Skye MacKinnon is a USA Today & International Bestselling Author whose books are filled with strong heroines who don't have to choose.

She embraces her Scottishness with fantastical Scottish settings and a dash of mythology, no matter if she's writing about Celtic gods, cat shifters, or the streets of Edinburgh.

When she's not typing away at her favourite cafe, Skye loves dried mango, as much exotic tea as she can squeeze into her cupboards, and being covered in pet hair by her tiny black cat (who's secretly a demon).

I don’t have the right words to describe this book at all. But I will say it’s absolutely amazing but a little sad with what happened to Louise but this book is still amazing.
I do recommend this book but if you haven’t read Alone and Hidden then I suggest that you do otherwise Found will have you completely lost to what’s what and who’s who.

Didn't see any of that happening. Total shock. Wow!!!!! Don't want to reveal the events that happen. Just read this book for a great ending. Seven people who form an intimate relationship. Can this fairy tale last? Got some mystery in it.

Bitter sweet ending to a mini series that I really enjoyed. This was a fast paced read and I devoured it. The ending shocked me just a bit, but the good thing is is that everyone lived in the end.

Louise and her men have lost contact with Earth. Six months. No word in six months. But they've been surviving. Unfortunately, a new danger arises, one that nobody saw coming. A bomb. Who would have thought that someone from Earth, long before the settlement had even begun, would plan its destruction in such a way.

In the final installment to this trilogy, Louise and her men are fighting to survive in even newer ways. The relationships between the characters seem more real than in the last book, definitely an improvement, and we see a bit more emotion, more depth, than in the last book. The character interactions and, to an extent, the relationship developments are more akin to what was seen in the first book.

By about halfway through I had a pretty good idea what was coming. The characters' personalities made it pretty evident how they would act. So in some ways, I saw the ending coming. I did not, however, see the after effects of the characters' actions coming. It made for a happy ending but still a little sad, yet at the same time it also made it a bit more realistic.

Although I was disappointed a little with the second book, I believe this book redeemed that. Overall, the series is unique. I've not read anything like it. I think it would be really fun to see a follow up one day too. I hope the author considers it.

This was a great story. It was well written and fast paced. The chemistry between the characters was sizzling hot. This book has everything you need to keep you turning pages hot sexy men, steamy scenes and some conflict thrown in. I can't wait for what this author writes next.

Fairy tale space opera?

I didn't review the 1st 2 because I read through them too fast lol but here's my series summary:

Louise is a survivor. She survived Earth and made it to Mars. On Mars the entire mission crew fell to a virus. She went down but was the only one to come back up swinging. The rest of the crew died. For months Louise survived on her own, doing every job necessary to keep the station running herself. A huge task for a woman who studies rocks. Pipes, motors, crops, these were other people's specialties, not hers. Then Earth started Drowning. Climate that finally quit screwing around back home and Earth was going under. Her communications that were her backup started disappearing. But they sent her 6 people to help out. Only problem? That virus. If she wakes them up they could die. Earth talks her through a vaccine, not a geologist's comfort zone. The 1st draft would have killed them all. The 2nd causes irreparable harm to one of the guys. The 3rd? Winner! But now Louise has to learn how to interact with real people again instead of the ones she created in her head. As the guys wake to hear about the virus, the vaccine damage and the drowning world they left behind, they realize how dire things are on the Mars station. Luckily, everyone has their own speciality. As things start to become more normal, well, normal for them, they discover that the virus may have been sabotage instead of a fluke. And the bomb? Yeah, definitely a sign that somebody wasn't happy about the mission. But can they stop it before it goes off? If not they lose a 3rd of their habitat and all of their crops. To survive the bomb but doesn't of starvation isn't going to be pleasant. There's a backup plan Louise has but the guys aren't going to like it. But will it work?

