What an absolutely awesome quick story this was . I really enjoyed reading Tilly the cupcake baker who has a heart as big as Texas and warwick the police officer who she had a run in with that very morning but at the time didn't know he was a cop. Throw in a nasty town gossip hell bent on bringing Tilly down and soon with the help of said police officer a mystery is solved . Really enjoyed this short story by Beth Prentice.

I really enjoyed this short story, loved the characters and how it turn out, I'm looking for more by this Author, I highly recommend reading this.

I really enjoyed this short story, loved the characters and how it turn out, I'm looking for more by this Author, I highly recommend reading this.

I love Ms Prentice's stories. Her characters are witty - with a little bit of sass thrown in - and the writing is clever and fast paced. She can spin a story so well, building the suspense; teasing out the romance; and the whodunnit only reveals itself in the last few pages. There is always a hunk or two for the reader to drool over, and a heroine that we can all relate to is some way.
Beth Prentice is a definite go to author for me.

A delightful story about a bakery owner and trouble with a cupcake sale. When a cupcake is returned because of a toenail planted in the frosting, police are involved.
Great characters including Tilly, Senior Constable Barnes, and a trio of women, one who was the recipient of the toenail cupcake.
The book is really a prequel to the author's book "Matilda's Wish" published a few years ago. If you haven't read that book yet, you won't want to miss her further adventures!

Another fabulous story by the awesome Beth Prentece. How can running a cake shop cause trouble? Easily with the charismatic Tilly. This book drew me in from the beginning to the end. The characters were fabulous and you could see their personalities come out on every page. Very well written. Love this author, the books can be read as YA as well... it's refreshing to read a great story.
