Hold your loved ones close, islanders… Life for Lily Locke has not been normal ever since she learned of her witchy heritage, but now more than ever, her world is spiraling out of control. When a series of strange events begins to tear her beloved island apart, it’s up to the famed Mixologist to seek out the most powerful wizard in the world and spare him from death. However, as Lily begins the hunt for the Master of Magic, she encounters a prophecy that could destroy everyone she’s come to know and love. …there is darkness on the horizon. **************************************************************************************************************************** Amuletto Kiss is the fifth book in The Magic & Mixology Mystery Series. Though it can be read as a standalone, it's best read in series order. This novel is a full-length, humorous cozy mystery featuring a splash of magic, a handful of witches, and a dash of romance. It's rated PG-13 due to mild language and some romance.
Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Gina LaManna has also called Italy and Los Angeles home. After studying numbers and equations in college, she realized multiple choice tests were “just not for her” and began writing books instead. She loves cappuccino foam and whipped cream and would subsist solely on sprinkles if possible. She currently lives in St. Paul with her wonderful husband and family.
the story deepens as the search for the magic master is on.
I like Ainsley. "the undercover witch" is apparently a spin-off story revolving around her. I'm guessing it was the start of a new series. I definitely want to read that. I think a spin-off w/her would be great.
No spoilers: but seriously Lily, you should have said NO! I mean girl, you're surrounded by people using magic. should of kept that in mind. and if i've learned anything from the tv show "Supernatural", it's that prophecies suck big time! plus, they're not always as literal as you think. I definitely want to see how the writer gets herself out of this box she's cornered the character into.
Cool cross-over with the sixth borough mystery series. If you like this series (obvi b/c this is book 5) then i highly suggest you read her Hex Files-6th Borough mystery series next. Apparently, this was the way she introduced that world & the 6th borough is a spin-off of the mixology series.
This instalment has been on my TBR but the previous instalment hadn't been my favourite sit took me a while to getting round to this one. This one I enjoyed more, I liked that we visited in both spin off series areas( this book is actually kind of the introduction for one) and mostly i found this storyline and mystery both interesting and fun. There were some little points in Lily and X's relationship that irked me but mostly I liked their relationship also. This instalment left me ready quite keen to move on to the next book andI am really enjoying the world this stopry is written in and am looking forward to continuing. I give this instalment 3 3/4 stars
I fell in love with Gina’s writing bc of this series & have gobbled up so many of her books bc of it! I love her characters! So fun and whimsical yet so true to real life. I love ‘going to the isle’ it’s literally magical. The twist and turns in this series leave you wanting more yet you are happy with the conclusion of each book. I can’t wait to see where this series goes next! I’ll be impatiently wait my next trip to the isle!
ok 1/4 of the way through the book and I was screaming at Lily for not telling Ranger X how hurt she was and so, so angry at him for just assuming she had gone behind his back with the article TRUST is just as important as love you can't have one without the other and he showed he didn't trust her at all that saddened me and made me angry, I was also angry at both Gus and Zin for not setting Ranger X straight they could have had Lily's back and set him straight but everyone just seems to caught up in everything to notice Lily most of the time, she just seems to be there as the mixologist but she is a person to.
No after that tirade you may think I didn't like the book but you would be wrong, I loved it you have to know for me if a book evokes strong emotions I'm generally in love with it.
Amuletto Kiss was a great addition to the Magic and Mixology series, while I think Lily's character needs to toughen up I do like her softer side I just really don't like that she let's people run all over her at times, she needs to speak up more, I loved that she got out on her own more in this one visiting Ainsley was fun and going with Hettie to Wicked was an interesting addition.
I'm thinking we need shorts from Poppy and Zin's POV soon then Hettie, the Aunts and Ranger X as well to really bring the isle to life as a series maybe even a spin-off series just on the Rangers with each story being about a new Ranger :-).
This series is a Cozy Witch series (some love em, some hate em). Looks like I hadn't bothered to review or mark as read Books 1 through 4. Part of that is that the heroine does TSTL every book and the hero isn't flushed out - his name is Ranger so you get to fill in the blanks from you-know-what. I believe that concept of him is what carries most folks more than this writing. The first book had some humor/silliness - by the 5th it's just storyline, no humor.
