Billionaire Max Hamilton thought he was finally starting to find contentment, more than two years after losing his wife Mia in a tragic drowning accident.
He'd been reunited with a sister he hadn’t realized existed. Finally he had family again, a reprieve from the pain and loneliness that had haunted him since his devastating loss. Yeah…he was as happy as a man could be, considering he had lost the other half of his soul and most of his heart when fate had torn his wife away from him.
Or so he believed…until the day he rescued a mysterious woman in the park, a female who somehow had managed to reignite a part of him that he thought was long dead... Suddenly, Max's protective, dominant, possessive male instincts flare to life, leaving him at a loss as to how lightning could possibly strike twice in one lifetime. Is he truly being given another chance at real happiness, or would it be dangled in front of him, only to be taken away once again?

J.S. Scott is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of contemporary and paranormal romance. She's an avid reader of all types of books and literature. Writing what she loves to read, J.S. Scott writes both contemporary erotic romance stories and paranormal romance erotics. They almost always feature an Alpha Male and have a happily ever after because she just can't seem to write them any other way! She lives in the beautiful Rocky Mountains with her husband and two very spoiled German Shepherds.
I could not wait for this book since I have LOVED the other stories in this series. I had marked the release of this book on my calendar months ago. Unfortunately, this book was awful. Don't get me wrong, Ms. Scott is a fantastic author which is why I am shocked at how disappointing this story was to read. Max's wife disappeared 2 years ago and he has never stopped mourning her lose. Max is extremely wealthy and so was his wife. She reappears out of the blue and we discover that she had faked her death to escape a psychotic ex. It turns out she was living at her grandparent's ranch in Montana the whole time. Even Max who had used every resource to try to find her couldn't. Does this seem ridiculous to anyone else?? Then we find out that one of her brothers actually helped her disappear and knew where she was the whole time while Max was suffering over losing her. How can someone very wealthy not be able to protect herself from a crazy man who has no significant resources at his disposal to use hurt you? Furthermore, Max is also very wealthy, so their combined wealth could have protected her from one man. And lets not forget that both of her brothers are rich as well. But wait the madness is not over yet bc we find out that both Max and the h felt they had to put on a facade with each other while they were first married. For example, Max was very possessive so in order to control this he would go away on long business trips. The h would get waxed and not curse bc she felt that was what the H wanted. This absolutely did not make any sense. Also, the h is described as having grown up in an abusive environment and then dated an abusive man for a year. How is she a smiling carefree individual that loves joking and taking risks? Shouldn't she be the opposite? Anyway, once everything is out in the open the h leaves again and Max chases after her. I forced myself to finish this story even though I came close to abandoning many many times. On the plus side, it was nice to see how Sam and Simon were doing. But I was really excited about Kade and Travis and hope they get their own stories. I don't want this story to be the end of the series. Fortunately, at the end of the story I saw two more additions coming so this series is not over yet.

Ooo craps, just when u THOUGHT IT COULDN'T GET ANY BETTER!! This story had me laughing, crying, and feeling bad for Mia and Max. They show u what real love is and that even death can't stop it. FAN-Freaking-Tastic story.
Max is a man of perfection but when around Mia all sanity goes out the window. His love for her is so powerful. He binds out she was killed and his soul is ripped out. A few years later she shows up out of nowhere but has no memory.
Mia is so in love with Max that she will even disappear to keep him safe. That is just what she does causing all that love and care about her to think she is dead. MIA believes that is the best way to keep those she loves be a safe from a crazy man from her past.
This is a must read. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I loved Mia and Max in this story. They really make u want to believe in that soul deep love. Thanks Jan for a amazing story.
Max Hamilton lost his wife Mia a couple years ago, but he hasn't declared her dead not unless he has proof. While at a picnic with family and friends, he glances up and catches sight of Mia, looking at them. He chases after her, but she falls trying to run away and hits her head. Ends up with amnesia, no memory of the last two years that she has been missing. Max is full hope and grateful for this second chance with his wife. That doesn't last once Mia regains her memory and she is once again on the run to protect the people she loves from an insane man. But what Mia doesn't know is that there is no longer a threat. Now Max has to chase her down, bring her back and tell her. And of course he is never letting her go again.
What another great book by J.S. Scott. About lost love being found again and giving a second chance at a future together. It was sweet, romantic, HOT, passionate and fun. I absolutely loved it, and I can not wait to read Travis' book and Kade's book.
