A baker witch
This is a great short read. Julia does shifter romances very well, I have been a fan of hers for a while and this one is no disappointment. Kallie is the last of her line of witches. Kallie's fondest memories are of baking sweet treats with her Gram, so naturally that's what she does for a living.
Murdock has tantalizing scene a of chocolate and cherries calling to him at the most inopportune time. Murdock is looking for his brother and doesn't want a mate. The Dragon king who shares Murdock's soul knows those scents belong to their mate, the ONE made just for them, but Murdock wants to fight it.
We all know the universe does not make mistakes.
I like the family ideal Julia always brings into these books. This book is well written with great, likeable characters.

This is the 29th in the Dragon Guard series. Kalliope is a witch who has inherited her grandmother’s talent for cooking. She is so good that she has her own tv show. With Valentine’s Day fast approaching she decides to make a special version of her grandma’s Velvet Cupcake recipe. Imagine her horror when young men start turning up at the studio proclaiming their love for her! Where did she go wrong? She’d only added just a little, smidgen of a spell to the recipe hadn’t she? It shouldn’t have had this effect.
Murdock (Dock) Deoirearch (I hope that’s right!) is a dual dragon. He is a dragon of fire and of the sea. He has been alone for years and is quite happy patrolling the seas alone thank you very much. But recently he has been having dreams of a beautiful young woman, accompanied by a lovely smell of chocolate, sweet cherries and vanilla. He is determined to ignore them but circumstances (or the goddess) have brought him home and the pull becomes too strong when he realises that she is a woman on television whose name is Kalliope! Then, the next day, he realises that she is in trouble and goes to save her.
But there’s a big problem for the danger is a Celtic god who is more powerful than either of them. Of course there’s a HEA but our couple need help in sorting this out.
This is a nice series but you need some time between books after a while. What I do is read 3-5 books and leave them for a while then go back and read another few. They’re a very nice time waster. LOL

Millions, the witch, and Murdock, the Dragon King
Millions has a cooking show on local TV. Her grandmother was famous for her cupcakes, and Kallie follows in her footsteps. Murdock is seeking his fated mate, and Kallie is it. Unfortunately, the God of fertility has gone bad and has targeted Mall is because he wants her burgeoning super strong witch powers. He causes her to speak a love spell on her show as a diversion so he can kidnap her. Murdock interferes and takes her ban c k to his cabin, but the God interferes, freezing Murdock, and takes Kallie to a castle dungeon where he plans to take her powers with the help of the God of the Underworld. Murdock gets the help of three Priestess and her powerful mate and her Coven. He ate and Lumen, most powerful gods, stop the procedure and freed Kallie for Murdock to take home. Murdock and Kallie mate.
Great story with a lot more to it than stated above. Highly recommend reading this and others by 's. Mills.

Boring
Purchased based on interesting story summary, that started out great but then devolved into the seemingly never-ending storyline lately from this series of evil gods popping out of the woodwork to lust after either the helpless heroine or her power.
Also, I know that this series (I have read most of them) revolves around fated mates and 'the one', but this one was so fast that they didn't even talk to each other before they were declaring their love in their minds and got married (after spending most of the time chained to the wall by a god - the h --- or begging for help from other gods/goddesses - the H), within 2 days!! I ended up skipping through the last 25% of the book. Won't be buying any more of these books as they have devolved into which evil god/goddess will pop up to plan the end of the universe as we know it.

This is Murdock and Kallie's story . Kallie is a cook on her own cooking show and is also a witch . Wanting to make something special for her crew and the show . The next morning she learns that something happened while she did her show and now there is a huge line and crowd of men all professing to love and want to marry her !! Heading down to the studio she has to hide who she is to avoid the men . Murdock , "Dock" to his friends , is dreaming of cupcakes and a hot woman whom he knows is his mate . And he is heading to find her since he can sense that she is in trouble . Due to one horny ( more ways than one ! lol ) God and his making all this trouble these two will have to work together to get it handled ! I love Julia Mills"s writing style !! This is well written and recommended to all !!

Kalliope longs for a mate and determines it couldn't be bad to help fate along. Murdock is determined to ignore the mating call and search for his brother instead. Someone is determined to steal her powers. Will Murdock accept his mate before it is to late? Will Kalliope finally get the happy ever after she has longed for?
Just like all the other Dragon Guard books, this one was great. Loved how Kalliope is this spunky, take no crap witch. I didn't blame Murdock for being leary after his past and only being awake for a couple of days, but I was proud that when it mattered, he was there. Good read

Magical!
This book has a witch from Calysta’s Coven, another old Guardsman & a evil Celtic God in it.
Kallie, has a baking show where she makes cupcakes & during a live show she zones out & says a spell. But, unbeknownst to her the evil god made her do it as a distraction so that he could carry out his plans for her & her magic.
But, what that God didn’t count on was Kallie’s true mate, Murdock or Dock to his dragon brethren to come to her rescue.

A male dragon shifter warrior has been dreaming about a female every night. He fights the urge to find her until he sees her on TV. A female witch has the special ability that she inherited from her grandmother in being able to bake anything. She always adds just a touch of magic to each recipe, just like her grandmother taught her. You will have to read the book to find out what all happens to everyone. There may be Gods, kidnapping and more in this story. Happy reading!

The world of the Dragon Guard is one I never tire of reading. This one is Maddock's story of finding his one mate. A witch that cooks with spells and love. Kallie has her own cooking show and the crew love her. Well they love her baked goods. Feisty sassy with the mouth of a truck driving sailor, she's about to be the object of not only "Dock" but of a certain horny god! Enjoy! I did!

A great fun read with humour and silliness abounding.
Short but still a good well written flowing story that gives us everything we need in this series.
Loved crazy Kaliope and her full on do not take me on attitude.
Murdock was just such a great dragon guardsman, going from not wanting a mate due to thinking he wasn’t good enough to full out rescue mode.
Nice to have some of the others being involved in this story too.
This is my honest review of this book which I bought.

I love the Dragon Guard Series, Julia Keeps your attention with the fun, the drama, the creative battles fought, and the love of a dragon. You can actually feel the live between the Dragon and hid mate. Can't wait to see this series put in TV, I wouldn't miss a show!

Dragons true mate
Julia has once again written a great book filled with a beautiful witch who is the true mate of a twin spirited dragon man. Julia has created a world of magic and wonder and I feel that any reader who loves great romantic stories will fall in love with this book which I highly recommend.

I love Kalliope! Kalliope, a witch, dreams of a handsome man and wonders if he is real. Murdock is a dragon guardsman he too dreams about a mate.
Kalliope whips up a recipe of her Gram's on her Cooking Show and includes a spell to fall in love with her. Disaster occurs.What a fun story to read.

Absolutely delightful
It is amazing that I have never read any of the Dragon Guard books. I seriously am going to rectify that particular failure. If the rest of the books are like this one, I am going to enjoy myself immensely.

Very enjoyable
Really enjoyed this little novella. Quirky, funny and still full of paranormal adventure. Characters are all well rounded and loved the Scottish dialogue from the dragon.
