Eleven years ago, I made a pact with my best friend: If we were still single at 35, we’d get married and have a baby!
Brad was funny, cocky and insanely s*xy. Hanging out on the beach on Coney was always a blast. His body was ripped and tanned, and I yearned to have his lips on mine, to be his, to be more than friends. But I could only dream. Because he was my secret love. And I was just his goofy buddy.
On our last night together before he moved to LA, something was different. We’d had too much to drink. The heat between us too intense to ignore. It was my dream come true and I was so in love. I gave him my V-card. And he left me with his promise: a marriage pact.
He couldn’t have been serious, right? I don’t know why I’m still thinking about it. It was so many years ago and we haven’t spoken since.
But you know what’s really got my stomach in a knot? <
Today’s my 35th birthday - and I’ve got a missed call… from Brad.
The Marriage Pact is a stand-alone novel of 80000 words. Spring is in the air so you’ll definitely fall in love with this hot-as-hell alpha and his HEA. I’ve also included some bonus novels for your enjoyment.
As the ARC reviewers SO carefully decided to avoid the topic, can we discuss how many women he slept with vs how many men she slept with? She clearly gave him her v-card and he never bothered to maintain a normal friendship with her, would you like to talk about that?
Oh my gosh. I understand this was a kindle unlimited book, but it was riddled with misspellings. It was so bad I'd have to stop and reread a sentence two or three times to get what they were meaning. I enjoyed the story and the concept but can one man be this stupid? Plus, the formatting of this book made it have a paragraph a page with tons of empty space, so no wonder it was so long. Disappointed by everything that took away from the story, because it could have been a lot better.
I would have to rate this book a 2.5 out of 5 star rating. It just was not for me. simply because Mia the female main character was too stubborn and Brad the male main character did not want to admit his feelings by saying 3 simple words which were I Love You. They maintained this charade throughout the entire book until the last couple chapters, which I did not like at all. I do not recommend this book at all.
A second chance book that brings two friends back together with a marriage pact that they talked about eleven years prior. Brent and Mia went their separate ways after their one night of bliss. Now Brent is back only to get Mia for the marriage pact. But Mia isn't too big on it. She doesn't want to get hurt again and Brent is able to do that to her.
This is a beautifully written story that I loved reading. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.
Yeah, sorry. Life is just too short to waste time on things that just don't work for me. I hate to give up on a book, but moving this one to the graveyard. On to the next one...
would put money on it that i did in fact review this book ... where i get frustrated at a book reviewer ... reviewing takes time and when they disappear that is so frustrating ... it takes time to do this over and over ... i appreciate both sides of reviews but when internet places get rid of your reviews ... where do they go??! any who ... to the point ... this is such a great read ... great idea for a book ... the chemistry the love ... lust it is there. a childhood bond ... so sweet. must read. ( :
Tia loved it form start to finish, Brad and Mia was beautiful writing, There chemistry was off the hook plus they had a connection and bond that goes back to when they were kids that cant be broken. A must read,I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy
Oh my goodness.. This book had all the feels, I really enjoyed it.. I had a hard time putting this book down.. One of the best second chance romance's that I have read in a long time.
I only read the first book so thats all I'll comment on. It was ok. Mia is one of the most irritating female leads ever. I found her to be childish and immature. I'm being kind by giving this book 2 stars, and thats mainly due to the smut. Its not well written and whoever edited it, needs to do a better job in the future.
I loathed this story. The "hero" is a dolt who talks about women with contempt, couldn't see the inevitability of the two sides of his behaviors becoming plain for all to see, and utterly failed to protect his supposed true love when push came to shove. Twit...
