Nightbird is book 3 and the final book in this phenomenal dark romance trilogy. What makes this an absolutely amazing final book is the characters, the story and just the relationship between Kain and Ophelia . Their story is one that is chock full of angst, pain, heat, betrayal, beauty, steam and " dolly" goodness that makes this story just full of that dark, delicious mafia, romance that keeps the readers craving more. I dont want to give too much away -- will Kain and his "dolly" Ophelia get their HEA or will tragedy get in the way ? Only way to find out is read this fabulous dark and deliciously sexy romance.
I do suggest that you make sure to read the prequel and books 1 and 2 before reading this book.

I've been waiting for this book from sometime now that once I was able to grab it I just wanted to read non stop.
Fawn Bailey is the best. Her books are darker and way more intense than the ones I've been reading but I wouldn't change a thing. Each book made me shake, scream, curse... You name it.
Nightbird keeps telling us the stories of Kain and Ophelia. But you must read the other books in order because this is not a standalone. You must read it from the beginning...
I knew that this story would be the death of me and I was so right... I had loved the first books and this one just nailed it.
Amazing plot, super engaging, surrounded by darkness and punishment.
Each chapter were created to give you the chills but also to give you some warmth and desire.
How can someone be so broken? How can you thrive on hurting others and keep living your life?
I'm speechless and overwhelmed with everything that happened.
How can I say goodbye to these two? I really can't and I hope I can have news from them with the next series that this amazing author is creating.

This series was so much better than the Rose and Thorn series. At times, the former had me rolling my eyes but not with this one. The addition of the mafia - Italian and Russian and all the double crossing gave the story something extra that was missing from the first one trilogy I read by this author. I was generally interested in seeing who was zooming who and very much on the antihero's side. Loved how it all wrapped up - an enjoyable read.

What a perfectly dark twisted captivating conclusion to the Gilded Cage Series. This book kept me captivated and so sad that this is the end yet fulfilled. It is another dark tale that had an element of beautiful romance.

This was a fantastic book.I loved getting to see Kain and Dolly relationship evolve. It also answered alot of questions and I set made me have more. I could not put this one down. A definite must read! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book from the author. I cant wait to see what she has coming up next for us!

I cannot praise this one enough: loved, loved, LOVED it! Considering how Kain obtained Ophelia (Dolly), & what he did to her & her family you wouldn't think he'd be sympathetic or the Hero or you'd be rooting for him & his Dolly to have a HEA, & yet the author (IMO) did all three hands down.
No matter what he does or how things go, Kain ultimately loves his Dolly & wants to protect & care for her. And he's got a new & evil challenge in this conclusion to keep & save Dolly.
And Dolly is trying, in her own way, to protect & save the man she loves with every molecule of her heart & soul, mind & body.
Dark-- yes. Frightening-- yes. SEXY STEAM-- yes. A totally & completely engaging story that grips you by the throat (no pun intended) & doesn't let you go until the end-- HELL YES!
The author has written a superb story throughout all 3 books, but sometimes a conclusion can seem *less* than the build up, but again, not this time. I found myself 100% engaged throughout the entire book, terrified for Dolly, for Kain, for other important secondary characters & except for bathroom breaks & meals I powered through the book ANXIOUS to discover how everything ends & what resolution the characters obtain. I cannot state enough just how much I actively enjoyed this book & see myself rereading the entire trilogy multiple times. I felt the writing was stellar (because it swamped my emotions, up, down & all around), smooth, exciting, excellent character development, excellent tension & suspense.
The story has violence, abuse, BDSM sex, as well as total power exchange.
If I could use only one word to review: AWESOME!!!

n this conclusion of Fawn Bailey’s Gilded Cage series, we see where Ophelia and Kain are so close to their happily ever after; just when they’re ready to put their past behind them they find out that forces are moving against their HEA & people they thought were dead are not actually deceased. Kain will stop at nothing to make sure he gets to keep his dolly and the lengths he will go to in order to make sure she is happiest with him show a different side of him than the man who kidnapped Ophelia & then murdered her whole family.

