Getting Tail
Las Vegas these days is magical... literally.
No one's sure yet how spells and enchantments work, but that hasn't stopped people from using them to get rich. When three men meet up during a college summer break, they visit the new Tricksters' Den nightclub and wake up to find themselves slowly transforming three different ways. Are they all fated to become cute foxgirls, or is there a way out -- and at what price?

What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Vegas.
I almost thought this will be like the Hangover with a gender bend element. Three guys checkout a kitsune style night club, and they wake up with curses that turns them into foxgirls. I liked the concept and the mysterious magic in that universe. Fantasy creatures are common and Las Vegas just happens to have pockets of them. Not only there are mythical foxes, but other anthropomorphic creatures too. What I didn't like is the miss opportunity the story has to offer. I expected when the guys become foxgirls, they would get into mischief and use their powers to solve their own problems. Instead, nothing much happens after they get cursed. They get a job at the nightclub while touring Las Vegas, and pretty much the plot is just slice of life. Also their transformation only works at night, which doesn't give them much trouble. The only high stake is the climax, and then the story ends without a payoff. The characters are fine, but it would be interesting what kind of problems they go through as foxgirls. This book will only satisfy you if you are into casuel stories with gender bending elements. Otherwise, you might get disappointed like me.

Pleasant little fantasy
Four stars, because I'm not sure I accept some of the twists. I'm not spoiling if I say people get tails, but even with the fur they have some self-discovery. If you like fantasy about people becoming foxy, give Paul's /Getting Tail/ a read.

Not expected.
Good story, decent writing, decent pace. Its Vagas. Weird things happen, and not all of it is okay. It has a beginning, a middle, and a twist, and was more slice of life than expected. Would read more from this author.