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This was such an enjoyable friends to lovers read. Brad and Mia have been best friends for a long time and neither has ever told the other that their feelings run deeper than friendship. They were both there for the other when they dated others and needed someone to talk to. When they are 24 the eve before Brad is to leave for a job opportunity that will send him across county the two end up sleeping with one another. Both agree that what happened will not change their friendship and that if they are still single when they are 35 they will marry one another and have a family. Eleven years later Brad feels his life is missing something and still thinks of Mia. He calls her up and says he is going to come home to visit her. Mia is not sure she wants to see him. She feels he did turn what happened years ago seem weird and he stopped keeping in touch even though he said he would stay in touch. Brad brings up the pact they made and says he wants to marry her. The story picks up from there with Brad trying to prove to Mia that they could be great together. Mia wants Brad to marry her because he loves her not because of some pact. The two still have smoking hot chemistry. Brad doesn't seem to realize why Mia keeps pulling back. The way he tries to win her over is quite entertaining. He just assumes Mia knows he loves her. Mia does love him but wonders if Brad loves her the same. This was a very entertaining read and I loved reading about all that they went through to get their HEA.
Brad and Mia were the best of friends for years and finally made a pact that if they weren't married to anyone by the time they turned 35 that they would marry each other and have a family. Brad gets a job on the far side of the country ands the night before he takes/she offers her virginity to him. They both really love each other but he's a bit too immature still and she is afraid that he might reject her so they both do not declare they love. The next day he leaves and doesn't keep in touch with her! Eleven years later and it's his 35th birthday and he's coming for Mia as he realises he loves her still, misses her and is missing a family in his life. So he turns up at Mia's door and reminds her of their pact! Can she trust him not to just go off again?? Will she want to marry him just because of their promise? Surely Mia wants romance and to know that he loves her the way she loves him?? To find out you need to get yourself a copy of this book and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did. Tia Siren is one of my favourite authors and is a top 100 author for some very good reason: she creates terrific storylines, composes fabulous characters and not just the H/h but also the supporting characters. The banter between Brad and Mia is witty and fun to read. This story kept me entertained form first to last page and it is one story that I will be reading again as it is so good!I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.
This is one entertaining romance story about Mia and Brad, best friends. They have been best friends for a long time and never gave into their feelings for one another, afraid to cross that line and loss what they had as friends! On their last night together before Brad leaves for LA to start his career they give into their needs for one another with a promise to not act weird or forget about their friend. Brad comes up with a marriage pact that at 35 if they are both still single they will marry and have lots of kids. Their friendship is off and weird from the beginning and 11 years go by without a word before Brad reaches out to Mia, he is now 35. Brad realizes he is lonely and wanting a life like his coworker, Tina has, a husband and kids. Mia is very shocked and guarded about this pact that is now between strangers and walks through them getting to know one another very carefully! Mia also has the need to have a family but she is standing her ground that she’ll have Love over an agreement made when she was a young person. Can Brad show Mia what is really been between them from all those years ago as friends even though he was young and dumb about losing contact with her? Will Brad’s persistence get Mia to see what’s right I front of her? Will Mia let her fear control her decisions? With an unexpected secret can it bring them together or will it cause one of them to walk away forever? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
There are 2 names for this book: The Marriage Plan (here) and The Marriage Pact (on Amz) ------------------------ Brad Jones and Mia Hunter have been friends since High School. While all the other friends were gone, the two continued their friendship. In fact, one was in love with the other, but none of them had the courage to talk about it, afraid of friendship ending. Until Brad received an offer of work to another town. The two friends would stop seeing each other. On the farewell night, after drinking too much, Mia dares to ask him why he never wanted to have something more with her. They both have sex, with a promise that friendship would not be shaken. Brad proposes a pact if at the age of 35, if both were still single, they would marry one another. Their friendship would keep the same
What a lie!! Eleven years have passed. Brad focused on his career and let time pass without contacting Mia. She, hurt with him, did not look for him either. On his 35th birthday, Brad takes courage and phones Mia. They come into contact again, at first carefully, but soon the old feeling comes to the surface. But now both were well on their careers, in different cities. Which one would give in for a great love? 3 stars
Brad and Mia had been best friends for six years, spending their last evening together before Brad moved to LA, promising to stay in touch, when Brad suggested and Mia agreed,to a marriage pact. that if they were both still single at age 35, they would marry each other. Eleven years later, though they didn't stay in touch, Brad is celebrating his birthday and is ready to make good on the marriage pact. He googles Mia and calls her at her job and leaves a voice mail. The next morning, her PA tels her she has a 'personal' message on her voice mail. That night she returns his call telling him he's crazy to asume that after 11 years of no contact she would be interested in marriage. But Brad is not put off and manages to get some time off his radio show to surprise visit Mia at the fashion magazine where she works. She is shocked when she comes to the reception area to see Brad there and even more shocked when her boss happens by and gives her time off, too. She is not believing when Brad does not have a hotel room, but plans to stay with her. Even though he plans to sleep in her bed, he goes home with no agreement with Mia. Will they be able to come to an agreement? Will either relocate? Another good book by Tia!
