It's unbelievable how this rewrite from the men's pov brings out more of Charlotte's past. Plus we see the agony she's living with for re-living it because of the nightmares poor Charlotte is having. We are able to also see what a terrible and abusive childhood poor Charlotte lived through in this re-write by reading her nightmares.

As much as I loved the "Buying the Virgin" series, reading this re-write that incorporates the men's pov along with Charlotte's nightmares I get, we get, a better insight to the story and it allows us to love Charlotte even more. I love James and Michael; I really love James' turn around and how he and Michael show her that no matter what they have her back; will always love and take care of her.

This is a must read ladies even if you read the first series, the first version. Mastering the Virgin from the men's pov is a real eye opener.

While the greater part of this book is from James POV and happenings in the present we are also treated to a great deal of the past.
Here we learn about not only Charlotte's horrid upbringing in the children's home but also some of the people who had power over her previously and their desires for the future. Charlotte's having nightmares but is still willing to testify if she can to stop these criminals only to find they are coming after James triggering her protective instincts to the max.
Probably the best book in the series so far answering so many of our questions.
You have to love Simone Leigh and the way she pictures the events in your mind they are so well described. Very powerful imagery!

Part of a long series

This is the first book I read and immediately I noticed it is part of a series - a long series as I’ve researched. So there are missing pieces that slowly are revealed as the transition from past to present and so forth. Once the full understanding presents itself it is easier to follow the storyline. Plus it helps when reading from the various characters perspectives. Charlotte aka Jennifer is an orphan who has been badly mistreated in a children’s home but there is an ulterior motive to her life as you start reading. As a grown woman she still battles nightmares and she has two men willing to help her. However the plot keeps thickening as other suspicious acts come forward. Very intriguing story.

This is a continuation of an interesting story of a Dom, his lover and her fiancé. Charlotte has a past that haunts her but it catching up to her and her lovers. James is her Master and her protector on many levels. Michael is building a home for her as his wife but he's having issues James wants to help with.
Theirs is loving relationship that seems to be on the verge of chaos showing up on their doorsteps.
Good read with heat and mystery.
Have to fill in the blanks with other books in this series...

Charlotte has returned to school. They had celebrated a new beginning thinking the past had been brought to light and was behind them. What little they knew!! More and more backstory from Blessingmoors Children's Home comes into play with book 13 of "Mastering the Virgin". Shadows from the past have long fingers.
Simone Leigh continues to take her readers through a maze of emotional twists and turns that have tied together so beautifully to keep this entire series flowing perfectly. Once again, I'm left mesmerized at her talent and wanting more.

A sexy reaf

This is the first Simone Leigh book I have read, and I have joined the story mid way through, but it doesn't matter.
The sexy times with Charlotte, James and Michael are really hot.
I found the flashbacks a little confusing at first, but soon found myself entirely involved in the story.
Can't wait to enjoy the rest of the story

As a stand-alone book it is only hinting at substance. It made more sense after finding out that is part of a series but the length of the story said serial to me. It’s well written but felt like a TV episode which is not what I am looking for in a book. But it could be exactly what someone else is looking for.

Mesmerized

This is a must read collection! I stumbled on it, it was free at time. I ended up loving the collection. Just sorry I am at a stand still. Disability does not allow spending money on frivolous things. A must read. You will hopefully embrace each character and be unable to put down as I have been.
