Pretty comprehensive for one city. It does suffer from outdated info, but you should always double check your plans. I liked the neighboourhood walk maps. A couple more example itineraries would be great. There's only a 4 day one in the beginning of the book (which you could break up), but a "best of" 2-day and 7-day with day trips one would be awesome.
The best lonely planet guide I've ever read. Exact, concise, with great tips for food and nightlife in a city that is as expensive as NYC. Highly recommend this guide if you're going to Sydney!!
