Rebel Bear is book two in the Aloha Shifters: Pearls of Desire series by Anna Lowe. It can be read as a stand-alone.

I was pulled in from start to finish. It will make you laugh, shed some tears, and give you that feel good feeling inside. I adored this story in the Aloha Shifters. It’s fast-paced, emotional, hilarious, and passionate. You can’t help but be drawn into one of Anna Lowe’s books with her descriptions, beautiful story telling, and emotional moments.

The way Rebel Bear starts pulls you in and has you feeling for our heroine, Hailey. WOW what a mother and what a selfish ex-boyfriend or so he would be if he listened. I was prod of Hailey for learning to stand tall and stand up for herself. Her situation isn’t an easy one especially with shifters chasing her and a mother who’s a control freak to the max. Then we have Timber our lovable bear. He is so adorable, irresistible, and set on protecting his fated mate, Hailey.

The cast of characters featured in Rebel Bear are wonderful and easy to fall for and of course we are entertained with life-threading danger, suspense, humor, action and sizzling romance. The relationship between Timber and Hailey was one of sweet bliss and passionate love.

Rebel Bear hit all the right spots and I can’t wait for the next installment. I highly recommend any of Ms. Lowe's books.

This is absolutely the most spectacular book to read! It will make you laughed, then shed a few tears plus make you feel all squishy inside. Rebel Bear starts out in the best possible way!  With the irresistible bear shifter that's set on protecting his fated mate Hailey in the sunny and beautiful Maui! It's so hilarious, fast-paced, emotional, with sizzling passions, and a forbidden love, especially when Hailey becomes a surprise runaway bride as her mother and on again off again boyfriend starts trying to get her to agree to a surprise wedding in front of everyone. Timber Hoving is about to start his own business after a life in the Special Forces, he is slowly adjusting to island time on the enchanting island of Maui. That is until he and his bear has the chance meeting of eyes with supermodel Hailey Crewe and in that short moment, I knew that I was going to absolutely enjoy Timber. You can't help but to be drawn into Anna Lowe’s books, with her description and beautiful telling of a story. This full cast of characters are quite praise worthy not to mention so realistic and believable too. Of course there is suspense, life-threatening danger, humor, plenty of action and blazing hot sensuous intense romance scenes. It's so easy to be swept into this world that Anna Lowe has created of the Aloha Shifters. I absolutely enjoyed the magic of Rebel Bear, we get to visit with old characters as we read how Tim and Hailey's relationship unfolds. What a Phenomenal Read it's well-written, intriguing and so exciting. You can't help but to enjoy the way Anna Lowe develops her heroines and heroes. As in all of her books Hailey proves to be strong, intelligent and will fight by her mate. Tim is protective, devoted and he will do what it takes to care for his mate. And the tension between the two is slowly built to sizzling hot chemistry. I highly recommend this book and series to anyone who enjoys Paranormal Shifter Romance and enjoys a story with praise worthy and engaging main and secondary characters along with villains to hate and a strong love that gives this story so much enjoyment. I'm so anxious to read the next book in this series. ALOHA SHIFTERS: PEARLS OF DESIRE is a series of sizzling paranormal romance books with adult content but without cliff hangers. She's Got The Power....

Connor's brother Timber always laughed at all the drama going on with his brother and Jenna, but now he realizes the why. When he locks eyes at the food court with the runaway bride, a sixth sense tells him he must protect her at all costs, even if she's a thief running from authorities. But that's not it at all as he soon finds out. His bear just won't behave and he usually has good control of him, but not now, not when his mate is in trouble.

Hailey Crewe is tired of living the high life of a model, always in the limelight. Sure her mom struggled when she was a kid, they were dirt poor, but that has been long behind them and now she just wants peace and quiet in her life. Her mom and her soon to be ex-boyfriend have other plans for her though, but she'll have none of it and takes off in the middle of his proposal with all the press and guests as witnesses. She has her memories of her grandfather and she can hear him saying "run Hailey, run", so she does with her heart pounding and her pearl heating in her hand.

Can it be that she is descendant of Nanalani?

It was a really good read that hooked me right in and kept me interested.

I really fell for Tim right away. He is such a sweetheart. His devotion to his brothers and the other shifters that have become his family is so clear. Tim wants to do the right thing even when it
causes him pain. He is even willing to let Hailey go if that is her choice.

