Both Micah and Jordyn's lives are turned into a world wind romance. But when each of their past threatens to tear them apart, will their love for one another be strong enough to endure?
After passing up this book recommendation so long, I'm glad I finally downloaded it. Great storyline about Jordyn's chance at love after surviving an abusive relationship. I don't agree with how this new relationship started, but it gives hope for those struggling to trust and find love after abuse. Loved Jordyn's support system and how the women rode for each other. Looking forward to part 2 although I believe some serious drama is coming and I know who's responsible for it.
What a page turner!!! Jordyn is such a strong woman. I love how she didn't let what happened to her in her past get her down from moving forward to many blessings and overcoming all odds thrown her way. She's such a sweetheart and I absolutely love her and Micah for one another! He's such a gentleman. They both deserve the best which is each other!!!
I LIKE JORDYN CHARACTER SHE'S A GOOD STRONG YOUNG LADY AND YOU CAN TELL SHE MEANS WE'LL. I KNOW SAM IS BEHIND JASON ALL OF A SUDDEN POP UP MAYBE ANTHONY IS WORKING WITH HER TOO. I DON'T THINK JORDYN AND MICAH WILL HAVE A WAY RELATIONSHIP BUT O GUESS I'LL WAIT AND SEE GREAT READ GENESIS
This book was very interesting from beginning to the end. I love me some Micah. Him and Jordyn make the perfect couple. For some reason I felt like Jason was going to come out of no where. And I think Samantha has something to do with it.
This was a pretty good read... It definitely caught my attention and kept pulling me in... I liked the build up of the storyline... I did however, feel like the timeline was off some of the times and it also jumped in time a few time to where I had to realize that time had passed so the threw me off a free times... But the storyline was strong enough to not have these few things pull away from it to much... Jordyn now what can I sat about her... I really like her and the fact that she is super smart and has a great head on her shoulder and goes for what she wants... She can also stand her ground when someone is coming at her wrong yet she is the sweetest most loving person... I hate everything that she had to go through just to end up where she is today... I am glad that she was able to walk away from a domestic violence situation with her life... Becauae as we can see she almost did not make it... There are moments when I see her weakness and doubt began to show... at times like this I just want to hug her and help her build up that confidence again... Luckily she has her sister Jess and her beat friend Ashleigh... I do not know where Jordyn would be without them in her corner pushing her like they do... Now just when she thinks that she has finally found happiness with Micah, she finds out that just like she felt, it was to good to be true... but it was to late now because she was madly in love with him... but it looks like just when they were finally able to get over that obstacle, here comes Joedyn's past that is about to try to flip her world upside down... and the sad part is I thing that Micah's brother Anthony and his ex wife Samanthat have something to do with this... I like Micah he is a good man that just ended up with the wrong woman in the beginning... I mean I know that he did love his ex wife at one point in time because they got married and have a child together... But she messed that up in the worst way... But like a lot of women, she does not want to let go and really thinks that she actually can safe a marriage that has been over for 2 years... just when I think that age is starting to come around' here she goes pulling this... Then we have Micah's brother Anthony that I cant stand... I am like why is he all in Samantha's corner the way he is and treat Jordyn this way... I think them 2 had something going on... But I guess we will wait and see... I just hope that they get what they deserve when Karma comes around handing out those lovely gifts... Now with Jordyn and Micah having a great night except for the BS that Anthony was on... Now this... I hope Jordyn will be alright and I hope she can really live the happiness that she deserves... Now on to part 2 to see how it will all play out...
Jordyn is jaded by her horrific past, so much so that she has decided not to let anyone in. Too bad her defenses take a blow when she encounters Micah. Meeting was by chance, the connection was by coincidence. But their budding relationship was unexpected. Learn how Jordyn survives after the storm.
This is my 2nd series by this author. And I really had to check the date of publication to see if it was her first written. The storyline has a lot of potential but nothing of significance happens to drive the plot in this book. The beginning had me really captivated, but that slowly fizzled and I found myself struggling to finish this; not climatic at all by 95%, we didn't get a glimpse of 'the storm'. Even the end which was the most action I'd witnessed thus far was yawn-worthy. And I don't feel I'm exaggerating in the least. The author literally described mostly the day to day happenings of the hero and heroine. Example getting ready for work or to eat was given more detail than their actual coupling. Now, I'm use to steam from this author, but she did not describe any of those types of scenes like in her other work. Their encounters I'd call them, were vague and had less detail than every other event filler in the book. I'm not saying I need a sex-filled book, but this lacked actual conflict and if this was centered around gaining a love interest, I couldn't feel their chemistry at all through the words.
