Beautiful book to reflect on and ponder the mysteries of the rosary. I loved the lectio divina with scripture, but I also really enjoyed the personal reflections after each mystery. The coloring rosary was a nice addition as well. Would definitely recommend!

Like previous Take Up and Read studies, the cover, artwork, and layout of this book are stunning. Favorite features like Lectio Divina and journaling space are back. I like that each mystery of the Rosary has a botanical representation to color as you dive deep into the scriptural basis for each mystery. If you're a Catholic, you'll love this study comprised in part of essays from solid Catholic writers. If you're a Protestant curious about the Rosary - especially if you think it's a tool Catholics use to practice idol worship - I gently encourage you to read through the meditations here and see for yourself that that perception is flawed.

I did this as part of a group study -- not the ideal situation for an intro (in my case) to Lectio Divina, but the book itself is perfect for those who've never tried this ancient technique of approaching the Scriptures. The workbook format walks the reader through each step, with plenty of room to write responses; offers application questions; and concludes each mystery with a color-it-in rosary to reinforce the point of this study: to bring the reader deeper into each mystery and encourage prayer. I loved my experience in this book so much that the other studies in this series are now on my Wish List!

I really liked this study. It had a nice combination of prayerfully reading scripture, praying the rosary and applying both to daily life and the things God is calling me to right now. While I didn't complete all of the coloring portions I did really like that element and plan to return to this book and do the reflections again and finish the coloring in the future.