Brad and Mia made a marriage pact the last night they were together before Brad left for a new job out of state. They had one night and he disappeared on her the next day. Eleven years later its the time for the pact to come into play and Brad looks Mia up. Mia isn't happy to hear from him after years of silence and let's him have it. But Brad isn't letting that keep from his plans to see her and talk about their pact. Slipping into town without her knowing was his only way of guaranteeing that she wouldn't run away. Sparks fly between them and the years melt away. Brad makes it he mission to show Mia that they are meant to be with each other but can Mia forget how he left her in the past?
This was a great story about two best friends having a second chance at love. The chemistry between Brad and Mia sizzled with each turn of the page. Once I started I couldn't put it down. This is a very entertaining and well written story. I would recommend it to anyone that loves to lose themselves in a great love story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. I enjoyed it so much I bought my own copy.
When best friends Mia and Brad go promising a drunken pact with each other of wedded bliss if they're not both married by the age of 35, in the emotional turmoil that comes with alcohols loose tongue, and throes of passion playing games with their hearts, the idea of it happening seemed far-fetched. Or is it? Brad may have burned her by moving away, and not keeping up with the promises he made- but he has made it his mission 11 years later to make up for lost time! He's got a challenge ahead of him. This unique, heartfelt, sweet story was a tantalizing breath of fresh air in the romance world! Strong characters, and a healthy display of these mid 30's adults growing into themselves while learning a thing or two about love and trust, while having some hotness in overdrive times along the way. A did not see that coming kind of fast-paced, with plenty of drama, infuriating relationship bumps in the road kind of heartbreak to heart mend tale. The sexy couple's journey made for a fabulously enjoyable break from reality! 4.5 Stars!
This is a really good book. Brad and Mia were best friends and secretly both in love with the other. 11 years ago Brad got a job in California as a DJ. The night before he left Brad and Mia were spending his last night in town talking. They made a pact they would marry each other at the age of 35 if they were both still single. Mia made Brad promise that they would still talk and visit with each other. As the night got later they ended up in bed together. Brad left before Mia woke up because he knew if he woke up with her he wouldn't want to leave her. They texted each of a few times than time just seemed to slip by. Now 11 years later Brad has been depressed feeling like he wants more. It's his 35th birthday and he's getting more down and unhappy. That's when he starts thinking about Mia again. Out of the blue he decides to call her and tells her he's calling in on their pact. You must read this book to find out what happens. Their banter and texts will have you laughing. I loved their chemistry. I recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Tia has written another exciting read. Brad and Mia's story had me hooked from the beginning. There are times throughout the book that I wanted to knock some sense into them. Brad and Mia were best friends and loved each other, but never had the courage to tell the other how they felt. On Brad's last night they make a pact to get married if neither were with someone when they were thirty-five. They also cross the line of being just friends for one night. During that night Brad leaves and even though he promises to keep in touch that all fails. When he turns thirty five, he remembers the pact and calls up Mia. She can't believe he is serious about marrying her. He comes to New York to try and convince her to uphold the pact. He still loves her and she loves him, but he will have to work to prove they should marry. They have undeniable chemistry and they still have a strong connection, but Brad is going to have his work cut out for him. This will have you laughing at how dense these two can be. It is a great book and I recommend reading it, you won't be sorry.
