3.5* rounded up for pure creepiness factor! 🙈
Well! Where do I even start?! If you need a dose of extra creepiness in your thrillers then this is the book for you! Honestly, I’m not sure how to describe this one! Or for that matter, how I even feel about it. Ha!
Sophie is a single mother raising two daughters while working full time with an agency providing home-health to the elderly. When Sophie meets her newest patient Ivy, she’s immediately smitten by her son Max. Could he be the man of her dreams? Or will he turn out to be what nightmares are made of!
I can’t go into more detail without giving anything away...sorry!
Part of me disliked the characters so much I really didn’t think I’d get through this book. But, on the other hand, I was so enthralled with the story-line. Or should I say antics, which actually made it hard to put down.
I didn’t want to like it...yet strangely did! I’m rounding my rating up instead of down just for the fact that I keep thinking about this one!
Would I recommend it? A definite maybe?!
Thank you to NetGalley, Bloodhound Books and Kerena Swan for an ARC to read in exchange for an honest review.

5☆ A Compulsive Read, I couldn't put down!
Dying To See You is a Psychological Thriller that will get under your skin.
The idea of someone staking you and befriending you without you knowing gives me the chills! I Loved It!!
Sophie lives alone with her 2 daughters
Tilly the eldest and Mia the youngest and
Welly the cat.
Sophie has a feeling she is being watched
Maybe she is paranoid!
Or maybe she isn't - as lurking in the shadows is indeed someone watching her every move!
Max is a killer!
We first meet him after he murders and suffocates a young lady during sex. He is an estate agent and has the perfect job to conceal the bodies of his victims. He is using wells under people's houses.
Max is the one who is obsessed with Sophie,
Stalking her for a few months.
Watching her every move, at the bus stop opposite her house, to watching her from the Café opposite her work.
He made my skin crawl. He came across as a gentleman gaining Sophie's trust all the while watching, waiting and planning.
I thoroughly enjoyed this Compulsive Read.
It was perfectly paced for this chilling psychological thriller.
Kerena created well thought-out characters and a twisting plot that instantly drew me in. In places it was certainly unnerving which in turn created the perfect amount of suspense.
Although the reader was treated to the identity of the killer very early on in the book it didn't stop the story from creating an unsettling, Dark and disturbing feel.
The very idea of being watched without seeing who is watching you gave me chills.
At times it was all a little too real!
I can't recommend this book enough.
If you enjoy fast paced psychological thrillers that will get under your skin then you will definitely want to be picking up this book!
Thank you to Bloodhound Books for this copy which I reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This has to be one of the best physiological thrillers that I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.
So many twists and turns that I couldn't bring myself to hit the pause button on this audiobook.
If you love a good thriller then this story might be the one for you. I really enjoyed this story and I will be looking for other books from this author.

3.25 Stars* (rounded down)
“Dying to See You” by Kerena Swan has a sinister feel to it right from the start. It’s spooky and hair-raising and it will keep you entertained.
Sophie is a single mum who works for a care organization. Both she and her teenage daughter Tilly, feel like they are being watched. Two people can’t be imagining the same thing, can they?
Through her job, Sophie meets Ivy and Ivy’s grandson Max. Ivy needs a carer, thus Sophie is happy to step in. Max and Sophie immediately feel a connection - and Sophie knows its unethical but she can’t help herself as she has never met a good man and Max just seems so perfect. Little does she know that something is not quite right.
Things happen here. Bad things. Spooky things. Your attention will not wane. Of this, I assure you. Have at it friends.
“Dying to See You” is a psychological suspense novel that will keep you on your toes. It is not your typical mystery suspense, and for that, I must give it kudos!
This was a Sister Read with Kaceey! We had a blast reading this one together as it was completely unexpected. Thanks Ms. Kaceey!
Thank you to NetGalley, Bloodhound Books, and Kerena Swan for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

When I saw this book come up for request on NetGalley I immediately requested it because of the cover and then the blurb promised a stalker and for me that's book perfection. I love me a good stalker.
Sadly this book does NOT deliver. The book is being billed as "a dark and deadly psychological thriller " but there are no thrills or chills to be found here.
The first chapter was excellent and I was so excited to keep reading but sadly any excitement I had waned after that first chapter. While it does start as a stalker story it evolves into something much different. Something I didn't care for. Maybe it's just me.
I'm not even going to go into the plot because it's completely absurd. You'll have to read it for yourself - My apologies, I assure you.