Hailey is a woman that you grow to respect more as the story continues. As you see her confront the people in her life that have made it so miserable and watch her learn to open her mind and her
heart to the idea that there are shifters, you get to see the real Hailey.

One of the things that I really enjoyed is the epilogue. Actually, I loved it. I thought it was the perfect finishing touch to their story.It left me feeling very happy and upbeat about the couple. It still leaves room and creates excitement about the next book.

The book is longer than some of the other ones. I liked that the author devoted so much time to developing the relationship between them. I loved the time they spent alone together working on fixing the home. It gave you a great opportunity to show what these characters were really like and how well they fit together. It really helps with Hailey, in particular, as it reveals her true character and not the one she has been pushed to be by others to meet their needs. She is a
simple Montana girl who has no problem getting dirty and doing the hard work needed.

There are several good villains to hate. Her ex is a real piece of work. His true motives for being with her are pretty disgusting as are his hired henchman who has no scruples.

Hailey's mother is an awful woman with no real redeeming features. She only has her own interests at heart and doesn't even pretend to really care that the model life is not what her daughter wants.

I love when I am able to get lost in a world of love like these stories by Ms. Lowe. In this series I get strong shifters both men and women who fight for what is right and good, as well as getting to visit beautiful Hawaiian Islands. a brotherhood of shifters who have bonded together. Three are brothers of a myrian shifter one who has the ability to become any animal but he sons each have one spirit animal Connor the leader has a dragon within, Tim has a bear within and Chase who has a wolf. Then there is Dell there bonded brother from their time in the military who has a lion. They came to be the security team for Koa point. They live on the neighboring property that needs much work and under the tutelage of Cynthia who has a dragon within they fix it up.

This is Tim's story he discovers Hailey his forever mate when she is on the run from Jonathan a rich oil magnate, her mother/manager who wants her way and lamar the head of Jonathan's security team. I am almost had the feeling of being on the edge of my feet as the story unfolded and Tim and Hailey fall in love as she carries one of the pearls of desire which her grandfather had gifted her.

I highly recommend this and i voluntarily chose to read an advance copy and have not been compensated in any way for this opinion. Don't take my word for it get lost in love yourself.

Ambushed bride runs to love. Great story of love with a series of action packed events. Tim the bear shifter goes into protection mode. Hailey runs from mom and the wedding of her nightmare. The shifter “family” from the first book make appearances and offer support. Mysterious events push the saga forward to draw you into their world. Loved how careful Tim is of Hailey and always so supportive.

"A Stunning Shifter Romance series"
This is an Incredible series. The characters personalities are awesome. This story kept me glued to it's pages. I love this series.
Tim is a sexy Bear shifter former Military special operations. He and his brothers have joined former team mates. To work at a security and bodyguard company. Tim also wants to start his own contractor business. So he goes with his brother to another island to get his license. There he meets his mate.
Hailey is a spunky supermodel. She is supposed to be on the island attending her boyfriends wedding. Only it is a trick! And she ends up running away from her boyfriend Jonathan. Jonathan is a billionaire oil tycoon Who she was about to break up with. Tim ends up rescuing her from Jonathan. This is when Tim discovers she is his mate. There is only one problem when she discovers shifters are real. She calls them monsters!
You will love this super exciting,funny,suspenseful,thrilling,sweet, and scorching hot shifter Romance. It is a Five Star plus story and series.

What has always drawn me to Anna Lowe’s books are the word pictures she paints. I can smell the salty tang of the ocean breeze, I can see the mischief in Joey’s eyes, I can taste the Hawaiian lunch truck food on a picnic at the beach, I can feel the growing attraction between Hailey and Tim… and I can sense the concern of his brothers, friends and fellow shifters as well. When an author can take the time to paint a word picture that transports me into their world, allows a story to build at its own pace and gives me an exciting story with several layers – then I’m going to be hooked on their work for a very long time.

