a guilty pleasure. The only issue I have is the ping-ponging time lines are damned hard to follow and yet so fascinating at the same time.

I'm getting tired of Stan Lee, though. I'm hoping his demise will be forthcoming.

Ah, what to say? I've raved about the characters up and down, but this book seems to be the most character-oriented of the series so far. I love that some of the characters I have come to love are suddenly not as great as they were originally depicted. Then some of the more despicable characters have become maddeningly sympathetic.

I hesitated to pick a favorite character since the beginning of the books, but Stan Lee has definitely left a serious impression. His story is frustrating, heartbreaking, exciting, and terrifying. The way that things have been revealed so far have played out perfectly and I wouldn't change a thing.

Instead of wondering how they're going to keep coming up with new storylines and finding a way to connect it all, I am simply eager and enthusiastic for what's to come. I have no doubt that these books will just keep getting better. I am dying to read book six!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. Lucky me!

Another terrific entry in the series. I do not believe I had any real major shocks or surprises in this book other than the very beginning with Koda. I did make a couple more guesses as to what I think is coming and I am curious to see if I am right or wrong about them. The characters continue to be engaging and some of them, one in particular, extremely distasteful which is good. Certainly no point in liking everyone in the story since you have to hope bad things happen to some of the characters you don't like. As always I am curious to see where the story goes next and look forward to moving on to the next book.

I cannot get enough of this series. Every episode brings us closer and closer to all of the dots connecting. I haven’t decided if I’m going to be relieved or sad when everything is finally revealed. I want to know everything, but that means it has to end.

Fenton and Waltz continue to blow my mind with their creativity and ability to design such a well thought out and complex story while keeping everything easy to understand. With all the different storylines and where they are intersecting and jumping around, any other author would have me shaking my head in confusion. These authors do an amazing job of making everything clear.

Onyx Webb is one of the most addictive series I have ever read. We are shown glimpses into the character’s pasts and personalities, secrets are being revealed in every episode and with every question answered, we get another to ask. I really think this would make an amazing movie, and it’s rare I say that about a book.

Overall, I love this series and I think everyone should read it.
