Isis Raine’s hostile encounter with the Black Disciples Motorcycle Club proved there was another unpleasant plane separating humans from actual Hell, governed by racist outlaw bikers. Their Acting-President was Roman Stark, who hadn’t met a woman yet that could make his blood pump faster than riding his Harley with the wind whispering in his ears. He certainly didn’t intend on giving his heart to a mixed breed, gun-toting, and impossible to bully woman like Isis. Hell has no fury like a woman who’s being threatened and told what to do with what was rightfully hers. The BDMC would do anything and everything to make the Raines vacate Cadence. Isis would do anything to make them leave first, including opening the door to a cold hate-crime and missing persons case that may not just take the motorcycle club down, but everyone around them. ***Warning*** 1. Racial epithets are used. 2. Wasn't supposed to be a romance, but gravitated there anyway-because I love romance-therefore sexually explicit scenes. 3. Standalone novel
This story was soooo good. If not for all of the typo's and missing and added words. I'm done places it was just ridiculous. A good editing job and this book would be a winner
This story was a little short for my own taste where the whole story and everyone involve fell in love within 3 days, it was still perfect and although I may be very partial because I am an interracial, badass, alpha, mc gang racist reader where the racist white male changes his tune and become the sweetest teddy bear there is, I do believe it does deserve a 5 (even though I have rated it a 4) and huge recommendation for others to read this author. This was my first time reading this author and I don't think it will be the last time. The story was very enlightening and even though I do pride myself as into how I know certain facts regarding Racism, I loved how the author had a full chapter rundown on educating the reader on how both parties, the racist and the other receiving it, had a full education session going on. I thought that was the highlight of this book. Finally, I love how this author made the heroine as a badass, gun handler, sharp shooter, and perfect for the MC hero but I thought their intimacy was lacking big time. The romance part was probably the downfall of this book, but it was fine to pass it since there was other benefit to get from.
Definitely NOT your typical Father and sons relationship!
For generations the Stark men, founders of the BDMC have been fueled by hate for one another and others for generations it seems. But one Stark man had enough of the MC not being successful, in forever and of the hate. The Raines women came to handle family affairs and deal the MC and their hate and bigotry. Just so happens Roman takes a liking to one and together they both handle the MC. Yeah I'm digging it!