On the plus side, her witch has different talents and there's enough of a plot line to make reading the books easy (if the above notations aren't the type to drive you nuts).
I enjoyed this author's The Undercover Witch The Undercover Witch best of all she's written and do wish she'd add another there. If you were going to start with Gina Lamanna, start with that.
If you're a fan of cozy witch books and don't mind some TSTL, you'll most likely enjoy these as the writing does keep her story moving along.
I LOVE her covers for this series. So many available on KU have covers that are simply off-putting (ditto what gets pushed from Bookbub or Goodreads in email). Kudos there.
I continue to be more and more obsessed by these books and the characters. The complexity and development in this one particularly is incredible!! Why this series hasn’t been adapted to TV yet flabbergasts me?!! ✨✨✨✨✨
Oh my gosh!! Gina killed it again! I couldn't get enough and I can't wait for more! Ranger X has stolen my heart even more!! Amuletto Kiss will have your brain and emotions all over the map trying to figure out what will happen next!
With every Magic and Mixology book we learn more about Lily and her status as Mixologist and everything that entails. With every new development another layer of mystery is added in Amuletto Kiss. I think I have things figured out and I realize that I will never be able to predict what will happen next in these stories, but it's safe to say that I will LOOOVE IT!
I don't think I have ever gasped as much while reading as I have reading Amuletto Kiss. I spent so much time ping ponging through different emotions, from anger and outrage to lust and love that I didn't know I would land when all was said and done. I'm still reeling from the ending and to say I'm still in a state of shock and awe is an understatement!
If you haven't had the opportunity to dive into the Magic and Mixology world, I highly recommend you start with Hex on the Beach and begin binge reading this series!
I can't imagine the Isle without Mixologist Lily Locke! She is such a caring and creative person, always doing for others and making potions to help others. In doing so, someone has taken advantage of her and ordered all her stock of Long Isle Iced Tea.
Meanwhile Lily has a document from Peter Knope that she is holding on to until it is the right time to publish it. Somehow her bedroom is broken into and the story is prematurely released in the paper. This leads the residents of the Isle to stream to the Mixologist and ask for serious spells of protection. It also leads to hurt feelings and strain between Lily and Ranger X.
In the end, it is Lily who must solve the problems on the Isle and seeks help from her old friend Ainsley Shaw. Ainsley takes her to the most amazing library in the city and helps her find books to borrow about the Gods, the Master of Magic, and anything to help her stop the Faction from destroying the Isle.
This is the fifth book of the series, and it answers many question we have raised before as well as some that readers hadn't even thought of yet. I am amazed at how the author brought in details from the first book that at the time were glossed over, and made them focal points of this book. It also brings Lily and X closer to their marriage and happy ever after, another thing readers have been wanting for several books!
Probably the best book in the series, Ms LaManna has combined several mysteries, many family issues, and incredible magical potions and ideas. In fact, she has disclosed a new magical location that is seperate from the Isle. If you just discovered this book, stop right here. You HAVE to read the books in order. If you start the series in the middle you will be so confused that you will miss the enjoyment of one of the best contemporary magic series ever written. Start with the first book, Hex on the Beach, and discover a magical world you will want to go back to time and time again.
Your first books are fun, but as the series ages the characters never learn from their mistakes and mistrust. Then there was the borrowing from other series. God's And goddesses And demi-gods? The cliffhanger at the end clinched it. Perfectly ridiculous soap opera nonsense. Sorry. This series was fun but now it's too stressful to keep reading.
4.5 stars for the whole series ⭐️This is a review for the WHOLE 8 book series. I did the audiobooks. In my opinion this was a perfect audiobook read.
My rating is based on MY ENJOYMENT of this series not necessarily because it was the best series or books I have ever read. It just hit the spot for me.
🌟Brief Summary: ‼️Such a fun and delightful series! Gah I loved it. ♥️SAFE! ‼️Closed door romance ‼️Cozy Magical world ‼️Building storyline w each book ‼️Great Audiobook ‼️Likeable characters ‼️Sweet and swoon Romance ‼️Quick short books that are jam packed
‼️This series follows Lily when she finds out she isnt human but a witch with magical powers. She is THE Mixologist. There is only one in the world at a time and she is the MOST powerful to come along maybe EVER. She is taken by her two aunts to a magical island where her family lives and she has a whole mixology bungalow and store.