Forty-eight hours ago I was stalking Fawn Bailey’s Amazon page trying to figure out how much longer I thought it would take Nightbird to be released. Imagine when the very next day I’m reading an arc of this book. From the violent beginning to Kain and Ophelia’s story throughout the series there’s a palpable desperation to this couple’s love story. Just when you get to the last paragraph of book two you are ready to release the breath you have been holding...and then you get to the last few words and you are once again thrust back into heart stopping anxiety...when does book three come out??????? Sliding my right index finger to page one on my kindle was both exciting and nerve wracking. This is not a pretty story....but it is everything else you could want in a book. I was almost tempted to read the last page first (I do that sometimes) but if any couple deserved a happy ending it’s Kain and Ophelia. But how they got there is like sitting in a car going through a scary fun house. I can’t recommend this this entire series enough...it electric, non conforming to light, puffy stupidity predictable romances that flood Amazon daily.

OMGGGGGGG😮 I absolutely loved it 😊 I don’t Know how to start a review for this book I have no words 😶 This is the final and last book of this series. It’s an amazing dark romance trilogy and what an absolutely beautiful final book of this. One of my favourite book ever!! Im so so in love with this series Nightbird is one of the best book. This is an wonderful book it has everything the characters, the story and the relationship between kain and Ophelia. when started reading this book I didn’t even believe that Kain and Ophelia would have ended up together And would love each other so deeply. I really loved watching the relationship between Kain and Ophelia grow throughout this series. I I just can’t wait to read more books from this author. She an amazing writer. I’m eagerly awaiting for more books like this..............Guys If you love dark, twisted romances books I’m sure you will love Nightbird series because this is the fabulously dark book series. The ending was just wow 😮 loved it so soo much!! I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves dark and twisted romances book. If I could give 100 stars for this book I would.....

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Wow, just wow! This series has had me reeling and not knowing where Kain and Ophelia would end up. Just when you thought it was all set-in stone, you are spun around and wondering what the hell just happened. These two have been through the ringer, Ophelia belongs to Kain in every way possible and she loves him, and he loves her, but is it enough? Their bond will be tested when a discovery is made, lies are spoken and secrets are kept, someone who was supposed to be dead is back among the living and wreaking havoc. I was sucked in and hooked until the end, their story is filled with emotions, suspense, danger and the love that Kain feels for Ophelia, she’s changed him, will his fears keep him from wanting the life he so deserves with the woman he loves? Can they survive the obstacles to prevail and have the future they both want and need? No spoilers here, this is a must read, I highly recommend this book, the whole series. I can’t wait to see what Fawn has up her sleeve next.

This isn't one of those series you can read out of order, so make sure you have read the first two before picking this one up. That being said, there isn't any reason why you wouldn't want to just buy all of them at once so you don't have to pause in your reading.
This isn't a feel good romance, nor is it a normal romance. Instead, what you are getting is an emotional, intense, dark, gritty, passionate, twisted tale from beginning to end. Reading it is like taking a plunge into a freezing pond and expecting a sauna. It will take your breath away and drag you to the bottom of your soul, then it will lift you up and wrap you in a warm blanket, that will then suffocate you. Yeah, that's exactly what it is, and it is perfect! The characters will grab a hold of you, the danger surrounding them will make your heart pound, and the heat of the passion between Ophelia and Kain will melt your kindle. The conclusion to their story will answer many questions, expose many secrets, and leave you with unquenchable joy. READ IT!

I devoured this book in one sitting! This was the perfect end to a perfect series! There were so many many places where I held my breath and couldn't believe the stuff I was reading, but I just couldn't stop!
Kain and his dolly are met with a TON of obstacles from both their pasts but their love was so palpable and raw and a little crazy. They wouldn't let anything stand in the way. Their love for each other leaves you in awe.
And that epilogue... Awww! Like a little cherry on the top!
Don't forget to read Feather, Wings and Flight before you dive into Nightbird. It's full of suspense and dirty hot sex!

Phenomenal Dark Romance!!!!

This series has continued to get better with every book and this one was absolutely breathtaking! I am an emotional puddle of a mess right now after finishing it. Ophelia and Kain have been through so much and go through even more trials. At times I just wanted to grab Ophelia and shake some sense into her but then I would understand exactly why she would do the things she did. Kain needed Ophelia as much as she needed him. Not just this book, but the entire series was dark and hauntingly beautiful in a way I never expected. I became so attached to the characters. The ending had me smiling from ear to ear and I can't possibly imagine a more fitting ending for this story.

