Lisa Daniels

Lisa Daniels is a (young) retired school teacher who resides in Miami. After five years of teaching, Lisa Daniels found that it wasn’t quite the world that she wanted to inhabit. After leaving her position, she moved to Miami. She hasn’t regretted it.

In her worlds, Lisa Daniels creates characters that go beyond the usual narrative. While they definitively include romance, Lisa Daniels strives to make the worlds more real with characters that are more than just cardboard cutouts of the genre. All of the main characters (and many of the secondary ones) have a rich history that span much longer than the stories themselves. This makes it easy to weave the stories together so that you can see characters you met in previous tales and see how they have managed since.

The Dragons of Letera is her first standalone series. Letera is a world teaming with romance, action, and stories – it is a world that Lisa Daniels loves to explore with her readers, one character at a time.

I received an advance reading copy in exchange for an honest review.
Mordred – That was cute. Like a fairy tale. I did like it thought. It's sweet that Kiara has a hard time quieting her mind. It can be hard to do at times.
Ronan – This story tells a little more about there world. There are more questions than answers. Like why are there not birds? What is the black wisp that come off the Night Hordes? I don't know why the people can conger light. So many questions and very little answers. It's a very good story. I like that the Highborn were masks. That is different and interning.
Ian – I am happy for Ian and Winifred. All that they went through and came out on the other side happy and safe. I like that they have a relationship that they can work together and be happy at the same time. I really enjoyed this story.
Lawrence – Yelena has a low opinion of herself, low self esteem. Lawrence has a lot of faith in her and so does the rest of her friends and family. I loved this story and I know you will also.
Annora's Dragon – I liked it. Annora is a woman after my own heart. One who can take care of herself and others too. I like the way her mind works. Never about a woman's lot or how a woman is treated. Just about not taking anything from anyone else. I like her a lot. Excellent story.
Bree's Dragon – OOO!! That was nice. Short but exciting and in a way fun. Defiantly different in that I have not read about sorceress that can do what she can. I loved it.
Kerensa's Dragon – I like Heath. He is something, so sweet, genital, protective. This story makes me laugh. Assumptions about what is seen or thought what was seen. I loved it.
Noely's Dragon – I love the way these Dragons find there mate and just takes if from there. Quick and clean, but they let there mates catch up to them before they take possession. I really like this story.
Ailey's Dragon – Beautifully done. Stubborn can be a good trait. It does not help others to manage it but it can be done. Good story and I love the way they show there mate what they are.
Guardians of Lunar Wasteland
Kain's Rescue: Book 1 - To be someone to stand in front of a great enmity. To not have someone to call your own. To have someone, friend, family, anyone to call your own. That is what you fight for to protect and cherish. You need someone or something like that. What better than to have a mate.
Linther's Rescue: Book 2 – These stories get better and better. I love them. A lot of excitement and danger. Protecting the living and trying to survive for the next fight.
Vrin's Rescue: Book 3 - Even with the unknown we still strive to NOT “Give in”. It is a different kind of strength, Will Power if you like to stay strong and vigilant against evil.
Erlandur's Rescue: Book 4 – Faith a strong warrior, a witch, skill unmatched in battle. The woman
not seen. Erlandur sees a woman, beautiful, strong, caring a woman in need. Surprises and shocks galore what next.
Nox's Rescue: Book 5 – Each book takes you further in to a plan to get rid of the Shadows. The more knowledge they acquire the better to know how to win. Echo has a good gut to listen to. Now to get more on their side.
Loras's Rescue: Book 6 – An unexpected army and not much longer until the war begins. A crazy story, and scary. With war and preparing for war there is a lot of danger. People grow close when these things happen and fast too.
Malek's Rescue: Book 7 – The final battle and at the end hope. Hope that they will take back what has been lost over the years. To make a difference to the children to come to have a future.
Found by the Dragon
Anya's Freedom: Book 1 – What does a slave do or think when not being a slave any longer? They would only know what they have been taught, right? Can you imagine what you would know and think? The author has a very good imagination, she has done a very good job of painting you a picture.
Wonder what you would think or do for whoever took you away from that. Made you feel that you had some control of your own life. Made you feel safe and cherished.
Seon's Freedom: Book 2 - OOO!!! This story is something else. It has a lot of implications. I don't know if their will be another to clear it up or not. I do hope there will be. Very good story and I hope to see more.
Deep River Shifters
Rescued by Ryland: Book 1 – Serenity can be so focused on her work that she doesn't remember to take care of herself. Ryland will be there. I can understand way Serenity wanted to leave. I liked the story.
Rescued by Emery: Book 2 – That was very good. I do think that when you have people that are so close, even living in the same house. That they don't know everything about you, that to me is strange. The story is well done. There is a lot of excitement and danger. Very good.

