Welcome to the dark possibilities and dangerous desires of the Majique. Each of the haunting stories in Dark Worlds connect to Rob Shepherd’s Majique Mythos.

Dark Worlds is 6 tales in the Lovecraftian tradition of the dark unseen that moves in the space between want and obsession, that which drives people to the uncharacteristic unspeakable, that which renders regret hopeless. These are dark and haunting stories that move your emotions and fill you with dread.

While all connected, literally and figuratively part of one book, these impactful tales are all different from one another. Each has unique, compelling characters and storylines. Their commonality is only the Majique and that which is part of it. Shepherd even uses a varying style with each story. The effect is an artistically delightful counterpoint to the horrors therein.

While Dark Worlds has a healthy helping of shock factor and gruesomeness, there is no graphic horror or extreme horror here. These are in the vein of Lovecraft and Poe; horrific, intelligent, poetic; the dark heart of man meets the darkness beyond. Rob Shepherd’s eloquence with horror never fails to impress!

As a personal side note… Isn’t that cover art just infrikkencredible?

The Intro is detailed and thought out with precision and a twisted eloquence.
Majique- An immortal terror
Bang Bang- Descriptive guilt of self-torture
Faolan- Teaching the lesson to do not try to take what is not yours, the hard way
Faceless- Be careful what you want to know for knowledge comes with a price
Body of Evidence - Perfection. "Releasing the perfect body of its' fleshy prison". Love it! A sick twist makes one smile
The Book of Quinn- Sometimes the thing you want most to possess, possess you.

This horror stories are based on the emotional state of characters. As always, the author present details and construction of events where the story started. The main horror is not blood and murder, more consequences of acts. A husband killed wife or a friend killed best friend, what happens after? A recommended read.