I was easily swept into the world of the Aloha Shifters once again with a very dramatic opening scene that sets the pace for the rest of Rebel Bear. Tim may now be ex-Special Forces but he has no intention at all of getting involved in the mad hunt for the woman running desperately searching for a hiding place or to escape these goons chasing after her. No, he’s no knight in shining armor these days — but his bear has a different reaction. Help her. Save her. Destiny. He might have been successful in ignoring his bear if it weren’t for that smell of shifter excitement of the chase in the air. Reluctantly Tim heads for his future, one that will bring him everything he ever wanted – if he can overcome one woman’s fear of the animal in him.

Hailey had been completely duped by her mother. She knew this dress was the wrong color for a bridesmaid. And that suspicion came true when the jerk she’d been about to break up with tries to stage a forced wedding/proposal in front of a huge crowd, reporters at the ready to capture the whole farce. Since Jonathan wasn’t accepting her repeated No, Hailey did the only thing she could think of… she ran. Which might have worked if there weren’t several henchmen of Jonathan’s after her as well – or if she hadn’t backed herself into a corner with no escape. Why she trusted the strong male voice on the other side of the door she had no idea, but she did, and really he was her only way out of this mess. Putting her faith into a stranger’s hands might not have been the logical choice, but she felt safe and that feeling alone was worth the risk. Soon she’d be accepting the kindness of strangers… and entering into a world she never dreamed existed.

Rebel Bear brings us an engaging, at times intense, romance with more than its fair share of potholes. Tim knows that Hailey is his mate but her intense fear of animals from something in her past, to the onslaught of her fears when encountering what cannot be true in her world will keep Tim from confessing his own secret. He will do everything in his power to keep Hailey safe from those who want to do her harm… but if he can figure out a way to have her in his life that would be the perfect solution. There are a variety of villains in this story. Some are truly vile and dangerous with an agenda that has been planned for a very long time. Others are the more selfish, self-serving kind, Hailey’s mother in fact. And an older known enemy will be brought into this current situation with menacing possibilities. There is a bit of several things going on in Rebel Bear, some that will, I’m sure, be revealed in the rest of the series.

I loved Rebel Bear, easily got caught up in this magic once again. We’ll run into old friends, learn a bit more about several situations and simply sit back and enjoy the unfolding romance of Tim and Hailey. I would highly recommend this story and series to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader who loves a good solid story, believable characters, secondary characters that bring the book to life, vile villains to hate and a strong love story to enjoy. (and yes, I know this review went on too long… but I did love this story)

The second book in the Aloha Shifters: Pearls of Desire series contains tons of action and adventure that starts immediately with a runaway bride chase scene. Hailey is a high fashion model who is not thrilled with her busy lifestyle and ongoing bullying from her ambitious mother and wanna-be fiancé. She escapes a forced marriage as Hero Tim steps in to help sneak Hailey away, and to provide her with a safe place where she will have breathing room to decide what she wants for the rest of her life.

Throughout the story Hailey finds clarity about who she is – wanting work where she feels creative and is making a contribution. She also becomes clear about what kind of life she wants – quiet & peaceful, with extended family who love and protect her. On the way to figuring things out, she becomes a kick-ass heroine using the power of the mystical Pearl of Desire she inherited from her grandparents.

Conflict comes from several external sources: the wannabe fiancé who has an agenda, plus a group of shifters who have a different set of dark motivations. The other area for conflict is Hailey's fear of shifters as she labels them monsters, which causes Tim to hide his true self. In the end they save each other with the assistance of the Pearl, and they are a lovely addition to the Crew at Koa Point and Koakea Plantation. It was fun to see she had an instant friend in Jody from a previous book, Lure of the Tiger, who was also a model…

Over a couple of days retreat at a sanctuary where they hide to protect Hailey, a sweet romance develops between her Hero and Tim. He is a ‘gentle giant’ Bear Shifter who was introduced in the first book of this series. Loved Tim – he is strong and protective, but also shy and gentle, romantic and gentlemanly. I really love Anna Lowe's gift at giving a distinctive voice to his inner Bear, whose feelings and motivations are sometimes at odds with Tim the Man. At times his bear is single-minded and so absolutely sure she is their mate, it was cute and adorable how he tried to sidetrack Tim to follow their destiny. At other times the Bear was insecure wanting her to like him…

“I need to see. Please.”

His heart rate tripled. “Uh — you sure you’re ready for that?”

“.…I meant you. The bear. Please.”

