Better and better

I read the five books as one book which meant that I found there to be a huge difference in how they where written. Overall it is a nice read, I cannot but be drawn into the guys lives. The story isn’t too original, but that doesn’t matter. It has some unexpected turns too. I found, especially the first book, be shallow and almost unfinished in its style. Like it was written by someone inexperienced as a writer. The books became better and better as they kept coming though an the last ones have a much deeper story. All in all well worth reading.

Nice story

I was a swimmer - so right off the bat, I identified with the main jock character. I also ended up being a swim coach, just like Alex. As a swimmer and coach, I thought the swim scenes could have been a little more realistic. But I could identify with the feelings Alex went through and struggled with. Also, each chapter ended with drama, but then I could hardly wait to start the next chapter to find out what happened to the boys and their friends. Fun read for me.

As a whole, these books are so so so so so bad! I loved the first two and was hooked on every word but come three everything went downhill with all the tropes of gay lives. I hated how each character seemed to be in it for themselves and the main two didn’t even feel to have a good connection and most of the time they honestly seemed to not even truly love each other. It was a horrible read and I guarantee I will never EVER pick these up again

Brilliant

Loved this box set, the author touched on a very difficult sensitive subject that many young men find themselves in when they are conflicted when and how is the right time to come out. Reading these books a lot of thought and research (and possibly personal) subjects were touched on throughout the books. Definitely worth reading.

Child-like Writing

I could not finish this group of books. The story had potential, but the writing is dreadful. It's as if the author is very young and t hgt eir writing lacks style and the narrative is choppy and poorly expressed.

Excellent M/M romance!

This whole series touched my soul. It reminded me so much of my own life as I was closeted throughout high school, but had no one to talk to about it. These boys were so lucky to have found each other when they were so young!!

I enjoyed reading infinitely! All the books are read on a single breathe. These books have the strongest 5 star I've ever voted. Actually speaking, these books are first ones that I started to reread again at once after finishing reading it for the first time. There is so much to ponder over, to regret and to smile for the characters! Definitely, Jay Argent is my favorite writer in 21 century!
