Rate this book
a Caribbean paradise fraught with unseen danger. The Old Farts a small group of mixed-age military veterans with various ‘skills’ who frequent a local fast food joint to swap stories and trade tales. During a dream Jamaican vacation, Danny ‘Dud’ Wilkerson is devastated when, after a seemingly random accident, his wife Evie vanishes. The Montego Bay police force insists on a seventy-two hour wait before anyone is officially considered missing. With concrete evidence of her disappearance, Dud can’t wait and, faced with a race against time to find his wife, calls on The Old Farts Club to join him in paradise to track her down. Little do they know, Evie’s disappearance is just the beginning of a scary and thrilling adventure that takes them from paradise to Hell, as The Old Farts piece together clue after clue and use all of their skills to not only find the missing woman, but to stop something altogether more sinister. Another top-notch tale from a very versatile author! I have read several books by this author and they have never failed to entertain. It seems he can take on any genre and nail it with his own fast-paced, action-packed style. As with his other books, there is barely time to breathe while whizzing through this action-adventure. I can imagine this as a great movie or even TV series! A group of ex-military men meet regularly in a diner to entertain and support each other. Dan 'Dud' Wilkerson is on holiday in Jamaica with his wife Evie, when they are run off the road. When Dud wakes up from the accident he discovers Evie is missing and it's not long before he realises he can't trust the police to help him. He calls his old buddies and they are on the next flight out to help him. What I loved about this book was that it was written from everyone's point of view, so we had the old farts club characters view, and also Evie's as she struggled to escape her kidnappers. We also had the antagonist's point of view, which was very menacing. There was a great twist at the end I didn't see coming. This book had me gripped from the start, with great characters, an action-packed plot and the prospect of more books in this series is very exciting indeed.

A Guy Walks Into A Bar. - I enjoy reading books by this talented author. I tried to finish this book in one sitting but, alas, 0300 hours knocked me out. Funny. Interesting. Intriguing. Well written with well thought out story lines and a group of characters that are characters. All the good guys were likeable and easy to root for and the baddies were easy to hate, and admire their professionalism. I enjoyed finding out about the different types of drones and sure could use one of the loaded for bear ones in my backyard. Entertaining and realistic. 5*

Callie's Eyes - My first read by this author. The second time, I had the pleasure to read this book in paperback, which is still the only way to read, in print. This story is an awesome read. Full of various elements that add depth and give the reader material to think about while reading intense story lines about well developed characters. Callie is a mature, giving 13-year-old instead of the typical whiny, self-centered youth so common today. She is blind and has visions of horrors to come. There are bad guys, the government, Christians and non-Christians among other elements that affect her family's problems in doing the right thing. I have read this book twice, a rarity these recent years, and found the first read just as immersing as the first. 5*

Exodus: The Old Farts Club, #1 - I had the pleasure of reading this in paperback, which I know enhanced this fun and exciting story. Try gripping a Kindle, twisting its pages and flipping back and forth as the story grabs you. Similar to the difference of seeing Die Hard in a theater for the first time compared to watching it at home alone. The characters range in personalities, skills and opinions, but they are one unit, one team, brothers; even the British dude. Realistic, no Rambos here, just men doing the right thing. The story lines are interesting and immersing making the book hard to put down. I read this in one day, it is that entertaining. The support characters are good and even their own bits added more depth. Of course, a bit of British cuisine made its appearance, which I found funny since the names of these dishes, and some ingredients, can repel the American palate. There are a couple of unexpected happenings that surprised me, usually I know what to expect; read as much as I do, and have, and there are rare surprises. 5*

Final Clearance - My second book by this author and I enjoyed it, too. Funny how things work out for some people. Told in first person, the story hits highs and lows as well as love and humor. A killer with a conscience and morals, go figure. Good characters, great story lines, clean dialog and humor made this one sitting read. 4*

Action, Love, Bob Marley, Guns, Pretty ladies. It's all in here. Yet another action packed story from the mind of Mick Williams. This time it seems we're getting a series! I, for one, cannot wait for more.

Normally I read with a care to the elements of a story and the flow of the writing over the actual storyline. I read this one and simply wanted to keep turning pages to see what happens next. Also, I'd love to own that home from the bad guy, it sounded beautiful, if not for the way he acquired it, and all the bloodshed that occurred.

I can't wait for more from this Club and Mick!

Dud and Evie are on vacation in Jamaica when Evie gets kidnapped. Dud calls on the Old Farts Club for help. They respond in a bid way and save the day.