He took a deep breath before standing before her. His bear trembled inside, eager and terrified at the same time. You think she’ll like me? his bear asked, suddenly fretting.”

Ahhh, so adorable – Tim and his bear just made the book for me. Final Rating: 4.5 Stars

This tells the story of Tim, a bear shifter and Hailey, a supermodel who is hiding from her fiance, Jonathan.

After watching Hailey hiding from a group of men in the mall, Tim decides to help Hailey evade them and takes her to Maui, much to the relief of his inner bear. As humans aren’t permitted to stay at the plantation at Koakea where Tim lives with his mismash pack, its agreed that he should stay with Hailey at the childhood home of his packmates Hunter and Dawn.

During the few days they spent there fixing the place up, they slowly get to know each other but while having dinner out on night, they come across Lamar, Jonathan’s head of security where Lamar reveals himself to be a shifter! After that altercation, Tim decides that Hailey must return to Koakea and stay at his place on the plantation. Everyone is under strict instructions not to show their shifter side and Tim slowly tries to talk Hailey round to the idea that shifters are not ‘beasts’ as she called Lamar but rather, they are just like humans whereby there is good and bad in everyone.

Whilst back at Koakea, Hailey arranges to give a media interview about her ‘disappearance as well as meet her mother at the Kapa’akea Resort where they have a showdown about the role her mother played in her relationship with Jonathan. Tim accompanies her as her ‘bodyguard’, backed up by Connor and Hunter. Which is just as well when Jonathan and his lawyer turn up! Despite being constantly told she doesn’t want to marry him or even be in a relationship with him, Jonathan is still insistent that they are meant to be together. Hailey makes it clear that marriage is not on the cards, makes her escape with Tim and heads back to Koakea. It’s back at Koakea that Hailey makes a shocking discovery which sends her fleeing again….. this time from Tim in his truck. Whilst struggling to decide what to do about her recent discovery, Hailey is run off the road by none other than Lamar who has snuck back onto Maui and the whole reason for Jonathan’s obsession with her comes to light. This is a HEA story and is the second book in this series. It didn’t disappoint and I can’t wait to read about how the rest of the pack meet their mates.

The second book of this series features Timber who is Connor's brother and a bear shifter. If you read book one, and if you didn't, you should, then you know that Connor and his brothers are working security on the Koa Point estate and living on the nearby plantation of Koakea. They are all working secondary jobs in the community to allow them to keep their ears open for trouble. Tim has caught a coptor ride to Oahu with Connor to pick up his contractor's license and is taking a break at the mall food court when a beautiful woman catches his eye. She is obviously on the run and her white dress is making it a bit hard to remain inconspicuous. When he smells a shifter he decides she is going to need some help and his bear is going crazy for the woman, which is something he never does.

Hailey cannot believe that her mother has set her up for a public proposal and the wedding to directly follow her joyous acception. Not happening. She doesn't really even like the guy and she definitely does not want to marry the conceited jerk. With the two of them ganging up on her she does the only thing she can think of, she runs. Ending up cornered in the changing room of a sport's store she can't believe it when she is rescued by a hunk of a man that she only glimpsed as she shoved her way down an escalator. For some reason she feels safe with him and trusts that he will get her away from Oahu. Maui sounds like far enough away to hide for awhile. She will be able to get it straightened out in a few days, right?

Found what happens as a beautiful model goes native with an ex -special forces soldier. Tim knows Hailey is his mate, but he is pretty sure she is not going to be ok with the whole shifter thing. He decides to take what he can get and trust that destiny won't let him down. What could go wrong? Lol.