****I voluntarily read this arc to give an honest review****Tia has written a humorous, sexy and beautiful love story! Brad and Mia, two twenty-four year olds, have always been best friends while dating other people. But unknown to Mia, Brad was deeply in love with her. And unknown to Brad, Mia was in love with him! As Brad came to spend the last night together with Mia, she asks why he’s never hit on her and because they had been drinking heavily, she enticed him to make love to her. He doesn’t want to hurt her feelings by discussing where they were going after this and a long distance romance wouldn’t work and ruin their friendship, so he slips away without saying goodbye! He moved to LA leaving her in NY breaking her heart! Before they had sex he made her promise that if by their 35th birthday they weren’t married to someone else, that they would marry each other! Facing his 35th birthday, Brad regrets not staying in contact with Mia and wants her to marry him! But he has NEVER told her that he is in love with her! A great read with a HEA ending!
I received this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review.
Heck I do adore Tia's 2nd chance HEA love stories. Here in The Marriage Pack we see that after 11 yrs of being out of contact radio host Brad who moved to L.A. to have his own radio show, whilst his best mate & the girl he secretly loved Mia, who stayed in New York to get her dream job as a fashion journalist. Though just before he left they both decided to have this 1 night together, but they both didn't know how to carry on their friendship far apart. Well that was until it came to his 35th birthday, when he remembered the pact'ed he gave her. So what did he go & do?? He turns up practically demanding her to marry him & have his kids without talking about it or their true feelings about each other. So here we see that they both still love each other but are a bit scared to tell each other, well Brad's more insightful not realising that Mia doesn't/can't see that he's in love with her. So here we see some frustrating & humorous times between the 2 of them. Great read, couldn't put it down 😘
This was a very good love story of best friends turned to lovers. I conn cited to the characters well. I have read other books by this author and liked them too. Overview. Mia and Brad were best friends for years but they never dated. Brad is taking a job in LA to fallow his dream. But this means leaving his best friend and someone he has always wanted to date. Mia is heart broken that Brad is leaving so they spend the night eating food and drinking. Until they both reveal that they have feeling for each other. They decide to sleep together and make a pack that if neither finds love by 35 they will get married. Well Brad turns 35 and decides to finally call Mia and work something out. But Mia wants nothing to do with him since he broke her heart. Brad has to find a way and decides to just show up in New York and force her to see him and work something out. Love starts to grow between both of them but both have a hard time telling each other knowing they both live along way from each other. But love will find a way.
While a steamy book, it fell short in other areas. Specifically the last chapter or two which sped through everything you were waiting to see happen in the HEA. I actually went back a few pages to see if I skipped something since the story no longer made sense or flowed the way it should. There were also SO many errors in the last bits and it was almost like someone else was writing or editing the pieces to smoosh it all together to be finished. I wish I hadn’t invested the time to read it since the end just fell flat.
Brad wasn’t clear in his intentions and Mia was very stubborn and hot then cold. The secondary characters (what ones there were) were also weaker and pushing the heroine to do things she didn’t really want to do and/or didn’t think she did. Lots of miscommunication between the couple since they just wanted the sex. The way they pursued one another was very unrealistic. Who buys a house and moved cross country without actually talking to one another or telling their true feelings? The story had potential but didn’t quite work.

Customer Review 5.0 out of 5 starsFriends and Lovers Forever. Bysewsummoreon 11 April 2018 Format: Kindle Edition Brad and Mia had been friends long before they were ever lovers until, the night he said goodbye before moving across the county. After a few too many farewell drinks they admitted they were attracted to each other and made a pact to stay friends forever and marry if they were both free when they turned thirty-five. Fast forward ten years to Brad's birthday, lonely and sick of the single scene he decides to ask Mia to marry him. This was an amusing read as Brad does his best to convince Mia that they should wed, but Mia had her heart broken when Brad left the first time and is not ready to risk it again. Well thought out story line and excellent narrative make this a "feel good romance", one I envisage reading again sometime in the future. I received a free ARC copy of this book and have read and reviewed it honestly.
