She was brought to America by her parents and raised in the Deep South where the words ma'am and y'all became an integrated part of her lexicon. She wrote her first novel at the age of eight and continued writing on and off during her teenage years. In college she studied biology and chemistry and finally combined the two by earning a master's degree in biochemistry. After that she moved to Yankee land where she lived for four years working in a laboratory at Cornell University. Homesickness and snow aversion forced her back South where she lives in the land which spawned Elvis Presley, Oprah Winfrey, John Grisham and B.B. King. After finding her Prince Charming, she gave birth to a wondrous gift named Caylin and they all lived happily ever after.
The second book to the Harvester of Light trilogy will be available for purchase no later than December 2012.

SJ West brings us another incredible story! The writing keeps you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails & never wanting it to end! Cannot wait for the next book!

If you told me back when I read the originally Watcher's Trilogy that I would still be reading this whole series at book 22 I would not have believed you. I only started with this whole series 2 months ago and love it!
This new series deals with Ana and Malcom's children Liam and Lianna and Helena's son Cal.
As always I like how we see old characters we love and the blossoming of new romances.
I think one of the thing she did so well is how she makes us care for all the characters.
If you are a fan of this series of her's keeep reading!
I think this whole series would make a AMAZING TV series!

I can never say enough how much S.J.West drags you in, drooling, laughing, crying, having your heart broken and then having it mended again!
Liana and Cal have the majority of this book, and it was great getting to know their characters as they grew up, - even with the timehops - but it was also good seeing the 'usual cast' as well. Can't beat a bit (or a LOT) of Malcolm.
It was nice to see Helena's and Liana's relationship continue throughout Liana's childhood, even if things did change towards the end. I also like the fact that Anna didn't give up on her.
Cal's childhood was a little hard on him because of his wings, but with the love from his family, he made it through. He's definitely going to need all the love in the worlds to help him through the next stage of his life!
There are quite a few ooooohhhh moments, a couple of grrrr momenet, and the ending will leave you wanting more!

Down world life and rebellions
I LOVE how this book follows the kids as they grow up and some of the things they grow through. I haven't come across a book that's done this so it was new and different. I was really hoping that having Liana and Anna spend tome with Helena would soften her up. But it only made things that much worse when she betrayed them. I was utterly shocked by the turn of events surrounding Liana and her love life. Its hard to write this review because all i want to do is read the next book to figure out what happens next to her and her new guest. Throughout this book you will notice that Cal is an angel in every way imaginable. He is a really good and kind person with a big heart, which I did not expect considering his mother. But its probably because he is Helena's son that he was able to save Liana from. The future Helena had in store for her.

I really enjoyed this book! I love when an author can suck you into their world so that you can leave your own world for a little while. Every time I read a book from SJ West, I am completely sucked in. This book is no different. I enjoyed reading all of the characters points of view. I loved that the reader got information from the characters even though there were time jumps. I normally dislike time jumps due to the fact you feel like you miss out on a lot of information; however, with the way SJ West does her time jumps, I felt completely in the know. I cannot wait until the next book comes out. I am so excited to learn how everything will play out!

It is hard to believe that this is the twenty second book in the Watchers series by SJ West! I love this series even more with each book! This book continues on with the story of Lianna, Liam and Cal. I loved learning more about Cal and his life. I also found Helena and Lianna’s relationship to be interesting. This book also brought more of Anna and Malcolm which I will always love reading. This story is told from many points of view which I normally don’t care for but Sj West did it in a way that worked with the story. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Liana and Liam are Anna and Malcolm 's twins. This story follow their lives though adulthood. It includes others like Helena and Cases child. The child was given up to a couple who would keep him safe and love him totally. Welcome and Anna have their work cut out dealing with the twins and Lucas. This story is fantastic and is engaging and thorough and wonderful. Everything S. J. writes is spectacular. This is no exception.