‼️We follow Lily as she finds out secrets about her mom and dad, falls in love, learns about magic and becomes more powerful. She is very kindhearted and always has to solve mystery each book BUT also the over arching plot builds and gets better with each book.
♥️The Romance is so sweet. To me it was very balanced w the mystery and plot WHICH I LOVE. It’s hard to find decent Romance in these types of books that are not set to the background.
Around book 4 the mystery and plot line does get slightly darker. Not a crazy amount but the stakes get higher and higher.
Things I Did 💔 Not Like
-As the books go on I found myself confused by Lilys Reactions to things sometimes. At times she was just immature and jumped to extreme judgement without all the facts. It got annoying after a while.
-Zin is not m fav character she is very selfish. Infact sometimes certain members her family annoyed me
-This sometimes reads very YA. When these characters are late 20s early 30s.
🥀 Hero: Ranger X- Lead Ranger on the island He’s Hot 🔥 He’s super swoon😍 He is head over heels in love with Lily ♥️
He’s very powerful and very secluded from any form of relationship or romance. It’s his job that keeps him that way. The way of a Ranger is that they don’t have personal connections. But our boy changes EVERYTHING to be with his one true love ♥️
🦋 Heroine: Lily- THE Mixologist She is kind hearted At times immature and reactive Sometimes takes a while to get the clues together But overall is sweet and kind and doing a great job with what she has been thrown at her. I can’t say I always understood her but overall the good out weighed the bad
💭 POV: Single first person POV told through the h
😡/😍 Angst level: Low with occasional medium
❤️🔥 Sex & Burn Rate: Slow build but def tons of chemistry throughout there is immediate attraction but it’s not acted on. By the end of book 3 they are together but still have issues to work through -Closed door-
🌓 Push/Pull: Mild for the first few books. There is reasons they cannot pursue a relationship so there are complications.
☠️ OW/OM Drama: None
🤮 OW/OM Sex / Fluid or DNA Exchange: None
🤬 Cheating: None
👰🏼♀️ Virgins: None No history given for either, No past brought up Neither had loved anyone before
⛈️Separation/ 3rd Act Breakup: None They def have lots to work through but once together they never separated
🎧AUDIO ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ great I think the narrator did great. She showed emotion, changed her voice for diff characters and she had a good clear voice.
Safety⚠️Triggers🗡️: Nothing major typical bad guy stuff but there was some death in the family and some bad daddy issues
🌈Epilogue: There is a few lead ins to a spin off connected to this world with new characters small and short.
Yes! Not far in the future but def starting to work HEA!
🥂HEA: Yes! Married and got the big baddie
❌My opinion is just that… MY OPINION.❌ I know we all get passionate about our favorite reads and characters but we should respect each opinions a thoughts. ~Thank you

When I first started reading this series by indie author Gina Lamanna, I thought it would be a cool mix of fantasy meets a cozy mystery. Being a fan of both, I was intrigued. But looking closely at characteristics of both genres, I realized that it is better described as a cozy mystery with a fantasy setting. Cozy lovers will fine this book a lot of fun while fantasy lovers will find it lacking in the emotional depth and insight into today’s societal problems. This series of books is a lot of fun to read and are perfect for a bubble bath and a glass of wine, a relaxing vacation, or as an amusing escape after a hard day of work.
As a cozy mystery all the boxes are checked. Amateur detective (Lily Locke) – check; a loved one in the police force (Ranger X – the dreamy head of the witch version of a police force called the Rangers) – check; an enclosed world (an island for magical beings hidden away from the rest of the world) – check; the detective has a job where she interacts often with the public (Mixology and Magic potions bar and shop) – check and check. It meets all characteristics and excels at them. Lily Locke is charming and fun, bungling her way through the magical world that is new the her and solving mysteries along the way. She has a rare innate ability to create a potion, which is the title of each book, that is ultimately just the thing she needs to successfully solve the crime and save the day.
The cast of characters is eclectic and endearing, with a spirited, younger-than-her-chronological-years grandmother, a cousin who is a vampire with a blood intolerance, a boyfriend who is strong and handsome, and a mentor/helper who is the grumpy fatherly type. This cast of characters is reminiscent of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series, one of my personal favorites.