This series is great and I can't wait for the next story. Dell is such a great character and the one that is the most cynical about love. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Entertaining and interesting! Love bear shifters because they are sweeties. I wish there was actually more of the shifter tendencies, and more time spent in their shifter form. Tim and Hailey are really sweet together! Their romance is kind of a slow burn, but they have a connection right from the beginning. Tim is great, and Hailey was lucky he was there for her. I liked Hailey, but the girl can't read people very well. She doesn't know when to cut people out of her life and say NO!, but she does get better. I don't like how the situation with Hailey's mom ended. Hailey is trying to hideout because her mom and this guy Hailey has been dating, but doesn't really like, is trying to force Hailey into marriage. Tim rescues her and helps her hideout. I'd read the first book in the series before this one because there are previous characters in this book, and there is a storyline that will probably go throughout the series. I was actually quite disappointed in the group this time! Tim was pretty much on his own for this adventure. I always love the action Lowe includes in her books, and I love the Hawaiian setting. The magical elements are great too, but in this book, I was a bit confused about what Hailey's pearl does. I listened to the audio version while I was driving, so maybe I missed a better explanation for it. It just seemed too vague. Speaking of the audio, I've listened to this narrator before, and she does a good job, but I think she's a little too exuberant at times. Maybe I'm just ready for a different narrator, but the listening experience is still good. I don't quite have the connection with the characters and story from this series as I have with past Anna Lowe books; I have high expectations for Lowe's books, so it's hard to live up to at times, but I'm still really enjoying this series. Looking forward to seeing what happens with the other shifters!

Leave it to Anna Lowe to bring another branch of the Aloha Shifters into the picture, while maintaining an intimate touch with the original crew. If you have ever had the pleasure of reading other books by Anna, you won’t want to miss out on this one. Her ability to create a story, and keep it going, is phenomenal. If you haven’t yet read any of her work, you should start now. It would be a move you won’t regret making. As all of her books are standalones, it won’t matter which one you pick up, you will find yourself wanting more, because they make you feel like you are returning home.
In this book, we meet Timber, aka Tim, as he relaxes at the food court in the mall while waiting to pick up his contractors license. When a woman with the most striking eyes runs past him, on the run from something, or someone, he takes it all in, as a good bear usually does. Check it out, then decide whether or not you make a move. Right? Or not! The moment he looks into the womans eyes, his bear awakens, and pushes Tim to help her. Destiny is on a rampage, and they need to follow her directions. Hailey is on the run! And it feels like her life depends on her getting away. When the big bear of a man offers his help, something in her heart tells her to take him up on it. That he will not only save her, but keep her safe too. But life may get complicated before it can get rosy. Only question is whether or not they’re all up for the fight.
Well written with a flow that will not only keep you intrigued, but gives you the need to read it…quick. Once you start, you won’t be able to put it down. Looking forward to the next in the series!

Book 2 in Aloha Shifters, Pearls of Desire Tim Hoving is minding his on business doing his errands and having lunch in the mall when he sees a beautiful young woman hiding behind a plant and they both cannot take theirs off one another until she hears someone pointing her out and she takes off, he knows that he should not get involved but he can't let any one hurt her know matter what, he catches up with her in a store and helps her get away from the man who wants to marry her but she doesn't have any feelings for, her name is Hailey Crewe the model but she showed Tim she was not spoiled rich girl and then she tells him her and her mom's story and that would have broken off with Jonathan but she didn't get the chance before her mother and Jonathan decided to surprise her at her own wedding by telling her it was his sisters wedding until she saw the sister sitting in the audience. She and Tim end up spending almost a week together and found out a lot about each other until one night on the beach when a wolf appeared on the beach and was threatening them and a couple of guys on an SUV pull up and they are with the wolf who transforms into a man who happens to be Jonathan's security guard who has come to take her back to her mother and boyfriend he tries to call Tim out but he gets his brother Connor who escorts them off the Island and all the way back to Maui. Hailey is so terrified after seeing Lamar change back an forth Tim is to scared to tell her that he is a bear shifter. This is a a romantic suspense thriller the characters are wonderful the story line is brings some of the other characters motives out in the open. Adult content. Recommend. Hailey, a rising supermodel, misses the normal life she once had. Yes, there are perks now, ones her momager seems to enjoy more than she does, but she needs a break. However, what she'd planned as temporary soon becomes a necessity as her mom scheme behind her back and literally plans Hailey's future for her. Not wanting any part of it, nor the secrets she learns about her "intended," Hailey runs...right into her salvation.

Timber, a bear shifter, couldn't help but notice the beautiful woman, not the sheer fear and panic in her eyes and actions. Now this former Special Forces vet turned security specialist is ready to step in and ensure she's safe from all threats. And if his bear is right and she truly is his mate? Well, one thing at a time. Tim does like to plan down to the last detail after all.

As the danger slowly closes in on Hailey even more, other secrets are discovered, such as shifters, and it scares her based upon a tragedy from her past.

