Lily and her family are going for a walk with their dog, Hugo, when Hugo sniffs out an amazing secret. A litter of kittens have been abandoned in the woods! Without their mother the kittens may not survive the night, so Lily's family take them in. Lily loves caring for the kittens - and even Hugo does his best to protect the new arrivals. But her little sister is afraid of cats and Lily knows all along that she won't be able to keep any of the kittens - even her favourite, the adorable Stanley. All too soon the time comes for them to go to new homes. How can Lily persuade her family that Stanley's perfect home is with her?

Labiausiai man patiko sakinys knygos pradžioje: „Kiekvienam, kuris priėmė kačiuką į savo namus,- tu esi pasakiškas!“. Mano abi katės taip pat buvo benamės...
aw,The fluffy white kitten named Stanley was so adorable, and the dog named hugo was supper cute to in fact i think they are a perfect pare. You just have to read the book like I've read so many of these holly webb books, they are my favorite brand of books. When you look at the kitten at the front of the book you will think it is a girl but it is a boy.
There all the same-the little girl gets the dog or cat at the end. And I can't believe they were going to get rid of the kitten because they thought he scratched the family's dog who's like his best friend. They were about to take Stanley (that's the cat's name) to the animal shelter when their neighbor told them that her cat did it which they know the cat comes in when she wants and the family end up keeping Stanley (of course) and that's basically the ending, and the end of my review.
This book may have been the worst of those we’ve read by this author. My daughter was quite upset and even angry at one point. We already owned this book, and she wanted to read it. The plot was slow and lacking. The plot points were rather disturbing. A disappointing read.
You might think its a girl, but its a boy kitten, this book is about a litter of kittens and they find them on a couch, there is two tabbies and one white kitten, they wait for the mom cat to come, they sit on a log for seven hours, they take the kittens home and start hand rearing, as the weeks go by, Lily becomes more and more closer to the kittens and she can't bare to say good-bye, especially to the white kitten who she names Stanley, but when her mom puts a picture of only Stanley since his sisters are adopted now, Lily can't bare the thought of her beautiful kitten, Stanley to be adopted by someone else, one night, their dog Hugo, the dog who found the kittens, started barking like crazy, when the family came down, there was a bunch of stuff broken and Hugo has a scratch on his nose, all of them accept Lily well maybe her a little, thinks Stanley scratched Hugo and they decide to take Stanley to the animal shelter the next morning, but their neighbor, Anna, tells them the next morning that her cat, Pixie, came in last night, and they decided to keep Stanley, and if you want to know all of the details, read the book. Bye.

This is an absolutely heartwarming story. We have trouble getting the 7yo into reading, and nothing like an adorable fluffy kitten for her cat lady heart to rope her in. We read a chapter a night, allowing us to finish in a week's time. We own this copy, but then bonded by looking at our library to see what other cat stories by this author are available to borrow and what order we are going to read them in. We've also been having trouble with anxiety about sleeping in her own room and exclaimed this book made her feel so good she had good dreams about kittens all night, helping her stay in her own room. Listen, one billion stars. We are going to read them all!
One day when Lily and her dad are on a walk with their dog,Hugo when they find a litter of kittens. They’re all alone and the mother is nowhere in sight. They wait for hours but she doesn’t come back. Lily’s family fosters the kittens. Lily loves all of them especially the little white one who she names Stanley. As Stanley gets bigger, his sisters go to new homes and Lily knows that one day Stanley will leave too. Can Lily bear to say goodbye to him? This book was cute and creative and i will read it again.
Šį kartą knygelėje aprašoma istorija man itin įsiminė, mat mažieji kačiukai, kuriuos miške rado šuo buvo trys: dvi rainos mergytės ir vienas baltas katinėlis. Mano katinas irgi turėjo dvi rainas sesutes (kurias priglaudė žmonės iš mano gimtojo miesto), o jis pats yra baltas bernelis, kuriam jau beveik du metai.