Though it has touches of the fantasy genre, if you try to compare it to an epic fantasy series of which there are many authors to cite, such as Tolkien, Goodkind, Rowling, and so many more, you may find it lacking. It contains magic and magical beings, so it has a surface check but the deeper elements that bind the fantasy genre are missing. The inherit nature of good and evil and a deep personal struggle are there but a pale reflection found of the themes found in epic fantasy novels. And the most important aspect of fantasy, the foil reflecting a current day societal issue, is not apparent. I’m not sure that anyone could marry the two genres successfully as those traits this series lacks conflict with the cozy mystery traits and would compromise its classification in that genre.
As I have said, from a person who spent a month reading the entire Agatha Christie series featuring both Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, this series does not disappoint. I have thoroughly enjoyed all five books and look forward to the 6th.
An edge of your seat thrilling supernatural cozy with fantastic characters woven in an incredible story line!
This is the fifth book in a paranormal series where each book keeps you riveted to your seat and you just can't put them down until you have finished! With the Faction looking to upset the world power and random acts keep happening on the Isle where the town feels they can't trust the Rangers or Ranger X or even Lily the Mixologist. Who is doing these things and why? How is this going to affect the romantic relationship between Lily and Ranger X. There is a very well woven storyline here where Lily MUST find the Master of Magic to protect the prophecy and protect him from the leader of the FACTION, her evil father. There are a few different locations we are taken to as Lily is also trying to find out what really happened to her mother. We get to meet Ainsley' quirky family, who treat her like a movie star. And of course Hettie takes Lily to the fantastic Sixth Borough (in NY) that no one knows about where witches, wizards, vampires and other supernatural entities live, to find the "keeper." Who keeps the Master of Magic's location secret and also a great place to shop! Here we meet some fun new characters. All these storylines are woven in a fantastic way that you just can't put this book down! Can't wait to read more. The end is a great surprise! I actually found myself catching my breath a few times! I received and ARC from the author, but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
In this installment from the Isle, Lily's world is flipped upside down and her world (and that of the Isle) are in mass chaos, (even Ranger X is struggling in this one.) She is needed to protect the Master of Magic, except no one knows where he is. If anything happens to him, their world, as they know it will end. Lily sets out to find him, and learns a lot more about herself and her family than she ever dreamed of. There is a lot of action that takes place in this book. It's a busy book, with lots going on and not much down time. We see Lily in a different light in this book as well. She is forced to be stronger than ever, yet emotionally drained. We get to see all the usual players, Ranger X, Poppy, Zin, grumpy Gus (who actually has some ungrumpy moments,) and all the rest, plus we meet a few new people. There's a more somber vibe throughout this entire book. A few happy moments, but mostly solemn. The writing is quite descriptive. You won't have a hard time imaging the scenes, even if they are all in a magical world.
You will be a little lost if you haven't read the other books in the series, so I would suggest you read them first. While each book has a mystery of sorts that gets settled in the book, there are storylines that carry over from book to book.
It is a clean read as far as sexual content, but there is some violence of sorts that may be too advanced for younger readers to understand. I would recommend for 14/15 years old and up.
I have enjoyed this series, but as I read this book I found myself to be a bit annoyed at points. Mostly at the redundancy that made Lily appear stupid. For example, she when she is first informed about the Master of Magic, she is given some key information. But for whatever reason, when the subject comes up again with another character, Lily asks a question about it like she doesn't already know the answer - so is she just stupid or does she have a really bad memory? Either way, the reader has now been told something twice, so we are clued in that it is really important, which completely ruins any potential twist or mystery. This is a common theme in the book, and was aggravating me this round.
Also, why is it now that she has created two very powerful mixes / spells that can change you into someone else (body or mind) and the more you use it the harder it is to revert to yourself. Does this not concern her? One might say it is because she has too much else happening in her life, but I think it would cause a major problem down the road.
The love story was just a continuation and the big status update seemed trivial... like we all knew it was coming and when it finally happened, it was anticlimactic.
The story could still be fun, and the characters are still well loved, but this book just seemed like a bit let down in the series. Hopefully the next one will be better.
If you have been reading this series and wondering when Lily is going to turn into a complete superhero, this book is where it starts. There are so many things going on in this one that it may make your head spin, but at the same time, these are all welcome things. I noticed that this one focuses much more on Lily and not as much on her family, except for her mother, which is a completely different story.