Fate decides

As I often tend to do, I read "Rebel Lion" before this book in the series, "Rebel Bear", which is written prior to 'Rebel Lion'.
Like most of author Anna Lowe's series, they are written so each book can be read as a standalone, or as part of the series, with all the detailed information coming together to give each book a far deeper understanding of events that pop up in the individual book's, bring together the underlying mystery, action and dramatic events of shifter's who covet power with evil intent.
"Rebel Bear" gives you an understanding of how complex each of these shifter/ human personalities are, how completely different the possibility of finding and to actually woo their mates can be on each shifter and their intended.
Tim and Hailey are truly a perfect example how in realistic situation a person unaware of shifters would react.
We see through the love being experienced by Tim, him choosing to do everything needed to protect, love and keep her safe, even if it means walking away so she never suffers or fears the world he is from.
What keeps pulling me back to Anna Lowe"s book's is how easily she is able slip inside the characters that are central to the storyline and allow us to experience the colourful personalities both good and bad.
The Rebel series really is well thought out and has plenty of depth in both the storyline and the character's, a series you should follow through to the conclusion of only to find out exactly who is the shifter working behind the scenes to ensure shifter's are given the position of being the highest on the food chain with total control.

REBEL BEAR - A FABULOUS ADDITION TO THIS SERIES AND IS IMPOSSIBLE TO RESIST with a sultry bear shifter set on protecting his fated mate. There is plenty of action, suspense, horrific danger, life-threatening moments, humor, breathtaking scene descriptions, betrayal, emotional ups & downs, and of course, there is toe-curling sensuous intense romance to keep you entertained until the end.

Hailey a stunning model itches to be out of the spotlight. Her manager mom made a fatal error in judgment when she helped organize a surprise wedding with a man Hailey did not want as a lifetime partner; now she is on the run from everything she loathes. Timber has just started his new life on the enchanting island Maui and when he meets Hailey fiery desires swirl through him as well as PROTECT. The two face challenges and securing their happily ever after is quite a wild journey.

FANTASTIC read; well-written and intriguing. I love the way this author portrays her heroines strong, intelligent yet feminine too. Hailey proves to be quite a force. Timber is powerful and his devotion to Hailey shines in this story. These two have awesome chemistry; definitely a perfect match. The full cast of characters is quite believable too. I loved and enjoyed this story from start to finish so {of my own volition without any stipulations, I reviewed an advanced copy. Without any reservations, I recommend this read.

Rebel Bear

This KU library selection is a great standalone "runaway bride" adventure story, full of betrayal vs loyalty, threat vs protection, and greed vs generosity. Top model Hailey Crewe doesn't suspect when she travels to Hawaii that the wedding she's attending is her own, rather than her billionaire (and soon to be ex) boyfriend's sister's. But when Alexander drops to one knee and pops the question in front of the guests, then won't accept her "no", she acts on her instincts and runs. Attempting to evade relentless paparazzi and Andrew's ruthless bodyguards chasing behind her, she ducks into a shopping mall entrance, then a curtained dressing room.
Timber Hoving is a bear shifter, ex special forces sergeant, current estate and personal protection specialist and aspiring construction contractor. He island hopped to apply for his contractors license and stopped off at the mall for a snack, when a commotion breaks out by the escalator. His eyes lock with a woman in a white dress. Then she's gone, and he knows he has to help her, whatever her problem may be. What he doesn't expect is to follow her scent to a dressing room, and to have his bear call her "mate". He urges her to trust him and gets her back to the estate on Maui, but Hailey is still a long way from being safe.
I can't wait for book three.

Love this Bear!!!!

Tim is the perfect bear!!! His character is so sweet and caring and he is what every bear shifter should be! I fell in love with him right from the beginning!!! Hailey is so naive about shifters and so much stronger than she thinks. She is an amazing character that I do enjoyed the way she blossomed in this story. This book had such a great natural progression and it was so easy to just get so absorbed in it and lose all sense of time and forget about housework and anything important I should of been doing even like sleep,lol . I am such a fan of the Aloha series and this one is hot and so romantic and full of action . There is never a dull moment. This book makes me want to move to the plantation! Another great book by Anna Lowe! Course you can never go wrong reading any of her books. Her writing style keeps you engaged from page one. I recommend this book to everyone ! I also recommend you check out her other books . This book can be read as a standalone, but once you read this I bet you'll want to read the first one and even check out the first series. It truly is that good! So do yourself a favor grab a cup of coffee curl up and read this book, it is worth it!!!!