Two young adults, each madly in love with the other yet afraid to tell the other, make a somewhat juvenile pact that if neither is married by their 35th birthday they will get married, have children, and live an open marriage if necessary. This pact is agreed upon by these two young adults on the very eve of each one starting the career of their dreams, on opposite coasts. Flash forward more than a decade. The young man, living in Los Angeles has reached his “magic” birthday, has become a successful radio personality, and has just remembered The Pact. The young lady, is a highly respected fashion journalist living in New York, and is just months away from her 35th birthday. Does she remember The Pact? Will she? Will this become a long-distance relationship? If not, can they compromise and resolve the bi-coastal issue? A very interesting set of obstacles.
I liked the Marriage Pact although it was filled with a lot of miscommunications, assumptions, and not being forthcoming. Sometimes the need to reach through the book and smack a character upside the head was strong. On the upside, there is also some pretty hot sex scenes in the book. Mia and Brad made a pact when they were much younger that when they turned 35 and they were both unattached, they would get married. Well, Brad is holding Mia to it, even if he has to wear her down (and make her not want to keep her hands off of him lol). I'm glad that the author did give you a look into their relationship way back when and showed how they truly were best friends.
It would be interesting if the author writes a book about Brad's friend Jaxson (unless she already has, hmmm....going to have to look into that).
There are bonus stories in the book I purchased. I have only read The Marriage Pact so far.
I found this funny and sweet romance to be very enjoyable. A cute story about Brad and Mia. They were longtime friends that gave into their attraction when they knew they were headed their separate ways. Before saying goodbye they agreed not to let this cause things to get weird between them and if they were still single when they were thirty-five they'd get married and have twenty kids together. Of course things got weird and the contact between them dwindled. Now, Brad's turned thirty-five and out of the blue he contacts Mia. Are they really going to keep a promise made so many years ago? Can they build on what they had all those years ago? Is it too late for these two to find a HEA together? I recommend you read this entertaining book to find out. I'm posting a completely honest, voluntary review after reading this book.
The Marriage Pact is a sweet and frustrating story of BFF’s turned lovers. Brad and Mia have been BFF’s for quite awhile when they decide to cross the line of friendship to lovers the night before he leaves to make his career dreams come true. They make a pact to marry each other if they’re single when they’re 35. (Obviously, they didn’t promise to be celibate since the plan was IF they were both single by then). It’s not a foreign concept but more so, it’s not a common one either. None the less, people change and these two have to navigate their new feelings and wants in life. It was frustrating at times with these two. Knowing how perfect for each other they are but having to go through heir journey with them was sexy and sweet and funny! I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
Mia and Brad loved each other but didn’t cross the BFF’s line til they’re 24. She gave him her v-card. He left and they lost contact. 11 years later, Brad felt lonely despite his success as a dj. He wanted to pursue the idea of marrying Mia. So he went to see her and they had sex. Mia was conflicted anf felt they just can’t get married when they have become strangers now. Brad foolishly assume she felt the same way as him and sometimes annoyingly hurt her unintentionally. Mia got pregnant but kept it a secret from Brad. Luckily brad has friends who kinfly adviced him on how to act on his feelings towards Mia. Brad went to NY following her on business trip and surprised her. He found out she was pregnant and they made love. They got hitched at Vegas and she gave birth to their twin daughters.

Tia is one of my favorite authors and always delivers an interesting and captivating story. “The Marriage Pact” involves Brad and Mia who have been best friends since forever. They are both attracted to each other but are afraid to say anything that might ruin their friendship. Before Brad leaves town for a job they make a pact that if they are both single at thirty-five they promise to marry each other. They lose touch and Mia never hears from Brad until eleven years later. Guess who's calling on Mia's thirty-fifth birthday? Will they keep their promise? “The Marriage Pact” is extremely entertaining, intense, fun, steamy and yes so romantic. Amazing plot! Fantastic characters! A definite must read!