Night Wolves

Kiara was a princess who could not sit still long enough to learn the ways of court. She was constantly learning new things and spending time in the forest. She had enough light magic to keep from being lost in the endless dark. Her father arranges her mate to a god to strengthen their borders against a common enemy. Kiara go d's herself married to a god, whose also a werewolf, because she sees his face. The story continues when Kiara's sister shows up after being kidnapped on her way to the new country. She too becomes married when she sees the face of the werewolf she saves when she escapes. The third book continues with Kiara's maid who finds overseeing uses by her Mother to bring down her friends but with the help of a werewolf, god, she helps stop an invasion. The final book finds the answer to where the sun went and all the women use their special light powers to stop the final battke.

Night Wolves is a box set of the books in this unique series that has it all. It has mystery and magic, danger and excitement, thrills and action, adventure and romance. Where Gods are like no others and the women are sassy and headstrong, feisty and magical and will fight for what they want. This paranormal box set is different to what I have read before, the world Lisa has created is unique and quirky. Each book is based on different Heroes and Heroines, as they come together and fight towards ridding the world of a common foe, coming together to find love and to learn more about themselves.

I loved the books. I feel as if the series could be continued because there is a lot of unanswered questions. I think they should have been able to figure out how to replace the sun. There's a lot that I'm wondering.

Replace the sun
How was it destroyed in the first place?
Can the bad things in the night be saved? Has anyone tried?
Do they ever get back to the cave antichamber?
Do they figure out what they are worshipping?
Are they somewhat civilized? I mean they had food and they were worshipping something?
Are they still mentally there?
What are the bigger ones that didn't react to the light?

So many questions that weren't answered!

This is a great series all in one set. Each book had characters who were interesting and well developed. The story progressed well with each book which each focused on one couple. The last book featured Lawrence and Yelena and they were like the other books strong characters who were likeable. Lots of action and mystery as they try to solve what happened to the sun. The last book answered many questions and was a great end to a great series! I am voluntarily reviewing an arc I received from Booksprout.

I really enjoyed how unique this series was. I’ve never read anything like this and I have read a lot of paranormal stories. The earth has lost the sun and humans found a way to survive. But now the history of what happened is lost and factions are formed. Each story brings you one set of characters that will learn more of the truth and may even find that they need each other. By the last book so much will have changed throughout the series and answers are somewhat given. Lots of action between what may be good or what may be evil.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the series.

GREAT BOXED SET

I enjoyed all the different stories. There was a lot to read with different types of stories and each was good.

There were 2 problems for me: (1) I had read some of the stories in different books or boxed sets and (2) Lack of good editing. There were too many errors that should have been easily caught.

Many of these stories could have gone longer into full books that I would have read. So if you like shifter and other paranormal, go for it because you will have hours of entertainment. Happy reading.

Loved them all. You have intrigue, suspense, very emotional in spots, hot and so much more. With the world bad like it is and then having to deal with life's hardships makes it an exciting read. Not my usual read but I am glad I did. Kept my attention and enjoyed it. I recommend it. I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.

Good as a whole story

This was good as a whole story. Not so much when you read them separately. The only thing about this collection is that they didn't resolve the back story with the sun. They kept alluding to the mystery of why it went missing. It needs more story to explain what happened. I feel like the author left off with a HEA for now.

Great collection

In my opinion:it is a great read for getting out of our troubles for a while. And dream a bit.
Could really use a good proof reader. So many small mistakes that you have to re-read the section to understand what the Author really meant.
Otherwise no complaints.

This set was good. It was one that I could sit down and go back to read in between reading the books I could not put down. Although, I would not totally dismiss it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Stuffed book. Advertised titles ended at 24% the rest was filler. Stories weren't bad but book stuffing is a form of theft.
