Wow. I don’t usually one star books but this one was rough.

I don’t know why I continued reading this book. After about 15% I realized it wasn’t great and didn’t have much of a story but I stuck it out hoping for it to get better. It doesn't.

First, the writing isn’t great, nor is the story, or the characters. All of the characters are very flat, they barely showed emotion. The only time we got reactions was with with sex. This book basically was just sex, with a crappy story thrown overtop of it to make it a book.

Secondly, Sarah-Jane was annoying. So her boyfriend cheated on her but she leaves her own apartment instead of making him leave. She moves to a new town but continues to pay for that apartment. What the hell is wrong with her. Also this lady is supposed to be a lawyer so you would expect her to be pretty smart. She gets locked out of the house during a snowstorm and instead of waiting for the two guys she just goes looking for them, in a robe! Then she almost dies of hypothermia (AGAIN) and the guys just stand there chatting away. It is things like this that annoyed me so much and made me want to throw something.

Also the way these three met and started having sex was so unbelievable it was ridiculous. Her car broke down, she almost froze to death, she was rescued by two dudes who she immediately started banging. It would have been more realistic if she had you know recovered from hypothermia, and actually talked to the guys. She didn’t even know their names!!! I have read some pretty far fetched stories but this one was just ridiculous.

Overall, I cannot recommend this book and I will not read any other of this author's books.

Some good parts, but couldn’t relate to Sarah-Jane…too ditzy
Sarah-Jane is a lawyer who is moving to another town to get away from her cheating boyfriend and her former BFF with whom he is cheating! Her new home is in the mountains and on the way, she encounters a bad snow storm in which her car gets stuck. While she continues to get colder and colder sitting in her stalled car, she thinks she sees some very strange things…hairy men picking up her car??
Thus, begins the story of Sarah-Jane, Jackson and Leo, her two wolves. The most pronounced part of the story is Sarah-Jane’s stupidity, innocence or lack of common sense, in my mind. Can’t tell you the circumstances without spoilers but she had me yelling at her to put it together, do something! How can a person who finished law school and took the Bar be this irrational?! The love scenes were not erotic (for readers who worry about that) and never M/M blatant other than a few shared kisses.
I kept reading to see if the bad guy got his comeuppance. It started out good and it is well-written, but I still could only give this book 3.5. I loved Mr. Cole’s last book so this was a little disappointing. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book.

When Sarah-Jane catches her boyfriend cheating with her best friend, she leaves and travels up a snowy mountain to escape and start over. Sarah-Jane gets stuck in the snow and is rescued by Luke and Jackson, two bikers that live on the mountain. When they take her back to their house, Sarah-Jane wonders about the relationship between the men and soon finds they are a couple and want her to join them. Sarah-Jane thinks she is moving to a new town and starting over so she should have a bit of an adventure with the men beforehand. When they sees her again in town, she is working as a lawyer and learns about the men's reputation of not being very law abiding. When Sarah-Jane gets to know the men, she realizes there is more to the story and vows to help them. She also learns they have a big secret that can change her feelings for them. I liked this story, it had a few twists and turns. I liked how Sarah-Jane and the men had an instant connection and how the men loved each other and welcomed her into a relationship from the start. Good one.

Not Worth Your Time

Let me start out with something my mom believed in “ If you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all”. In this review I can’t honor my mom. This is the first book I have read by this author (and my last). I am not a writer or a professional- I am a 61 yo grandmother who absolutely LOVES this genre in all its forms. I could barely complete this book. I had the most problem with the way the main character met and formed an immediate sexual encounter with Leo and Jackson after almost freezing to death on the mountain. Completely unbelievable!! I found many unbelievable situations and a lack of any real and deep feelings for each other.

Sarah-Jane is a lawyer who is still very naive about the world and herself. She lets everyone she meets run roughshod over her, including her best friend and ex. Jackson and Leo are targeted by small minded people who despise and fear them because they are different. Some odd,old language used in several descriptions. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

It was good. Would have wanted to see what happened to the town's Clayton loses everything to Leo. Also a better ending involving Jackson, Leo, and Sarah.
