The story takes the reader from the present with Bruce struggling to cope and steps into the past when life was simpler. Readers will find some characters are filled with tenderness in their heart, while others have evil but love transcends all time.
I enjoyed reading this book. It is always an honor to read someone else's work, and this was an honor to read. It's an interesting premise that brings the reader in and holds on to them. The characters have depth and a great back story. The character Bruce is very dynamic, and how he is connected to the timeline and past of Chickenneck. It's full of suspense and it brings a great twist to this tale. Ortiz pens a very good story. I look forward to more stories from this new author.
