Fagin Mars, alpha-heir of his father's pack, had two possible life paths. On the one hand, he could do what his father demanded; mate with a female wolf shifter and take over the pack or...something else entirely. Fagin was opting for option two. After a terse exchange with his father, Fagin gets permission to go on a road trip for thirty days. He wants to find his true mate. It shouldn't be that hard, should it?
Cooper Samuels stayed well away from wolf packs. As an omega, he knew the terrors he'd have to face if he ever got caught in pack territory. Which is why he worked for a human accounting services firm and never told anyone about the furry side of his nature. That was, until he went to meet a prospective new client as a biker bar called Fagin's Folly. He should've known his life was going to change the moment someone barrelled into him and knocked him over.
But just because the Fates stepped in and put these two men on the same path, didn't mean the journey was going to be easy. Things aren't all as they seem in Fagin's home pack and things turn nasty after a night on the town. Kidnappings, challenges and the archaic notions many shifters believed about omega wolves was enough for Fagin to consider handcuffs and not the kinky kind. Will Fagin have to give up his mate so soon after finding him, just to ensure his mate's safety?
Like all of the books in the Alpha and Omega series, this can be read as a standalone and has no connections to the others in this series. Contains some violence, an Omega who quickly finds his backbone and an Alpha wolf who realizes love is worth any sacrifice. M/M, HEA, No cliffhangers.

Ugh! Fagin is an asshole and just a terrible alpha. First scene in the book he’s fucking a pack female whom he’s fucked numerous times all the while knowing she’s not his mate and his mate is a male. Granted he’s in the closet but do I really need to read a mf sex scene to prove this? Just the whole setup was awful. Then, he leaves his CLAIMED mate sitting alone and gets drunk and grabs the same woman’s boob in front of his mate. I’m sorry, but I hate mate stories like that. And does he grovel? No and his weak mate forgives him. Drugged or not, the whole thing is stupid.
Warning - M/F sex scene. There was no relationship development even for a fated mates trope. Fagin was an unlikable character. He continued to make major mistakes throughout the book and totally failed to redeem himself.
Alpha Fagin was a closeted bisexual manwhore who leaned more to the gay side. He was proud of his promiscuity. He was self centered and insensitive. Fagin was unable to communicate with Omega Cooper and had to use his friend Butch as a crutch. He wasn't able to offer much emotional support and used his money, the mating bite, and buying a house as reassurances for Cooper. Fagin missed several opportunities to protect Cooper from dangerous situations too. For all of Fagin's sexual experience, he was a bad lover. The sex was lack luster. Abused Omega Cooper was a independent survivor but still struggled with low self esteem. In comparison to Fagin, he was actually a stronger and more intelligent character. Cooper deserved a much better mate who could truly cherish, adore, and protect him.
Rating: 4 stars This was a really good addition to the Alpha/Omega series and can be read completely as a stand-alone story. I absolutely loved Cooper. He went through so much and still managed to keep his spunky character. I liked Fagin too, but my goodness he was clueless sometimes and some of actions were pretty unlikeable.
The overall story was good. It mainly deals with pack conflicts and Fagin’s dad wanting him to mate a female pack member and sire kids with her. Even though, that premise has been done to death, I still found the story enjoyable. If you are a fan of Lisa Oliver or just like a good shifter tale, I think you will like this story. Also, no m-preg for those who hate that sort of thing.
3.5 Stars This is one of those series that I keep reading even though they're just ok. I enjoy the story well enough, but they are not deep by any means and the plot points tend to repeat. But somehow I still want to read the series. Maybe because they are all still standalones really it keeps it easier to come back to the series when time has passed. And well they're a fast quick HEA so work for the good feelings when you need them.
Fagin has known he was gay pretty much all his life, but that was never going to fly in his father's pack. He was the alpha's heir and as such we was going to have to have pups for the pack. As his father's demands that he take a mate have reached a tipping point, Fagin's determined that now was the time to get out. Of course he didn't plan on his male omega mate walking in the door of his bar right as he was attempting to leave town. Cooper has been on the run for years really. After his mother died his father had no need for an omega son and made it abundantly clear where in the pack his worthless ass belonged. But he's finally created a life for himself away from shifters and loves his job as an accountant. A new alpha, mate or not, isn't going to take all of that away from them.