I listened to the audio for this one and I couldn't stop ..which helped my house cleaning a lot. I was blown away by the total dedicated hero Max. Completely devoted to his wife even after he thinks she's dead. Celibate heroes are a total turn on for me and devoted and loyal are so important and rare at times. Max and Mia were so in love even if they both were holding back on how strong their feelings were. To see them strip down the walls and let their true passions burn was beyond beautiful and scorching hot. I just can't get enough of his this author creates heroes who are gone for and totally loyal always. I see me getting lost in so many more reads by this author.
A new story from one of my favourite authors. Plus what's really great it's a longer length than usual. This time we meet Max Hamilton, who briefly appeared in the last book about Sam and Maddie. Max is Maddie's long lost brother. He and Maddie have only recently been reunited. But have become very close. Maddie worrys about Max, he seems so lonely. Maddie has tried to fix him up with several different women. But Max has lost the only woman he ever loved two years ago. There will never be anyone else for him. Then while at a family barbeque in the park. He spots a woman who steals his breath away.
Once again this author has penned a great romance. With great characters who are easy to like. Loved the chance to catchup with characters from the previous books as well. This is more dramatic and emotional than the author's other books. But we still get what she's best at IMO. Really great sex scenes. Loved this story, and can't wait for more.
I hadn't read a book by J.S. Scott in a while and I realized why. I was initially excited to read this book because of the blurb and reviews, but after I started reading, many excitement went downhill. The dialogue between the characters was awkward and the sexy scenes were not hot, but clinical and uninteresting. It got to the point that, at the end, I didn't really care what happened to the characters.
Good read. This is the story of Max and Mia. The story starts out strong and angsty with a heartbroken Max experiencing the possibility of death of his missing wife. 2 Years later, he hasn't moved on and lives with her memories, when he sees her across the park. The subsequent chase leads to an accident that causes retrograde amnesia- she recovers her memories but forgets what happened in the past 2 years. Slowly it returns and secrets are revealed. As the story progressed, it lost its charm for me. Both were crazy about each other, but despite it both hid behind fake personas- until they reunite. I ADORED MAX but tbh Mia sounded amazing- but in the end disappointed me. The mystery reveal was disappointing and tbh I was really angry about about the unsafety Hope Kade and Travis fare better. Unsafe/ SWE 3/5
I am a hopeless fan girl of author J.S. (Jan) Scott and I am crazy about her Billionaires! Simon, Sam, and her latest release Billionaire's Obsession, The story of Max and Mia. Jan's stories, whether they are contemporary romances or paranormal are always emotional and omg, sizzling. I love the fact that you can pick up one of her books and it can stand alone, although if you read the whole series it will introduce you to the rest of the wonderful characters . I really enjoyed Max, it was wonderful catching up with the Billioaire gang! I am looking forward to the next sexy Alpha Billionaire. I am hoping for Kade! Max was worth the wait Jan! I loved it!
Good lord this book was lame. Story was so far fetched. Characters were annoying, how many times does Max need to say "you're mine" and Mia say "fuck me" (great romance there). Did anyone think it was stupid that at the very end of the story they both discover each other's tattoos? Um you guys were naked & having sex a few times before did you just not notice them?? Was so glad when the book was over. I liked Sam & Simon's stories but sorry Max's story was terrible. Think I'm done with this series.
J.S. Scott did it again, another amazing read. Max and Mia, were only married for a short period of time, when she disappeared on the beach. Max is a sexy, lovable billionaire, who could not bring himself to have her declared dead, even after a period of over two years. He lives a lonely and sad life, even when he is surrounded by his friends. On a trip to the park with his friends, he thinks that he spots Mia in the crowd. How can it be, the love of his life has been gone for so long? Is it her? I am not going to spoil it for anyone, so you will just have to read the book to find out. I enjoyed that we got to see more of Simon, Kara, Sam, and Maddie from the previous books in the series. Also, I enjoyed meeting Kade and Travis, Mia's brothers, who I a really looking forward to reading more about. Each book in this series, leaves me wondering how can the next one possibly be as good, but I have not been disappointed yet.
I really enjoyed this story. Max loved his wife Mia with all his heart. When she disappeared, and authorities feared she was dead, Max never gave up hope of finding his wife. He never took his wedding band off in two years. Never even thought about looking at another lady, much less dating one. I don't want to give away too much information and spoil the book. It had great suspense, twist and turns. The emotions in the story were strong. It was a sweet love story.
Finally I read this! I loved Maxwell. His devotion, his love, his icy control, his possessiveness and his dominance. The pain and suffering he felt when Mia was lost was portrayed beautifully. Mia was sweet but brave, mature yet beautiful and loved Max with a fierceness and passion. Theirs was a crazy love story. Secondary characters and the way they uplifted the story was fantastic. Recommended.
