Lovely beautiful story of love found unexpectedly. Rudy is an omega deer who is out walking with another younger omega, George. Rudy likes to wander and just enjoy nature. On an outing he goes to a lake to relax and enjoy the weather for the coming storm. Then from the bushes comes a clothed human..who draws a knife and throws it. Rudy sends George off while he waylays the hunter. He get hurt and rushes in the exact opposite of the herd;s camp. He finally outruns him and shortly later he sees Vesper picking berries. Vesper is a bear shifter who has moved away from his clan. He;s out hunting for snacks before he settles in for a nap. They meet and when Vesper sees Rudy is injured, he takes him back to his cabin to help him. During the night Rudy comes into his heat and he and Vesper join. The next morning Rudy can tell he;s pregnant. But he is very concerned once again about the hunter since they were set upon by him while out berrying. Life swirls and crashes as both Rudy and Vesper come to terms of being together and finding the hunter.
Great story to read. Lovely story!

Rudy is a deer shifter that loves to be out alone sometimes with out his herd, but when he and another omega wander further then they should and are attacked. Rudy forces the other omega to run and Rudy runs the opposite way to distract the hunter from going to the herd. Rudy lost the hunter but in the process he became lost or further away from his herd in a snow storm. Attempting to walk back, while injured, he came across a bear shifter named Vesper. Vesper is a gentle Alpha that lives away on his on from his sleuth. Helps Rudy through his heat but then they become mated. Vesper takes Rudy on a walk when there is a break in the sow storm, they are both attacked by the hunter. Rudy tries to warn his herd, but the Alpha there doesn't want to believe it and only live in peace. Then Vesper goes to the sleuth to speak to the Alpha there and learns that there has been rumors about a hunter. There is where the travels begin to the city and meeting different people to save their friends and family.

This is book 4 of the Dirge Omegaverse, I’m a big fan of Esme Beal’s she really knows how to write a great M/M story. Vesper is an alpha bear who seeks solitude after leaving his stealth, and Rudy is an omega shapeshifting deer. Rudy was out in the woods with George when they both smelled a man, Rudy tells George to run and warn the herd while Rudy tries to talk to the man buts it’s no good the hunter gets another knife and tries to kill Rudy. Rudy can’t fight back so he shifts and runs off as fast as he can into the Forrest, Rudy stumbles upon Vesper whistling and picking berries in the Forrest. Vesper notices Rudy and see’s that he is bleeding so Vesper takes him back to his cabin. This was a wonderful love story, I loves the characters especially Vesper he reminded me of a big teddy bear and Rudy was such a stubborn omega always curious about everything and usually getting into trouble. I just really enjoyed reading this story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This is a intriguing, captivating book and I thoroughly enjoyed read it. This book is about an alpha (Vesper) who is living a peaceful and solitude life when a omega (Rudy) runs into him after being attacked by a hunter. What you will find in this fascinating book is: bear shifters, strangers, hunters, deer shifters, wolf shifters, drama, intrigue, some suspense, twists & turns, danger, friends, abduction, fighting, attacks, hunts, conflict, peace, lust, passion, love and erotic scenes. The characters are well developed and entwine well with each other with regards to the situation they find themselves in and react with fears, doubts, needs and desires. The story-line is well thought out and written. I would recommend this book.

I love the verse these books are based on, the books only get more interesting and steamer. This one though had a little more air of danger it was hard to put the book down.

Character breakdown;

Vesper; I liked this bear he had the easy nature not suited for a bear but the heart of a warrior. I loved that he found other ways to deal with situations that might have ended one way rather than the other.

Rudy; curiosity got the cat in trouble should be the saying instead of killed the cat. What didn't kill Rudy did get him in trouble, his fierce heart and his need to help others was admiral but good intentions aren't always best. I did enjoy his backbone though.

Great book, beat series a must read especially if you're into Mpreg.

An intriguing, captivating book, interesting and steamer.
The deer shifter Rudy and another omega wander further then they should and are attacked. The both goes opposites direction to loose the hunters, but when Rudy lost his way, further away from his herd in a snow storm & injured himself. Vesper is a gentle Alpha who helps Rudy through his heat.
I like when the charecters entwine with each other regarding the situation they find themselves in and react with fears, doubts, needs and desires. Abduction, fighting, attacks, hunts, conflict, peace, lust, passion, love and erotic scenes. I couldn't put it down it was too ...!!!

Rudy is attacked and chased by a hunter then meets Vesper who takes him back to his cabin.
Omega Rudy and younger omega George are attacked and telling George to run and warn the herd while Rudy leads the hunter in the opposite direction. After losing the hunter he comes across Alpha bear Vesper who takes him to his nearby cabin to patch up his wounds and to shelter from the approaching snowstorm. During the storm Rudy goes into heat and the only way to stop the pain is the attentions of an alpha. A fast paced shifter adventure to relax and enjoy.

I loved reading this very much. I loved how it threw 2 different kind of species together showing that true love knows no shape color or sex. It kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish with a lot of excitement and a lot of sex going on. I am so looking forward to more writings by Esme Beal.

I enjoyed the omega, rudy, and alpha, vespers story It has an interesting plot/story line.
Vesper wasnt quiet the alpha male i would of liked him to be.
finished the book quickly, solid 3.5 stars

A amazing book about Rudy who is a deer shifter and vesper who is a bear shifter.

Veasper saves Rudy when he gets attacked in the woods by hunters with knifes and takes him back to him cabin to keep him warm during the snow storm.
Rudy goes into heat so veasper mates with him and Rudy gets pregnant.

A wonderful book about finding love when you dont expect it and protecting those you love and who are part of your pack/clan.

Very enjoyable alpha/omega shifter romance with mpreg. I love the uniqueness of Ms. Beal's stories and the way she seamlessly connects shifters of different animal races. This story includes a mystery hunter, danger, heat, and steamy romance.