I loved reading this book just as much as I have enjoyed every other book written by Anna Lowe.

You ever have that mother who thinks what she wants is best for her daughter even if they disagree with it? Unfortunately I have the RL experience to imagine that myself. This book starts out with Hailey getting dressed for what her mother was saying was her to be sister-in-laws wedding, only to be suprised by her boyfriend surprising her with her own wedding. While she was getting ready she was thinking about how she would break it off with him, just didn't want to spoil his sister's big day. So she ran.

Timber is a bear shifter who finds himself attracted to this bride on the run, his bear insisting that they help her. During their escape, her ex's security is revealed to be shifters, traumatizing Hailey. At this point she is feeling that all shifters must be evil, so how will Timber reveal himself, not only as a bear, but as seeing her as his true mate?

The pace of the story is very fast but at the same time realistic in my eyes. Learning to see the evil in humans, while learning there can be good in the shifters as well as the bad. This book will keep you turning the pages for more.

Completely Captivating Read – Love these Aloha Shifters stories!!

Hailey, a down-to-earth super model, ends up on the run when her mom, agent and boyfriend all conspire against her. Bear-shifter Timber Hoving (Tim) sees the chase unfolding and realizes there is something special about Hailey. He assists her in her escape and takes her to a remote area of the island to hide until the media frenzy dies down.

A rustic cottage with an outhouse, cistern for water and creek for bathing are just what Hailey needs. Her rescuer Tim asks nothing from her (an anomaly), but gives her purpose as they clean and repair the place.

When Hailey is terrified after a shifter encounter, Tim realizes he does not have a chance of keeping his mate; a few days together is better than never having found her.

Danger, romance, humor, a touch of magic and a clan of shifters are the ingredients for this amazing island experience. Set aside the remainder of your day, because once you pick this one up you will not be able to put it down until the final page! I highly recommend this story, and this series!!

Sit back and relax because this book is going to draw you in and will not let go until the very end! An emotional and tender read.

Hailey is on the run after her mom and "boyfriend" try to force into a surprise wedding. She hides from the would-be-groom and his security force and she ends up being rescued by Tim. She instinctively trusts her saviour and their bond is instantly formed.

Tim, a bear shifter, is a Special Forces vet who wants to start his own contractor business. He sees a woman on the run from mean looking men and helps her escape. He realises she is his mate but Hailey has had a traumatizing experience with shifters and thinks they are all monsters. How can he tell her he is a shifter when he knows she is terrified of them and will most likely run away?

Amidst a deadly fight, Hailey will need to prove her love with the help of her mystical pearl. Will she find the courage to overcome her fear and grab the happiness that is within her grasp?

Beautifully written with an exciting and captivating plot!

If you love a they play between the man and the animal this shifter is for you. Rebel Bear is the perfect title for in this action romance, Tim a Bear shifter and his bear are a very strong character, easy to love. Hailey a supermodel meets Tim not knowing about shifters. Tim helps Hailey escape her wedding. One planned by a man she was planning on telling she never wanted to see him again, she just wasn't mean enough to do it before his sisters wedding. That was what she was told by Johnathon, his sister and her own mother. But it turns into a trap set by Johnathon and her mother, they plan on forcing Hailey to marry Johnathon, so Hailey ran. Chased by Johnathon, his security detail and her mother, she ran. Tim having an innocent lunch sees a woman and can't figure out why his bear is so interested, however seeing her chased and smelling another shifter sets him on edge so he finally agrees with his bear, its time to get involved. Hailey is in for more than one shock as she is hunted by Johnathon and his security crew. Can Hailey learn to trust Tim, are the events in her life to traumatic to overcome and love a Bear like Tim.

