Jenna's Dilemma doesn't miss a beat, welcoming us back into Bunk 3C at Lakeview Camp. This time we are one Jenna's journey through camp. Jenna has her own light, being known as the camp prankster, having pulled pranks literally every summer. This year it is more important than ever for Jenna to prove her individuality. Jenna finds herself becoming angry and upset at her constant siblings' "intrusions" and pressence in her camp life. Her sister is friends wither her counselor and Jenna is paired with her brother for their extra activity in photography. No matter how hard she tries she just can't seem to get away from there. Meanwhile, time is quickly approaching the yearly Camp Social Dance. Chosen to be on the planning committee, Jenna sees this as an opportunity to finally be happy this year. Unfortunately, she finds herself still upset and plans a prank that can end very badly for her.
Melissa J. Morgan's second installment in her Camp Confidential series is just as much fun as the first. Jenna is a witty, fun and sneaky character, with heart and soul. While Jenna is more concerned about having fun this summer, learning how to swim to the next level and pulling pranks, her bunk mates and every other camper seems to be more concerned about getting a date for the Camp Social.
You know from the very beginning that Jenna has something brewing inside her, and you pretty much guess right away what is going on with her. But that is not the point of this novel. You get to see Jenna change over the summer, learning how to come to terms with some things that she cannot control. Even more so, Jenna's friends remain by her side even after she risks loosing them all.
Jenna's Dilemma is written in a fun and easy manner, making this a very quick read. Melissa J. Morgan has once again made summer camping fun and thrilling. She has wonderfully created characters that you want to get to know more, wanting to know what happens to them after we leave them and even when they go home at the end of the summer. A girl who goes to summer-camp in a forest and knows everything and everyone. She plays pranks on the newbies and her obnoxious twin brother. The problem is that she can't dive with all of the other people her age and her brother showing off and being in the highest group while she is stuck a couple levels below that.Jenna also has to put up with her annoying sister who babies her like shes her mother.What more can go wrong at summer-camp? Oh right, shes the only one this year without a date to the camp social(dance)!Her "oh-so-perfect" parents are coming to parent night who always treats her like they miss her and give her goodies to come back. And the newbies are taking over!
The book Jenna's Dilemma is one of the worst stories I have ever read! It's very boring and nothing is going on. The problems she faces are very minor and is a very easy reading level. It's like when your bored and it's raining outside and all you have to do is play board games for 4 hours. It just rambles on and on about nothing! While you wait for the exciting "action and drama" in the book it's already over. This is book #2 in the series of Camp Confidential but I do not recommend the other books either because it's just the other girls at the camp other side of the story on the same year. Some of the characters are interesting but nothing else is exciting.

in this book I felt was very slow because there was not a lot going on until the end of the book and also like when she starts going to this camp and writing all these letters to from the camp i started to get confused of why she was writing them and then when I had gotten to the end of the book I relized it was to a person that she was very close to.

My Personal Essay
Sisters should never try to overshadow each other because it may lead to a life long distance and you don’t want that.
Overshadowing may lead to arguments and fighting. For example, at thanks giving dinner my uncles were asking Arrielle and I about our future careers. Every time I said something she would try to add something to hers making it sound better than mines. Of course Arrielle kept on going with her uninteresting career and blahh, blahh, blahh.
Just like on thanks giving Arrielle thought she was so much cooler than me when Arrielle was drawing Herminie from Harry Potter and I kept on trying to make a dog that looked better than a life like picture of Herminie. I was really angry that day because my mommy ended up framing Herminie, but where’s my doggy at? Well, that’s a good question how about we ask the garbage man. As a matter of fact we still have old Herminie, hanging up in our kitchen, but she couldn’t hang up my doggy even if she thought it was ugly come on I was six.
Then, there was a time when I got mad at my parents because they bought Arrielle a new coat and not me. And remind you I really wanted that coat; Arrielle didn’t even like it she just wanted to keep it because she knew I wanted it. She even said it. TO MY FACE! How rude.

This book reminded me of my secret want to go to a summer camp, like I would not have survived at a summer camp but the idea of it sounds fun.
In this one we follow Jenna who is a camp legacy, she’s been going there for years as well as all of her siblings. But this year is different, at home Jenna’s family is going through some things and it causes her to want to distance herself from her siblings and brings out some destructive behavior. Jenna and her siblings have always been known for pulling pranks so Jenna resorts to this behavior when she’s feeling down or frustrated and they slowly escalate as the summer goes on resulting in a prank Jenna regrets.
I’ve read this book before years ago and liked it and I liked it this time around too. These girls are like eleven I believe so I do take that into account for their behavior but at times Jenna was annoying me. She was upset her siblings were reacting the way she was to the family news and figured they just didn’t care but they were dealing with things their own way as she comes to realize at the end and there were times that she’d make comments about the other girls and then think to herself how she shouldn’t have said that because it was mean and I don’t think she ever actually apologized for her behavior.