Sophie is a caregiver for elderly Ivy. While caring for Ivy, Sophie meets Max, Ivy's grandson. He is charismatic, has a great smile, and seems really attracted to Sophie.
Ivy is not too happy about Max showing so much interest in Sophie.
Sophie thinks she has a stalker. She always feels that someone is watching her. It doesn't help that someone is murdering young woman in the area.
As she becomes much more frightened, Max cuts ties with his grandmother and leaves Sophie on her own, much to her dismay.
Is she being stalked by a killer? Or is there something else sinister happening in her life?
The chapters alternate between four different characters. There were times it wasn't exactly who was speaking and the continuity was a bit sparse. This was an okay read, but not very thrilling and not very suspenseful.
Many thanks to the author / Bloodhound Books / Netgalley for digital copy of DYING TO SEE YOU. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

I have to say that this book held some nice surprises as it didn’t go quite how I expected.
Sophie is a single mum to two girls, Tilly and Mia. I loved this family. All the characters you really warm to and what is going on in their lives affects you also. You are really routing for them through out.
Max and Ivy it is hard to say too much about them without giving a lot of the story away and wouldn’t want to spoil it for anyone but believe me, you won’t be disappointed!
Dying To See You is a story that I think will take a lot of readers by surprise, it certainly did me. The author grips you from the start and keeps you there until the very last page. The suspense and tension builds throughout to a finale that I thought was extremely fitting. I also like how the author wraps everything up nicely so there are no unanswered questions. I really can’t believe that this is the authors debut novel. Her writing is confident of someone with years of experience. Really looking forward to reading more by the author.
My thanks to Bloodhound Books and NetGalley for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.

Thank you Netgalley for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
This book is fast-paced, creepy and filled with dark corners (literally). I think I usually go for more psychological thrillers with the emphasis on the psychological and less on the thrillers. This for me borderlines with horror at times. The chase for answers is out there - keep reading.
I won't say more. But if you, for example, are the kind of person who likes dark autumn evenings where every leave that rustles makes you jump, also subsequently sending a stream of adrenaline through your bloodstream...making you look back...wait...look back again...excitement building, what's there...will it happen again...and again...then this book is for you.

I am pleasantly surprised by this book! After reading mixed reviews I started it some what apprehensive, the opening chapters immediately had me wanting to find out more. We meet Sophie who is a single mum to two girls and is struggling financially, I really empathised with Sophie and I liked her nature. We then meet max who is Ivy's grandson and he is introduced to Sophie who works for the care agency that is providing care for ivy, i was definitely not expecting the twist of the story line in this book we are led to believe max has a dark side and is stalking young girls but the real killer is hidden in plain site... I really enjoyed this book I'm so glad I gave it a chance after reading mixed reviews. I'd like to thank netgalley for my copy of this book I highly recommend it.

ALL the ⭐️s!!!!
I’ll be honest. The first 5 pages I just wasn’t sure if it was going to be for me...I was on the train and needed a read. OH MYLANTA this book was written for me! All the things I love..Twists! Crazies! Love interests! Stalkers!
The psychological thriller part of this book is on every page. What I thought this was about in the first few pages (creepy, stalker, omg she’s going to die) wasn’t even creepy compared to all the things that happened next. It got darker and darker and as much i wanted to hate Max, one of the main characters, I felt like a total psychopath for really liking him throughout the book. Omg I even thought “ok Mel, no more psychological thrillers for you you crazy girl!”
But after you read this book...tell me you didn’t think the same thing!
I always review a book with “OH that ending!” But this time, I need to say “Oh THAT everything between the beginning and end!”
I finished it in 24 hours because it had this psycho grip on me. I needed more. Edge of seat, ignore life’s daily chores, read while walking home from train kind of book!
I loved the main character Sophie and honestly wanted to be her friend. Or at least meet her at the pub for a drink. She’s a great mum (as they call her in the book) just trying to balance it all and I wanted to knock on her door and sit down with her and the girls for Shepard’s pie and pet their cat Welly.
Then you read the chapters from Max’s POV...you hate him, you like him, you have no idea what to 🤔 think. Read it and you will see what I mean!
I’m so excited for any new book the author puts out next! Bravo! Cheers! 10 stars across the board!
Thank you #Netgalley, the publisher and the author #KerenaSwan for my free ARC in exchange for my honest review.
My honest review: LOVED it...and still creeped out :) put this on your TBR for April 25 release date!!! ⭐️

This is a tricky one to review as I don’t want to spoil the story for you.
It starts out as one story and then it’s flipped on its head and you’re then led down a different path.
The consistent story is Sophie and her two children and the struggles she faces as a single mum. Sophie tries really hard to juggle work and home and then things start to improve in her life.
This is a gripping story and whilst at times it was a bit far fetched, I did enjoy it.