For less than 200 pages in the whole trilogy there is a lot packed into it. You go through the loneliness with Louise. The awakening to all the catastrophes with the guys. You see routines established, bondings, happiness and sadness, worries, joys and all out fears. Like all Skye's works there is a lot of heart and soul in this story. The ending... I can't give any spoilers but it's worth making it to it.

A Major Disappointment

I enjoyed this series until the end. A brief "sorry" (but not really) doesn't cut it. Real life sucks. Books don't have to...

I have to say this was very different from what I usually read. With Louise being the last person alive on Mars. She kind of goes a bit off the rails. 6 pods with men in them show up and she must find a vaccine for them so she doesn't end up alone again. Mean while Earth is having it's own problems. Rain, tsunami's, and unpredictable weather. The Drowning of Earth while Louise has to try and survive on a planet that has killed her friends and colleagues. What an interesting story! And adding the last part about what was going on with Earth while the colonists we're dying. Interesting that they didn't want to worry the Mars colonists about the doom on Earth but people were getting sicker and sicker on Mars.

What a great ending.

As sad as I was to see the series come to a conclusion I am definitely satisfied the way it was finalized. This book gives you the closure that you have longed for, watching Louise and her men working together one final time to save each other has been a very good thrill. Louise is one of those women that you truly want as a best friend because she is not scared to sacrifice herself for those that she loves, the author of this book is not scared to allow her FMC to be hurt physically and mentally but she has a way of doing so and still having the HEA at the end.

This is the third and I assume final book in the Mars Diaries. And you may shed a tear or two. But I loved it Louise and the relationship has developed between her and the guys, the Earth is silent but they are surviving on Mars, and happy. But that's all about to change. Can they stop what's about to happen? Will they survive? Will it even be worth surviving? Louise has some choices to make. She wants to her guys to live.

I have really enjoyed Louise and her journey with the guys during this series. You should definitely read the first two books to understand what is happening in this book. I liked the ending, although I can understand how some might not. It was a total shocker. There is definitely some harsh reality happening, but I felt it fit with Louise and life on Mars. I did end the book feeling that they all loved each other and would have a good life together.

Just when you think Skye MacKinnon has given Louise and her men a happy ending she literally throws you a curve ball. What happens when you find something that could literally tear apart everything you need to survive? Louise finds herself in this situation and has to choose who she is willing to sacrifice.

This is the shocking ending of the Mars diaries. Louise and her men are on a race against the clock for survival. The relationship between the seven is one of love and respect. I can't really say what happens because I don't want to ruin the shock factor. Shame shame Skye. This is a great ending to the trilogy. I love every minute of the ride.

While I enjoyed reading this book, I was surprised and a bit disappointed in the ending. I wish I almost hadn't read this book because I like more of a HEA with the books I read. I also like a bit more humor. It was an interesting concept though and the writer does have a very vivid imagination. This just wasn't my favorite type of read.

Louise and her men have survived for six months on Mars. They are all in a relationship and they are all happy. Each man has specific skills that help keep the colony running smoothly. Until the worst happens.
They’ve still had no contact from Earth, so they can’t go to the experts there. Will they all make it?

This series may have been short but it is still very good! A hot and steamy RH read with a twist I did not see coming! This book saw more character & relationship growth and more emotions then the first two and is well written!

This was such a good ending. Short and absolutely perfect. Louise and her men have settled into their lives on mars and everything is going great until somethig happens that threatens all of them. While short this story was so emotional and now I am so sad it's all over.

Found is the final book in the Mars diaries series. This was an exciting end to a wonderful story. All books should be read in order, so if you haven’t read Alone or Hidden I suggest you do that now. While short these stories are emotional and great reads.

What a fabulously awesome but cruel ending. Totally not what I expected. As if enough things hadn’t happened to Louise. Grab a copy and lose yourself in the adventure. Highly recommend.

Better, but too short.

There are some surprising elements to this part of the story line. I can't say more without giving away the tear jerker part. I just wonder what all their tomorrows will be like.

This was a fantastic end to the series. It was tense and had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen. This was not the ending I was expecting but I quite enjoy it.
