Flora Burgos is a USA Today best-selling romance author from the great state of Texas.
She found the escapism of reading at a very tender age, devouring the bodice rippers of yore, long before she'd even dreamed of a first kiss. Her first book boyfriends were swashbuckling pirates and roguish Highlanders who weren't perfect but made up for their brutish behavior with a good grovel and a happily ever after. Reading has always been an essential part of her life, and she loses herself in a good book at every opportunity.
Today, she's a mid-30's romance author and mom to a teen boy and a couple of confused, lazy pit bulls. She annoys her husband as often as she can, and she survives on poor sleep choices, too much caffeine, and too little water.
Flora loves hearing from her readers, hanging out in her reader group (Burgos Book Babes) on Facebook, and making TikToks (@authorfloraburgos) about her pit bulls and books. So Courtney has loved Cole forever, all through two tours of Afghanistan and the constant separation of a military relationship but he has left now so it will be fine. When Cole comes back Courtney he has some devistating news for her, when she finds out she runs and spends years on the rodeo circuit. When somebody starts to threaten Courtney it brings Cole back into her life but is it for good? Can they work through everything in their past?
I love Find Her, it shows a different side to Courtney than what we saw in Save Her. Reading the Texas Hearts Series kinda makes me wish my hubby wore a stetson instead of a chef jacket!!
We first met Courtney in Save Her and I absolutely loved reading not only about Sean's life without Kate from her point of view, but also about her past with Cole and her interactions with Cole's brother and her own brother that brought them to the world we met in Save Her. Courtney has only had one love in her life, and he destroyed her without any explanation. Through a decade of pain for both of them, there doesn't seem to be much resolution or ability to forgive and I really wasn't sure I'd see an HEA here. Circumstances throw them together and we find out if HE can explain himself and be the man she needs and if SHE can forgive or will she move on to greener pastures. Wonderful sweet, sexy love story!
This book is full of action, friendship, heartache, and second chances.
Cole and Courtney have so much love for each other but life just gets in the way.
This story is fantastic and is my favorite book by Flora. She had me dopey smiling one minute and was ripping my heart out the next. This book has it all. I can see myself reading this book again and again.
A lot of suspenseful action, some really good characters and some really aggravating events. That the H who loved the h 'completely' could essentially leave and ghost her without any explanation is .....just wrong. For this supposedly strong and morally honest individual to allow a manipulative female associate to wreck his future is questionable. The the H could talk to the h's father but not to the h.....idiotic.
But the writing was strong and you did care about the characters even if they did need a severe electrical to their nervous system to straighten out their thinking....on both parts.
I loved this book and I love the Texas Heart series! It was full of love, heartache, secrets and second chances! Evan though Courtney and Cole love each other things get in the way of their relationship! I love how Flora included Ev and Katherine from Save Her in this story! I loved getting to read more about them! I loved the interaction between all the wonderful characters! It had me happy one minute and sad the next! Flora did a great job with this book! I can’t wait to read the next book in the Texas Heart series!
This is book 2 in the series and is totally awesome because it is from Courtney’s point of view. After reading book 1, I did not think there could be any redeeming qualities about Courtney. But after reading Find Her, I have a whole new love for her.
Find her is the missing puzzle piece for Save Her. The Author wrote this story from a different perspective and filled us in on what was happening when Scott was out of the picture in Book 1. I absolutely loved the way this was told!
Y'all! I was blessed enough to receive an ARC of this book. I read it in one sitting (okay laying in bed not sitting) the characters were so well written about and I literally felt like I was there with them. Excellent writing @authorfloraburgos you're taking over the world one book at a time! Get it gal.
Flora does a great job of bringing the two books together. Struggles kept them apart for a decade, but they eventually find their way back. Very well written and an easy read.
Five stars aren't enough for this tale of love and pain. Every turn of the page was unexpected and enjoyable. Great characters. Original plot. Very few errors.
If you read Save Her you might not be to fond of Courtney. This book gives you quite the glimpse into her head and the full story behind her and Cole. A story that will keep you glued to each page, feeling each and every emotion along with these lovably, flawed characters
