During Color War, Natalie buddies up to the sixth division girls and ditches her fifth division friends, who couldn't be more immature. Then Nat inadvertently catches the attention of a sixth division boy, and without so much as a blink of an eye, she's kicked out of the sixth division circle flat on her fifth division butt. Will Nat's friends take her back? Sure, but first she'll have to own up to a lot of immaturity on her part.
Okay. I mean, this is a nice book and all, but my only problem is Natalie. UM, so you just ditch your friends once a cooler girl talks to you? That's not cool. Firstly, she ditches her old best friend, Alyssa for a new best friend, Tori. After that, she ditches Tori for Lainie and then Tori and Natalie make up. Then she ditches Tori again? What the hell?! For guess who? Reed. Her 3rd boyfriend in this series. I also don't like her because she's mean. She's mean to Chelsea and Gaby. They all are. Chelsea and Gaby can be snarky sometimes, but nobody's perfect! Chelsea is really suffering about her dad while all of the other girls are just talking about petty drama like whether this cardigan looks better than that or whatever. It's not that I don't like this series. I do. It's just that I don't really like Natalie. That and the fact that Alex's team always wins colour war.
(LL) I would have given this three stars if the recycling wagon hadn’t been making second rounds: Two girls like the same guy and there is drama. Shocker! There was a slight difference in the set up than the other times, but still boring, and most of the drama is not realistic to how people actually behave or think in similar situations. Also, the line about how one of the nurses COULD be beautiful if she would wear makeup occasionally? What the hell is that toxic language doing in a kid’s book?!
Easy read. When the oldest/"coolest" girl at camp, Lainie, invites Natalie to hang out with her during Color War, Natalie is thrilled, and begins to start ditching her friends to hang out with Lainie. Unfortunately, this is when Tori needs her the most because she has been chosen to be the unlikely captain of the blue team for their bunk. After an embarassing kayak race for Natalie, the cutest guy at camp decides to start hanging out with her, too. Natalie thinks she has it made, until both her groups of friends start to turn against her.
I read the Camp Confidential books in like sixth grade, but I just realized that they came out with more when i was in seventh grade, and i was really bored so i just decided to read the rest of them. this book was good but a little boring and i guess more for younger kids. In the camp confidential series, a bunch of girls go to camp, in this particualr one, tori and natalie have to deal with the sixth division popular girls try to make friends with natalie, but everyone else thinks shes gettting used by them!
I really liked this book. I liked it because I can relate to it. I can relate to it because it is about a group of girls with drama. I think any teenage girl would love this book. Trust me you will be able to realate to it. This book is about this group of teenage girls. They always have their main leader. They are all friends but they all talk about each other. There is so much drama between then. If you are a teenage girl you will like it!
Summer before 8th grade. Valerie's captain of the Red team. Tori's captain of the Blue team. Natalie has a new boyfriend Logan and is being used by Lainie who likes Logan too.