This is such a lovely heartwarming story. Mia and max are both wonderful characters how demonstrate the power of true love. These two are a perfect fit and an adorable couple I was thrilled after all they went through they got their hea.
This story of Max and Mia will have you crying and cheering. Mia is persumed dead for 2 years Max will not move on. He still believes he is still married to Mia no matter what people say! Then at a party at the park he see's Mia. He chases her down and she falls and loses her memory of why she left Max. But when it comes back she remembers why. And old abusive boyfriend from college tracks her down after getting out of prison and threatens to kill Max. Travis, Mia's brother helped her to go into hiding till Danny is dead or back in prison. Max and her other brother Kade track her down and Travis tells them the whole story. Max finds Mia and tells her Danny is dead and now she is safe and can come home. He steals her heart again and love conquers all! Beautifully written. A must Read!
Max is a billionaire who is in turmoil over losing his wife, the woman he loves the minute he laid his eyes on her. Mia died two years ago, but Max just can not think her gone, and then the unthinkable happens... He see's her, and turns out it really is her, but she loses her memory and knows there is a reason she should remember the last 2 years of her life. Max and Mia are put to the test and when she leaves again Max is desperate to not let her go. He lets go of his control and shows Mia just who is in control. If you love hot steamy reads then this book is definitely made for you. J.S. Scott has a way with words and she never disappoints.
I have loved all the books in this series but I have to say this one was the BEST!! Don't get me wrong I love the "passionate" way she writes....:-P but I felt this one gave me a lot more of the true love and little less of the "fire"... I found the normalcy of this one quite refreshing! and i love that we get to check in on Simon\Kara (congrats on their baby girl) and Sam/Maddie (congrats on ur pregnancy)....I am looking forward to Travis and Kade's story...according to the end Kades should have came out in November but I can't seem to locate it????? Anyone know where or how to get that one????
I just love the way Max loves his Mia! while everything was a little too clean and wrap poured up in a nice little bow, this is what I have come to echo prefect from this author, so I can't get too upset about it. I love that Max never gave up on Mia and was unwilling to move on although others wanted him to. I loved that even though he was heart-broken when she left, he chased her down and fought for their love. I hope that just like with the past two story lines we get to be kept up to date on this couple through the next books.
The story of Sam & Maddie had my interest in the Billionaire's Obsession series - I am glad I didn't have to wait because this is my favorite of the series! Sam is the college love of Maddie before he became the rich dominating man he is today. A heartbreaking event had the separate, and they never got over each other. Sam knowing the reason why and Maddie hating him for it. So hot and I loved it!
Love this series. Max and Mia's story it a page turner, I could not put this book down. J.S Scott has a true talent of keeping you on the edge of your seat.
PUES NO, tampoco.
As I read Billionaire Undone - Travis first, I was curious about Max's story. I was a little disappointed though. I felt that Max went a little too easy on Mia, she did not even grovel much! And she put him through 2 years of grief and suffering all while she knew he was alive and well! Gosh, imagine the amount of pain Max was in. Of course it was within good reason, but she did not even grovel much!!!
The tattoos were a little confusing since they had sex so much throughout the book and yet only noticed each other's tattoos towards the end o.o ...Their interactions were a little repetitive as well, the whole "mine" and "fuck me" conversations. I thought the amnesia part was a little OTT but it is still a good read if you could get pass the kinks in the book. I loved Max and all his alpha-ness but this book fell a little flat for me.
I didn't highlight much but this is one excerpt that I loved.
Mia decided at that moment that there was nothing more mortifying than being bodily removed from a full aircraft. Luckily, she was near the front of the plane, but Max never stopped to let her down, even after they'd exited and were heading down the ramp and into the main airport. Exasperated, she said to his back, "What happened to counting to ten?"
"Took too long. You talked too much," he answered abruptly, moving toward the airport exit, drawing looks from the people they were passing that range from amusement to alarm.
Good addition to the Billionaire's series (although all you authors...we commoners would be just as happy with those slightly less rich millionaires (maybe they could be half-billionaires? 500 million is still a load of money!) being that there are only about 450 American billionaires!)
I'm always a sucker for an amnesia story line. I went into this book without even reading the blurb just knowing Max's story from previous books so when memory impaired Mia appeared, I might have done a small fist pump.
I did love how Max loved Mia and missed her so desperately. I kind of think he went a bit too easy on her though. For once the heroine needed to do some serious groveling and I kind of missed getting that.
There were a couple of confusing parts to me near the end - timeline, were the tattoos always there?, how did they get that car delivered to the boonies in Montana!?
Also felt there was a bit of repetitiveness with some of the inner dialogue.
But I did enjoy the story and will definitely continue to buy books in this series.
