My name is Moira, and I just saved my sister Dana from a lifetime of magical slavery. Thank the gods, we're together again. But most of my work remains undone. For over twenty years, my mom Nora has been enslaved, too. She was forced to bear children for a monster who deserves the worst punishment possible. The oldest of his children, Dana, is now free, but our youngest sister, Cara, is being forced to fight as a gladiator. With the help of the gods, I'm determined to win Nora's and Cara's freedom, or die trying.
Michael Arches moved to the Denver, Colorado area in the early 1980’s, and he has never left. Before coming to Denver, he had lived in eight different places, but he and his wife settled down in Colorado and raised their family here. The natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains attracted him here in the first place, and he’s still finding precious jewels in them there hills to write about.
This book nicely ties up Moira's quest. While it is a constant struggle for her to become stronger, more centered and to find the rest of her family, it is worth it and she meets some great people along the way. There was one really sad point and I actually cried a little, which I rarely do when reading fiction.
I am really looking the next book in this world. For example, what is When's story? And, will Frank and Ginger overcome their issues now they have each other and went through a tough experience together?
One small thing to fix: it is espresso, not expresso. Though, who knows, maybe Moira is more expressive after drinking espresso? :-D
This review is not just for book 5 but for the entire series. It is not a stand alone book, you need to pick up book 1 ( kindle unlimited) to really enjoy the whole storyline. No spoilers but my heading says it . Get the series and enjoy.
I cannot say enough about this series. I want more but will have to settle for another of this outstanding authors series. I'm looking forward to another adventure!