At the same time, I welcome the fact that Lily is coming more into her powers, and the fact that she is pretty much selfless makes her the best kind of hero. Besides that, she happens to be a world-class mixologist, which is rather entertaining by itself.
We also see a different side of Gus and Ranger X in this one, sides we always knew were there, but haven’t gotten a taste of yet. The more time I spend reading about the isle, the more complicated yet fascinating it becomes. As the story wraps up, we get a look into what is going to be next, and it is something to get excited about as well.
Pick this one up if you have been reading the series and are desperate to keep up with your favorite inhabitants of the isle.
I received an ARC, and voluntarily reviewed this title.
I am so incredibly disappointed in this book! This series has been lighthearted and fun to read (though the threads are no where near expertly woven, so often times there are plot holes or things wrap up far too easily/quickly that leaves the reader jarred).
This book, however, was by far the worst in the series.
It started slow - so slow in fact I stopped reading around 20% and only recently came back to it after a long break to read other books - and when it finally picked up, it did so with a sad, sexist whimper.
To reduce the heroine who has shined for four books down to her uterus, peppered in of course with how she's only able to make a spell NO ONE ELSE has been able to for centuries because she's a woman, is so ridiculously narrow-minded.
With the rigid gender roles enforced in this book, I shouldn't have been surprised that suddenly Lily only matters because . These sexist tropes are overdone, exhausting, and, quite frankly, annoying af to still be reading in 2019.
It's lazy writing and there are too many writers who actually put effort into their characters and plot lines to waste on one who refuses to.
Best one yet. The journey continues for Lily and Ranger X. Lily is pulled further into discovering who she really is and her role in the prophecy mentioned in previous books. Will she find the Master of Magic or will the Keeper find her lacking after his tests? Ranger X, Zin, Poppy, Trinket and Lily all have a lot riding on this book. Rangers X is trying to instill a sense of safety back into the Isle after a series of random acts and an article that has the residents antsy and fearful. Lily's relationships are tested. Can she save the Master of Magic from the Faction? This was a page Turner the whole way. Gina Lamanna has a beautifully creative mind and has created a fascinating world. It draws you in. I care about these characters and what happens to them. Mark of a great author. Highly recommend this book. Definitely need to start at beginning to fully understand what is going on along with the depth of the characters portrayed. **received as ARC for honest review**
The author takes you on a fantastical journey in this book as Lily searches for the Master of Magic in order to protect him and save the Isle from an impending war with The Faction. Lily has really come a long way with her powers and settling down into her legacy of being the Mixologist. Her relationship with Ranger X has some play in the storyline as well, but does not overwhelm it.
This author has so much imagination - a magical sixth borough of New York?! and I loved the mythological spin in the storyline and the town of Olympia (Olympus) where the descendants of the ancient gods live - like I said, so much imagination in this book. I have always been attracted to the titles of the books - the play on names of cocktails - and the sophisticated cover art is very appealing!
What I really like about a series is when the author improves upon every previous book published- and this author has done that in spades in this one - very fast-paced, suspenseful, magical and just plain entertaining reading. I can't recommend it highly enough!
And... back we are at the Isle where unrest rules after a newspaper article is published announcing The Faction has returned.
Lily and Ranger X experience a (small) bump in their relationship when chaos rules and trust in the Rangers and The Mixologist is on a record low. Strange things are happening and Lily has several things on her mind. Trinket and Lily herself need closure on the death of Lily's mother but an essential ingredient for Lily's new potion has been stolen. Meanwhile Lily also needs to find The Master of Magic to warn him of the dire plans of The Faction. But how can you find someone so powerful and hidden?
So many things happen and we get to see new area's where magic rules and Lily discovers new things about her heritage and her mother. And new threats arise of course.
Another engrossing read. I think this series is my favorite of Gina LaManna at this time (even when I love all her series). I love the magic world and the characters!