Nightbird was the final book in the fantastic Gilded Cage series. I've loved watching the relationship between Kain and Ophelia grow throughout this series. I was a bit surprised with how things played out yet I loved all the twists and turns that kept me on my toes until the end. Kain would do whatever is necessary to keep his Dolly and though their journey was nearing its end that didn't mean it was all clear sailing. Full of suspense, angst, drama, unexpected turns, passion and all the feels Nightbird held me riveted until the very last page. I'll admit I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Kain and Ophelia but Nightbird was the perfect conclusion to their story. The epilogue had me grinning like a fool and was so much more than I expected though I wouldn't mind more glimpses of them in the future!

This is the third book in the series and it does not disappoint. I still am surprised at their relationship though. It seems brainwashing has turned to love yet I didn't find any doubts in him that she loved him. Their chemistry is apparent. The strange hold he has on her does seem real, but it doesn't seem like true love to me until the ending. He still seems obsessed with owning her throughout most of the book. I find hints of caring throughout as well but I cannot wrap my head around the fact that this is the person who killed her family, killed her fiancé, broke her and yet she loves him. I guess that makes this one heck of an author because I still found the book entertaining and was unable to put it down. I hope we see hints of their future in other books by the author now that Ryker has his own story. One can hope.

Shifting back 5 years to Slava's This birthday, just like Ophelia's, she too was announced to be engaged by their father at her fifth birthday. This time to a true monster....
With one last trial, one last hurdle, Kain must continue to prove that he can master Ophelia and to keep her remaining at her side. This one also highlights fertility issues which adds another layer towards the emotional read that this trilogy has been.
Do everything they have gone to some orphans and on, they finally find their HEA at the end. However, I really like the teasers that trail not only Thorn but Ryker into their own separate storylines.

This is book three in this series. It is the conclusion of Kain and Ophelia's dark and epic love story. You must read all the books and in order for complete understanding of the characters, knowledge of everything that has happened and to simply get every bit of enjoyment that you can from this mind blowing and heart melting series. Ophelia and Kain. What a journey it has been. Dark, hot, twisted, painful, sweet, haunting and passionate, this book and yes, this whole series pulls you in and sucks you under its spell. I fell totally in love with Kain and Ophelia while reading this series and I highly recommend it to all readers that enjoy, dark and steamy romances. This is my voluntary and truthful review.

A kick butt ending that will leave you spent and totally breathless from the first page to the last! A tsunami of emotions that will drag push pull and flip you up side down making you dizzy and displaced as to which direction you should be feeling because your spent and distraught till the end hits you with a gleaming smile on your face! Edgy, intense, wicked page turning twists, riveting suspense, adrenaline fueled, nail-biting danger, fierce, angst, enjoyable and searing intense chemistry! An amazing must read that will have your head spinning and your heartpounding as you feed off the words fully sated and satisfied when you finally reach the breathtaking end! I LOVED IT!

Just when you think that Kane and Ophelia can finally have the happy ever after they have worked so hard for their world is turned upside down as they realize what they believed to be true may not be true. Ophelia needs to find out the truth and she is willing to pay the price even if it means putting herself in danger however Kane is adamant that she let him handle it. Will she have the patience to leave it in his hands or will she take matters into her own hands which could have far reaching consequences for all?

Fabulously dark...
This fabulously dark series has taken me on more than one voyage of discovery.. there have been unexpected betrayals, evil truths and brutal realities and this final instalment has all of these and more..
I can’t remember ever reading a series before where up until almost the end I have been so conflicted about the characters and their choice of partners .. I have fallen in and out of love with more than one but, thankfully, the ending, when it comes, and the final coupling is perfect...
This is a beautifully crafted twisted love story, which kept me enthralled throughout.....I received a copy of this book from the author

Wow just wow what a fantastic ending to a wonderful dark romance series. Fawn just never let's you down in her writing she's always a one click arthur for me.
I'm so stunned with how thing's played out in this book, but I'm so damn glad Ophelia and Kain do get the happier ending after what they'd been put through or should I say what she'd been put through.
No spoilers but if you've been reading the Gilded Cage series you'll want to grab this book and find out what happens in it and prepare to be a lil bit shocked haha.
This definitely a must read the whole series is.

Kain accepts he is a ruined man; however, Ophelia continues to adore him as her Master and as her lover. Kain will do anything, including going up against Ophelia's father to protect Ophelia and to pursue rumors that Ophelia's little sister is still alive. Rumors also circulate that Ophelia's father also is alive; a body double was killed instead.
With Ophelia by his side, Kain works on becoming a changed man. Nightbird is a definite must read.