I know it’s a preteen book, and I shouldn’t be critiquing it that hard, but they fumbled the ending. No way Jenna got off that easily for her biggest prank. No way at all.

This book is all about Jenna and her and her crazy pranks and annoying family. Jenna is like a legend at camp everyone know and loves her. But the camp also knows her twin brother and her older CIT sister Stephanie. Also in a way her mom and dad are pretty popular to sending deserts to Jenna every week. Jenna is not being very fond of her family and they are kind of making her look bad and treating her like a baby. Jenna is also usually really bubbly and outgoing but this yea it's different she's just not the same anymore. Jenna then try's to get a little happier by doing the biggest prank eve but that kind of back fires and she goes a little to far. Jenna just once a little independence but is having a lot of trouble. She is also having a little trouble with boys because usually all the girls at camp are not really into guys but this Yeager with a little help from Nat they all started getting into them. So when they found out their was a fancy dance at camp they all had a date except for Jenna and hat was just terrible for her. Her big severity does get reveled but I'm not going to spoil it. Jenna does end up having a great summer!

It has taken me awhile to write this review, but I am so glad to be reading this series again. It brings me back to that age and remembering how weird the world is and my emotions and what it was like to be a tween.
This second book continues the summer with Jenna's point of view. I can definitely sympathize with Jenna's character for the fact that when one big thing occupies your mind, it almost feels like you're struggling to keep everything in your life going uphill even when it doesn't need to be. So then your mind is clouded and you're basically seeing the world through skewed lenses and it's not fun. It's heavy and burdensome and for the most part, you don't even know why. Rereading this book has shown me the lessen that I missed as a tween. I enjoy how relatable and understandable the emotions and the character development is. I also enjoy all of the camp aspects (especially since I've never been to a sleep-away summer camp). Morgan does a great job with the story line and the plot. This book is a quick read, so it's constantly moving so there is no lull anywhere in the book. It's a good mental break from reality.

Another fun book from the Camp Confidential series. I like how each book is full of light-hearted camp adventures, but also focuses on a more serious subject that might affect some of the series' readers (divorce, physical illness, feeling like one doesn't fit in). Also, while all are written in the third person, they are each told from the perspective of a different character. In other books, Jenna comes across as a bit of a know-it-all braggart, but in this book, told from her perspective, we gain insight into her thoughts and motivators and can understand why she behaves the way she does. I'm totally too old to be enjoying these books so much! :)

This is a series of books by Melissa J. Morgan. I'm not sure how many are in the series, but my library has quite a few of them. They are full of fun and antics of 9 to 10 year old girls. This book is all about camp. Jenna is in Bunk 3C this year. She's a veteran of camp and there are several new girls this year. Jenna always plays a prank on the new girls. What will her prank be this year? Will it work or flop? You'll have to read the book to find out.

I don't know why I am bothering with these but they make for easy reads and I want to finish my year challenge! So anywho. I did'nt mind it....It was not as interesting as I would have hoped, this one boring me the most but im going to put through all the rest cause Im a legend. I like the whol concept of the camp. I would love to go to a summer camp like this.

December 30, 2020This is really, really cute. It's one of those "girl groups doing things" books, you know? Think Baby-Sitters Club or Sleepover Friends, but modernized. Or that one series, Camp Sunnyside, would probably be pretty similar. (I own a copy of one, but have not read it.) Read the rest on my blog.

This book mostly tells us about the life of Jenna , a prankster among her friends , in Camp Lakeside View . Since her 3 older siblings have already attended the same camp before , she doesnt want to be treated as just "one of the Bloom kids" , but is constantly searching for opportunities to become a legacy in the Camp through her various pranks. Good for readers 12 and above

Wow, this one is even more like Camp Numanu then the first!
I can totally relate to how she felt on the whole Diving thing. Thats how i felt when i was doing the Swim Test. I thought i was going to have a Asthma attack and fail but--i did have a asthma attack but i still passed!
OH, and i love the part when she has to find a date--i haven't quite through anymore....

I'd really give it a 4 and 2/3 but, annoyingly, you can't do that. It was eally enjoyable, and you could read it quickly. If I wanted a lightt-reading, this would be one good book. I'mreading New Moon now, and because it's pretty dragging and dark, this was a nice break, especially at th start of term.

I likes this one a lot, because It was about Jenna! I like her because she is so mischievous!I've always wanted to play a lot of pranks like Jenna, but 1, I can never think of any good ones, and 2, I would get caught! So I am fine reading about it for now. I'd give it 4 and a half stars if I could.

This was actually a very boring book, I liked better the first book only. It took me more than 2 months to finish, not because I am a slow reader but becasue of the boring plot. This was very boring to read