This is book two in this most enjoyable series. We see the quiet bear, Tim helping out a scared and running woman, Hailey. Hailey is visiting Hawaii to watch her boyfriend's sisters wedding. Or is she? She's about to break up with Jonathan (her boyfriend) but doesn't want to do it before his sister's wedding. Surprise! She's actually there because Jonathan is about to pop the question and have them get married. Hailey freaks out and runs and everyone begins chasing her. Eventually she runs past Tim and hides. Tim, being the bear that he is, can sniff her out and helps her escape.
In my opinion, this book is a bit different from the other books, as Hailey shares time with Tim and grows very close to him. She's envisioning more but Hailey runs into Lamar, a wolf-shifter/body guard of Jonathan's and it wasn't pleasant. She can't imagine shifters and only envisions them as bad. So as much as Tim wants more with Hailey, he knows that she doesn't want anything to do with shifters. Can he get her to change her mind?
This is a really sweet story. Looking forward to the next one. I'm secretly dying to read Cynthia's story!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. With every story in this series and it’s spinoff, the characters continue to be more and more relatable and the shifter counterpart funnier or more endearing. This story is no different. Hailey is a model that came from nothing with an overbearing mother determined to control every aspect of her life—up to and including who she wants Hailey to marry. In a moment of being overwhelmed, Hailey runs off and tries to escape the crazy. There, she runs into Tim Hoving. Tim was just minding his own business and handling his own stuff when he sees the woman fleeing and several men running after her. He starts out trying to stay out of it but his bear has other ideas and that is how their story starts out. I feel a certain kinship with Hailey. I know what it’s like to have to scrap and scrape, having someone else making all the decisions in your life only to second guess yourself out of fear and the preoccupation that you’ll be seen as ungrateful. I love how Hailey finds herself and fights for the love and life that she wants. For me, this story is one of the most powerful and relatable in the series!

Book two in Pearls of Desire by Anna Lowe
Hailey is a supermodel in a very destructive relationship with her mother and while in Maui she thinks she’s a bridesmaid but when she gets to wedding she finds out her mother has arranged her to marry the man instead. So Hailey becomes a runaway bride.
While running for safety she runs into bear shifter Timber Hoving and he hides her and takes her to Kao Point.
This relationship was a difficult balancing act because Hailey doesn’t know anything about shifters and once she does she struggles to understand and that they aren’t evil killing animals but loving family that’s trying to make a go of being of the service and having a normal life. I’ve got to admit I loved part but I feel like this is a filler book instead of a stand out book but I wouldn’t miss it to get the sweet moments.
Love the narration by Kelsey Osborne but I would love duel narration with separate male and female voices.
I absolutely love Cynthia and her adorable son especially his relationship with Dell and mischief they get up to. So looking forward to Dell and Cynthia there story.

Book 2 in the series. Each story even though is in a series it can be listen to as a stand alone . The first one is Rebel Dragon , the Bear one will grab your attention .
Hero is Tim. Heroine is Hailey.
Hailey is betrayed by her mother , who so happens to be her manager . Hailey is a model, a successful one and her mother has other plans for her . Hailey has one goal in mind , break up with her boyfriend Jonathan. But Jonathan and Hailey mother has other plans. For Jonathan to get down on one knee before everyone and ask for her hand . Hailey can’t take any more so she runs !!! . That’s when Hailey runs into Tim. Tim is on Hawaii like his other team forces for a project. That’s when Tim and Hailey and even though Tim doesn’t want anything to do with her , his bear has other ideas , His bear knows that Hailey is their mate , Tim needs to convince Hailey that they belong together but her needs to tread softly to show her who he really is . Grab it and see how Hailey takes who Tim really is. Does Jonathan find Hailey,

Tim, brother to Connor alpha at Koakea Plantation, is quite happy being a bachelor. Hailey is a famous model. When Hailey runs from a surprise wedding set up between her controlling mother and Jonathan, a billionaire businessman she has dated intermittently, it is Tim who saves her. He takes her to Koakea on Maui so that she can hide out until everything settles down. Hailey knows nothing about shifters so she cannot stay with him for long but, every time his brothers tell him she has to leave he finds himself reluctant to let her go. Hailey, on the other hand, loves the simple life of Tim's world but there are forced at work that are not letting her go that easily!
Once again Anna Lowe has written a wonderful novel full of action, romance and strong characters. She keeps you enthralled right to the end with twists and turns to the plot. It is a pleasure to read a full length novel rather than the novellas that seem to be the norm nowadays!
