Everyone was convinced that Barbara Nadel committed suicide when Ollie and Augustine stumbles over her skeleton when they were scouting out storage space for the Medlin Creek Animal Shelter. There was even a suicide note, signed "Barbara Nadel" but somehow, Ollie's gut feeling was that this was not the case. Although she had a lot more to worry about, like the re-opening of her oil well, the lack of bookings for her event centre and her pile of student assignments that needed grading, Ollie could not help but feel that something was amiss. Like a dog worrying a bone, Ollie cannot seem to leave it alone, but she soon wishes that she did, when the killer decides it is time to cover their tracks.

Another great read from N C Lewis. I always enjoy Ollie Stratford, the way she thinks around the problems and how she methodically puts the puzzle together. Millie the reporter makes me smile and I wonder when the gravy train will come in for her. Looking forward to the next instalment in Dr Stratford's life!

Murder follows Ollie, or maybe it's the other way around.

Ollie is on hand when a body is found in some old storage units. Even with no clues and very little information about the deceased, Ollie is caught up in solving the case. Each book in this series just keeps getting better and better.

Another great installment with Ollie trying to survive the move and open both the event center with bookings as well as the oil well. I enjoy reading about the characters - Mille, Roger, the barista who hears all.....