I actually liked Cooper a lot. He was very capable in his own right and as he figured out that not all alpha's were like his father he demanded a little more and a little more for himself. The problems in this story were always going to come from Fagin's pack and there weren't too many surprises there. Having the two other wolves leave with them and the situation that happened there was a little unexpected, but also felt kind of pointless in the end. But I like where this story got to. I like the idea of Cooper and Fagin and the future they should have together.
I was a bit worried when this one started and it was totally different characters I’ve never met, but it was wonderful. I adored Cooper, he was such a sweetheart but at times a bit of a smartarse. I felt for Fagin with his family issues, but enjoyed his friendship with Buster. I would love to read more about Buster and his little mate.
This author loves the heterosexual/mostly-heterosexual turns suddenly gay conceit, and no matter how she tries to disguise it, that's what we have again in this book. The book literally starts with a main character engaging in heterosexual sex. Can you imagine if almost every MF romance started with gay sex, or the guy being in a homosexual relationship before 'switching' to women? Nobody would buy it, so stop buying it in MM, PLEASE!!
3 to 4 star book that gets heavily penalized for not only bisexual abundance and in my opinion problematic homophobia, but also literal straight sex. Check, please!
Another funny great read from one of my favorite authors.
It has an Alpha you want to smack upside his head, an Alpha Father you want to kill, and an Omega who knows how to survive alone and has and tells his Alpha so.
Fagin means well but he puts his foot in his mouth so much at first that I thought he was going to have trouble walking and talking. He has to learn to think before he acts/speaks and so does his second. But, once he gets himself sorted out he becomes a good mate and protector. He even has to face a challenge to protect his mate.
Cooper is sweet but very strong-willed. He has survived without a pack or Alpha for years and could do so for the rest of his life if he needed to. He makes Fagin work for their mating and I for one respect him for that. He also doesn’t let Fagin off when he messes up, he explains what Fagin did wrong and makes the Alpha see what needs to change.
As for Fagin’s original pack? Well, let’s just say they get what’s coming to them for how they treat Fagin and his mate and leave it at that…You’ll just have to read the story to see what I mean.
This book is part of a series but definitely can be read as a standalone. Fagin is alpha heir of his pack but can't take the pack until he has pups and his father is pushing him to find a female to bond with. Fagin is gay and will not bond with anyone but a true mate. He finds his true mate when Cooper, an accountant, shows up to check on his books for tax time. It is not smooth sailing for this relationship as Cooper is very distrustful of alpha wolves, Fagin is not a really thoughtful mate and there is danger from Fagin's old pack with his father is pressuring Fagin to mate with a female and Cooper is kidnapped to get his son"a compliance. We do get a HEA ending with a lot of twists and turns. This is a great read as are all the books by this author. Get it!
I feared for Cooper in the beginning as he'd had an unpleasant childhood but he was strong enough to make a life for himself away from his unpleasant father and pack.
Fagin may have always known he wanted a male mate but it didn't stop him making a fool of himself once he met Cooper as he couldn't seem to open his mouth without putting his foot in it a few times but he eventually proved that he wasn't a dick!
There's enough deceit and crazy to interest you but I think Fagin's father and pack got off too lightly. I would have liked to have seen the demented Missy, the bond mate and her alpha father dealt with on page rather than off.
I would definitely recommend this to any Lisa/Lee Oliver fan!
I'm looking forward to her next release and would love to read about Buster if he talks to her loud enough! 😊
Mereka sih care tp itu belakangan setelah something bad happened first baru mereka caring, duh!
I enjoyed this story as I enjoy all of Lisa Oliver's books. Fagen and Cooper and even Buster can teach people about love, bonds, and friendship. I hate to hear that people pirate the work of the authors who work so hard by allowing us to escape for even a short time into the world of shifters. M/M books are my favorite for one simple reason, LOVE. I love reading about soul mates as I lost mine a year ago. He would laugh over my fascination with what he called my escape from reality. So with that read, buy this book, you won't be disappointed. It really is sweet. Thank you Lisa for your books.