Loved this book!
I'm going to do my best not to give anything away because you have to read this book to see for yourself just how much sj outdid herself with this one. I laughed, I cried, I got so mad I almost threw my kindle across the room. Cal, Helena, Liana....the story evolves and we are left begging for sj to finishing next book like yesterday or let us live in her brain for a while so we can know how it all ends. I can't say enough how much I loved this book!

Wow.... These books just keep getting better and better...
This book follows Liam, Liana and Cal... All three are going through rough adolescent years...
Cal amazes me... I didn't see that coming at all....
Liam and Liana have a wonderful twin bond, and support each other through thick and thin...
I'm sensing some big changes for all of them in the next book and I cannot wait...

everlasting
As with all of your books, you are captured from the beginning til the end. I would recommend this book to anyone. As you know I don't tell what is in the books I read. That is for you to read and find out. I do think you will enjoy the book and want more. All of S.J. West books are great. I thank her for writing such great books. I have enjoyed them all. Can't wait for more.

Cant wait for the next one!
I have read all of these in order. This is a great series! I can't wait to see what happens next, I know that the series is most likely coming to an end. Im looking toward to how it happens. This has been a love story with your Angels (Watchers), war angels, some hybirds, seer, etc.. There are many obstacles they face & its interesting how it will happen.

Between Worlds is an AMAZING book! I especially loved reading all the POV's. It is another great addition to her beloved Watchers and you can tell how much she loves each character, just by reading her words. I am lucky to call myself a fan of the amazing S.J. West, and can't wait to continue her journey with this series!

One amazing ride
What can I say about this book besides it's phenomena! S.J. West adds turns in this book that you totally don't see coming. At one point I was like I love you, then bam, I was like seriously, I hate you. The twists she put in this book are so sneaky you truly don't see them coming. This book and the series is awesome and you don't want to miss reading

Amazing
Between Worlds was a great sequel in The Everlasting Fire series. I really enjoyed how this was written and I felt she did a great job taking us through the years and building up to what will lead us to the third and final book. I loved it. This book made me laugh, cry, root for the unexpected, and then cry some more.

Epic!
I love SJ West's writing! The characters are so well developed,and the continuity between all of the series she's written involving them is flawless, yet she manages to keep you hooked and wanting more with every book! I'm gonna feel like I lost a dear friend when the end of the story for these characters comes!

Amazing!
I love how this story revolves around the kids as they grow up. In this book you will see how Liana, Liam and Cal grow into adults and the paths they take to get there. There will be lots of surprises and twists along the way that you won't want to miss. I can't wait for the next book in the series

Very entertaining
Liana seems to have drawn the short stick. She is an amazingly strong character. I really love the way we were able to go along with Liam, Liana and call as the grow. This really made me love each one of them. It was a fast moving storyline. Never disappointed. Can't wait to read what happens next with Helena and Cal.

Oh okay
I was so glad to know I wouldn't miss much of the children growing up...I didn't want to miss Cal coming into his own! I'm pleased with the way this book informed me of all the things I felt I would miss after reading book one so thanks for that!!! I'm looking forward to finishing this series and going all the way back to the beginning since I started with Anna.

I recommend this book to everyone. This one pulls at you. I'm glad to be reading from the kids point of view as well as the adults. It's amazing how they've grown. I can't wait for the next book

Wow!! Great 2nd book! Didn't even imagine that would happen. Cal is such a sweet boy and Liana she tried to stay strong. I loved the P.O.V. of the characters in S.J.'s books because it gives you another look. Cannot wait to read the next book!!

I've followed the story from the beginning now to the last book and feel sad as I've been on this journey with each character and don't want it to end. Wonderfully written great read.

The ending was unexpected kinda gives you hope. I enjoy reading all of SJ’s books. I love her imagination and ability to transport us to other worlds. I also enjoy seeing all the characters I come to love grow before my eyes. Well done

Angels, demons, oh my
I love seeing the next generation of watcher and war angel children grow. This book really ties a lot of things together and brings new and old characters almost full circle. Excited to keep reading about this amazing world that SJ West has created!