Sophie is a single mum to two girls. She keeps having that feeling that she is being watched and maybe followed. The bus stop across the road from her house has shadows and she can’t quite work out if it is her imagination or not. Max is an estate agent with an elderly mother. His mother although needing care is not quite what she seems and has her moments- in more ways than one could imagine. When Max meets Sophie and they take to each other their lives change, at least for one party. The other has even more secrets to keep. This is an interesting read. Some is written in the first party which took me a little while to get into, however once I did it kept me enthralled. You just know that something is going to happen and you might even think what. But was I right? I won’t spoil it. An enthralling read.

Happy Publication Day!Wow. What an amazing debut by this author. A brilliant story! Very impressed. I raced through this story as I was well and truely hooked! Devoured it. Well written, clever plot. A real page turner, jaw dropper and eye opener of a story.
From the start I was a bit unsure about Max’s character, very dodgy! But poor Sophie trying her best in life with her job, children and house I began to feel sorry for her. Ivy is one scary, unexpected character of an old woman too. The opening of this story just dagged me in…
A well desereved five stars from me and I look forward to more by this author in the future, with high expectations. I would highly recommend this story to you all! I enjoyed every minute of it.

I am more a lover of police/murder stories so a psychological thriller has to be a good one to impress me. And this debut novel certainly did not disappoint. Just when I was thinking I knew where the story was heading there was a wonderful twist (no spoilers here!) Let's just say we should all consider how our behaviour impacts on others and in turn affects their behaviour. and let you find out the rest for yourself.
So thank you to Bloodhound Books for sending this to me and thank you to Kerena for writing it - I enjoyed reading it and I hope you're already working on your second!

Dying To See you is the author's debut novel and what a cracking debut it is. Which follows the story of single parent Sophie who meets Max grandson of Ivy with only a hand full of characters to get involved with the author weaves a creepy story about relationships, love and obsession.
I must say this story so isn't what I thought it was going to be after reading the first chapter. This book a face paced read which is full of mystery, suspense and some twists and turns. We are made aware who the killer is at the start which certainly kept my attention wanting to know what was going to happen to next.
The characters are really well developed and it is written in way that you cannot help but get involved with them. With some... did they really do that moments. The story is nicely wrapped up and answered all the questions that you have been asking.
I loved the author's style of writing and I am looking forward to reading what Kerena has in store for us next. Fans of psychological thrillers are going to love it.
Thank you to Sarah Hardy for inviting me to take part in another fab tour

The characters are really well developed and it is written in way that you cannot help but get involved with them. With some... did they really do that moments. The story is nicely wrapped up and answered all the questions that you have been asking.
I loved the author's style of writing and I am looking forward to reading what Kerena has in store for us next. Fans of psychological thrillers are going to love it.
Thank you to Sarah Hardy for inviting me to take part in another fab tour

I loved this book, it was chilling in all the right places!!
It had twists and turns that I didn't expect and things I had guessed were wrong - I love that in a book as quite often there are books advertised as having twists that aren't really - well this one most certainly had them!
I really enjoyed the characters and thought that they were spot on for the story and it gave it an added edge for me. The writing style was very well suited to this genre and the setting, pace and plot were brilliant, they all combined to create a brilliant story that was full of suspense. This is the first book I have read by this author and I will certainly be looking out for her books in the future if this one is anything to go by!
Five stars from me, very highly recommended and a genuine pleasure to read!!

Wow ! if you like psychological thrillers which keep you on the edge of your seat then Dying To See You is a must read ! Sophie is a working single mum with two daughters trying to make ends meet. When she starts to care for Ivy she meets Max,Ivy's grandson who unbeknown to Sophie has been watching her from afar, but is Max the dangerous stalker you may think he is, or does he just want to look after Sophie and her family ? When women start to go missing the police become involved and Max is under suspicion from all sides but is it Max they should be looking at ?This is a superb book by Kerena Swan with a great ending which had me guessing which way it would end ! If you enjoy this genre of book you will not be disappointed.A 5 star read without a doubt.

What a book
He's watching
He's waiting
She's next
This is a stomach clenching read, with the whole stalker perspective.
A sense of dread follows you from page to page.
The suspence is extremely well timed, and the tension throughout the book, kept me on the edge of my seat.
With a hint of trepidation and unease that follows chapter after chapter.
I especially felt for Sophie who was doing all she could to help her family while holding down a job, making the most of all she had.
A clever psychological suspenseful read, with an interesting set of characters that are believable and relatable.
An enjoyable chilling read is found within Dying To See You, with a killer out there, I didn't know if any of the characters were truly safe.
Highly recommended 5 star read
Thank you to Netgalley and Bloodhound books for an advanced reader copy, all thoughts on the review are my own.