As always your stories wrap you up till the end. Fagin is one of my favorite Alphas. He's strong but knows what he wants from the beginning and isn't ashamed to go after it or try to hide it. As always I fell in love with the people ,main and secondary characters alike. You are at the top of my automatic buy. Although I wait to read when I won't be interrupted. Once started must finish now! Just as an aside I wish poor Charlie would get a man or two of his own. He's the last of his group and has been waiting patiently for love.😘
There is just WAY too much that happened in this book to give a shortened blurb about it. So I'll just give my impressions of it.
Cooper is a super sweet Omega. Fagin is a strong Alpha who is content waiting for his true mate despite what his father is pressuring him to do. I adore them both and they make the sweetest couple. The book is in both of their POV. Fagin's best friend, Buster, is also a constant in the book. The angst is medium. Everytime I thought the story was ending I got hit with another surprise turn. A great book over all.
A good read but not much to it. Alpha meets true mate omega, insta-love, but alpha hasn't told Daddy that he is gay. Daddy wants son to have pups and take his place as pack leader. So of course true love doesn't run smooth. Unfortunately therefore we don't actually see much of Fagin and Cooper as a couple. Hopefully we will see more of them in the next book where I guess we get the story of Buster and his cat true mate.
Definitely recommend any of Lisa's books. The best of the paranormal books ever. I don't care for Alpha and Omega books that portray the omega as weak, simpering sissy waiting for an alpha to control them Lisa's characters aren't like that. Recommend this book to all who love paranormal mm.
I adore this authors books and was so happy when this one was released. This is book six in this Alpha and Omega series and for me the books keep getting better.
The story centres around Alpha Fagin and Omega Cooper who meet and realise that they are true mates but things aren't that simple.
This is a great series. Because the books aren't related to the others in the series (except the .5 books) you never know what to expect and that's my favourite part about these books. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance with a lot of little twists that keep you on your toes.
Just wish it had been like other omega stories I've read and when the fated mates got together the omega could become pregnant. It was terrible what Cooper went through, and Fagins father doing the things he did. I'm glad they all finally found a place they belonged and were happy.
Just as Gavin is preparing to leave he runs into his fated mate. Even though he has always known his mate would be a male he still has some size to work through about being out in public. There are we deal obstacles this couple has to overcome on their way to their happily ever after.
Another amazing book by Lisa Oliver. Her shifter stories (in my humble opinion) are the best on the market. She never fails to produce the good and this book is no exception! A must read!
Awesome storyline with a well deserved five stars. It is always nice to get lost within the pages of a good book and I highly recommend this book along with other books written by Lisa Oliver. I honestly could not put this book down.
I just love Fagan and Cooper. To battle their way through the adversity they faced, to finally have their HEA, and seeing the love they have for each other, simply amazing.
This is a sweet story about Cooper, an abused omega, and Fagin, an Alpha’s son. Of course it’s another great story by Lisa Oliver! It’s an enjoyable read about Fagin’s difficulties with his father and his pack and sweet abused Cooper. Totally enjoyable!
Absolutely loved the characters in this book, she just brings them to life for the reader.I've read almost every book she's written and i haven't been disappointed yet. Keep writing so I can keep reading.😁
This was a wonderful book. It takes place in a bar and ends up in a bar with the shifters mated. I loved it. Thank you Lisa for another shifter tale ☺. And remember I will keep buying it you keep writing.
The Queen of Shifter Romance has struck a home run yet again. A beautiful balance of romance, angst and some steamy sex. I could see a smaller version of the Cloverleah pack in this tale. Thank you Lisa for another great read.
Fagin's Folly is another true shifter romance...I loved Cooper...He was a great character for Fagin.....The only thing I would have done was make it longer ... Because I wanted more alone time with this story
I really like this series. The characters are developed nicely. The troubles they face are real life problems. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I’m hoping it’s Buster and Wayne’s.
There story is totally crazy; Parent's on both sides treated their son's very wrong. They followed the rules went to the Council for help. Fagins second found his mate after they moved away.