I do not know if I'll be continuing with book 2. The dragging out of everything they did in their day to day had me on the verge of skimming this book.
I don’t think that am going to be able to survive waiting on book two. This beginning of this book got into domestic violence and how people really get depressed and don’t trust getting into other relationships after being in abusive relationships. But it then showed how a person can fall in love again when they were treated with love and respect. I thought Jordyn and Micah would finally get their happy ending, but then Jason shows up. Uggh!!
No one should be in a relationship with anyone that's is abusive. Domestic violence is not ok for anyone, unfortunately everyone didn't have the support of just to scared to leave. I glad that Jordan had the support and family to move on with her life after so many years of abuse .DV is not ok ,whether your a male or female.
This is the second series I’ve read by this author and I’m really becoming a fan of her. This book has brought out so many emotions and is definitely great for a wine and cuddle night. I’m glad it shows how strong a person can be going through domestic violence and overcoming it. Anthony is a butt was and I hope something bad happens to him in the next book!
After the storm in Jordyn's life, she desserved but but kept second guessing herself. Love is such a beautiful thing when all the right intentions are there. It is sweet and charming and happy. This love was so beautiful between Jordyn and Micah that I knew the hate would be lurking in the background to try to undo what was perfect, the perfect storm.
This was a interesting read. The story dealt with abuse which is a topic many people deal with whether it be mentally, emotional, or physical there is help. I liked the support system that Jordyn had with her friend as well as her sister & brother-in-law. I also enjoyed some of the characters. I'm looking to read the next book to see what happens.
Really Jason shows up out of the blue, fir some reason I feel like Anthony and Samantha is in cohort. I just hope that whatever they gave up their sleeve Jordyn and Micah can get through it. Ash I’m glad she finally saw her worth, Dre will never change and Chris seems like he’s a really cool guy...
Amazing loved everything about this story. I can’t wait until part 2 to see what Micah will do once he sees Jason. Samantha has to stop being so vindictive, she is truly bitter. Jordyn has to start being secure in her relationship.
This is definitely a five star read. Micah and Jordyn sure have a lot to overcome to be happy. From dealing with Micah's petty brother to an ex wife who'd do bitter will their love survive? I sure hope so especially with that ending
The story of Jordyn James was a page turner! Glad to see she got over her past and found an amazing love. Looking forward to continuing to watch the story unfold as her ex has found her!. Great job Genesis!!
1st read by Genesis. I'm hoping Micah & Jordyn stay strong & make it thru the fiasco that has been created. Sam needs to move on... Good page-turning storyline dealing with realistic situations. Good read & I'm looking forward to next part.
This book was hella long, but great. Micah and Jordyn were perfect fit each other. I love how they connected and made it work. I was wondering when Jason was going to pop back up. Hopefully he doesn't kidnap her and Micah gets back in time. Great book.
Jordyn and Micah are great together, now the drama and outside obstacles begins. Something is really wrong with Anthony, besides jealousy. Jason shows up on the scene and Sam doesn’t want to let go. Let’s see if the couple came it through the brewing storm!
Man I can't believe this mess...Really jason??? Why can't they be happy and in love?? I have a feeling that Sam has something to do with this and maybe even Anthony jealous behind🤔🤔
Wow why do I think Samantha has something to do with Jason being back? I hope Jordyn tell Micah how disrespectful Anthony was to her. I'm wondering did Anthony and Sam sleep together?
This was a great read. It's crazy that in life you have to go through something to get to your happiness. If you are looking for a story where true love still exist then you will find it in After the Storm. Part 2 is going to be lit and full of drama and love 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
This book was very interesting. The storyline, the character seem so believable you feel like you are right there with them. This is a must read can't wait to read the second book.
A good story that is interesting with a good start. A few errors but they didn't take away from the story or make me not want to read more. Can't wait to see what happens with part two.
I loved the story line it was great. Micha and Jordyn was both looking to be loved. That ex wife is sneaky and so is Anthony. I hope Jordyn can get her happy ever after.