This is a great book; this is the fifth book in the Magic & Mixology Mystery series written Gina LaManna. Life for Lily Locke has not been normal ever since she learned of her witchy heritage, but now more than ever, her world is spiraling out of control. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
I always get so excited when Gina LaManna has a new book. I love her books and this one is exceptional! She has a fantastic way of keeping her books fresh and lively. This one does not disappoint. With the lively characters and the beautiful scenery, it will keep you guessing until the end. The only bad thing with this book? Now I'm sad....because I finished the book and I wish it could have gone on forever. LoL I cannot recommend this book, or any of her others, enough. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I have. Even if you haven't read the others I think you can still have fun with it, but there is so more enrichment by knowing how Lily came into her magic and how she came to the island. I do not do spoilers, so you'll have to find that and a lot more by reading the books. ;) I received a copy of this book in hopes of my review.
This series is very stressful with the weight of what happened i the last book there is still uncertain h of what the faction plans to do next. The usually pleaser weather on the isle is stormy and dark. Someone found and published Peter knopes note with out the knowledge and permission of Lily Locke. Aya he things are occurring without any traces of who and what it may he from. The creatures of the isle are loosing trust in the Rangers and the mixologist. The very people assigned to protect the island and its creatures. This puts stress on Lily and Rangers X relationship. Lily comes up with a new potion that has never been thought to be more then a myth. She also discovery’s so many mysterious thing about her mother, the necklace around her neck and who she is meant to be is greater then she could comprehend.
Lily's journey from human to mixologist has been turbulent to say the least!
And now the darkness is coming! Strange things are happening, items are being stolen just as they are required, and the person being seen stealing is the one person the isle look to for protection, Ranger X! Not only the protector of the isle, but the love of Lily's life, she trusts him with her heart, but so many rumours are flying can she find the truth, can she find the Master of Magic? can she do all this before the Faction bring down the world as we know it?!
As I write this tear's are falling from my eyes, the emotional rollercoaster I've been through with this book! Did I enjoy it? Yes! Would I recommend it? Oh yes!! Can I wait for book six? So long as it's super speedy quick!!!
The Mixologist is having a hard time keeping up with the attacks from The Faction and other mysterious forces on The Isle.
Lily fiercely wants to protect her family and loved ones here on The Isle, but the evil grows fast as The Faction steps up their attacks. Lily and Ranger X are strAined and spread thin. Then after quite a few people disappear including Lilly's cousin, Poppy ....Lily's father appears and kidnaps her from the island. Encased in the angry black cloud that holds Wishery captive, it does not seem like escape is possible. Lily's father, who she never knew, does not care for her daughter, but only wants to use her powers to further his evil intentions. As good fights desperately to counter this horrible level evil, her father comes up with a horrendous way to try and control all magic.
When I read the first Magic and Myxology series book, Hex on the Beach, I thought ... These are cute witch stories, but not a lot of meat to them. But as I kept reading each new book, they got better and better. The stories had more substance, the characters grew and matured and of course they had all the mystical events that come with life in a hidden world of magic, on a secret island inhabited by magical beings.
This book #5 has more ups and downs along with impossible twists and turns than any roller coaster ever dreamed.
As Lilly develops her craft and her powers increase, her life becomes more complicated, to say nothing of her love life! It's a fantastic adventure for the reader, and totally enjoyable.
"Amuletto Kiss" is the fifth book in Gina LaManna's "The Magic & Mixology Mystery Series". Lily's main goal throughout the course of the book is to save the Master of Magic. However, when Peter's article is printed without her consent the Isle panics and it is no picnic for the mixologist. Overall, I like this series. I suggest starting with book one. There are a couple of instances in this book that I wanted to smack Lily for her choices but they needed to be made that way otherwise the overall plot line for the series wouldn't be able to move forward. Can't wait to find out what happens next!
Gina LaManna does it again... a fabulous, intriguing story. This the 5th instalment in the Magic and Mixology series has mystery and suspense, excitement and passion. Lily and Ranger X are yet again solving mysteries on The Isle, and also trying to save Magic from the dreaded Faction, led by Luly’s father Lucian. This is an epic tale a magic and mystery, friendship and family, and love and partnership. It is a great read and I can’t wait for the 6th book, and the new exciting spin-off coming out this summer!!! Such excitement :)
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Gina's books should be on the New York Times bestseller list. She has an amazing way off breathing life into her characters and you cannot put her books down from start to finish. Lily is thrust into a battle between good and evil. A new town is visited (and a rockiing new way of travel), some new characters and new potions. The ending leaves you mouth wide open with its cliff hanger. I feel you are working Gina to death begging for the next book but really, is the next book in this series ready like yesterday!
