Wth was this book? It looks like it’s a draft or it was written in a hurry. It needs some serious editing! I honestly don’t know why I had this downloaded but I decided to give it a try and from the beginning I just was it wasn’t going to be good.
Brock was 42yo and acted like a teenager. His inner monologue was sooo childish and weird! There’s no strength in this character, it was not well developed.
Amy was the same, always telling people she’s smart but being scammed by her stepmother which showed clear signs of what she was going to do.
Also, the random info thrown in the story, stuff that didn’t matter or it was completely irrelevant to the story. It just didn’t make sense. None of it. I hate giving bad reviews but I just had to express myself. Definitely a waste of time.

This book would have benefited by some decent editing: spelling, grammar and story continuity.
It was all over the place.
The Hero - Brock aged 2 years in a few days from 40 - 42 , the heroine's best friend Jane's hair colour changed from golden blonde to dark to red in a few pages. Let's not forget the final scenes where Amy Lynn goes to Brock with the intention of seducing him ( after saying she was through) without underwear and then halfway down the page underwear and then no underwear I was WTF. During the same meet up Brock apologized for not using a condom where early on in the book where they are first hooking up Amy tells him she is on the pill, then she's pregnant - I know you can get pregnant no matter what measures you take but it was all over the place no consistency . It also left one with the impression that she had seduced him because she was pregnant. errg
There was more -stuff that drives you the reader crazy and can be fixed by the writer actually reading what they write.
The heroine Amy Lynn ( dear god) was supposed to be super smart - finishing high school at 14 but couldn't see what was going on right under her nose even though it was sooooo obvious.
Brock was not much better waxing hot and cold with the h impulsively acting on advice/ opinion of others with no thought.
One of those books where I kept looking to see how much more I had to read before it finished and skipping a page here and there.

5 Star Trifecta
A gem of a book for me, a younger woman/older man, firefighter and a HEA. I am a happy reader tonight after finishing this book by Kristen Kelly. I was literally pulled in on page one and literally devoured this well written book about Amy, a 22 year old woman sometime student/sometime cocktail waitress, and Brock, a 42 year old Chief of the Intercourse Fire Department. It deserves a markdown for editing errors, but I cannot bring myself to detract from the exceptional storyline. The chemistry between the main characters was sizzling and I am almost embarrassed to say I caught myself breathing heavily during their first sexual encounter. There’s humor, heartache and tears, something for everyone. I highly recommend this for your reading pleasure as Ms. Kelly teaches us that good things come in small packages and true love knows no age restrictions.

Great book
I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the characters. This was a non-stop read for me. With the fires in California right now this story really hits home and I'm certain everyone hopes good things happen for those who have lost their homes and prayers for all the firefighters. This book has it all action, adventure, hot alpha male,strong independent female, romance, even a wicked stepmother. Get this today this is one Cinderella story you won't want to miss.

Pikeman an older firefighter finds Amy a younger woman hiding under his desk. Amy knows what she wants and it is Pikeman. She has always worked hard for what she wants and set goals for herself and is very mature for herself. Pikeman is very attracted to Amy but will he let his attraction win over and let him fall for a younger woman. It is a great story with more depth to it than just romance.

Hot chief smart young lady
I am not certain I have ever heard of Amish in Texas. Which may be a mild plot deviation. The rest of the story is OK. I enjoyed most the parts with the Fire Chief and his Sweet young thing. I did find some of the story was a little repetitive and it kinda jumped about a bit too much. But the story itself was good. The editor could have also have caught a few grammar and plot mistakes, but the story overall is good.

Amy and Brock were good together, their May-December love beautiful. However when Brock's friend puts ideas into his head which are unfounded, could he lose the woman he has become attached to?
Apart from a few spelling mistakes and one minor scene inconsistency, this was an easy read.

Amy and Brocks story is well written, entertaining, steamy, and engaging. I was captivated and intrigued throughout with this great page turner. I look forward to reading more of this author’ work, and recommend for all readers.

A very well written fast paced hot and steamy story with nice storyline and plot. It is of a nice length and enjoyable.
The characters are well described and develops well. Some editing would have been nice because of some obvious dissimilarities but apart from that it is captivating and has a lot of steam and emotions in it.

Holman did I love this book. The only part I did not like was I felt something was off. When Garcia was taking Amy on dates I thought he was supposed to be fighting a forest fire. Other than that, I need to find me a hot firefighter.

This is a great Bad Boy Romance. The storyline is well-written, steamy, engaging, entertaining with characters who are strong individuals, likable and relatable. I liked it. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

This was a nice story, the characters were likeable, it had a good start and a lovely ending but I did skip quite a few times as the sex was very repetitive, well worth reading though 😊

This was an older man/younger woman romance featuring a sexy hot fire chief and a young virgin who wants Brock. Amy Lynn is sassy and brave enough to go after what she wants, despite the consequences. Good steamy hot read.

This is a well-written story with a fast-paced storyline.
The characters are incredibly likable, there is some danger and intrigue that kept the story entertaining.
