Omega Wrynn Heart dreams of the day he’ll meet his true-mate, but everyone keeps telling him no Alpha wants to marry a smart-mouthed omega with little respect for tradition or authority. That’s okay, he doesn’t want to marry an Alpha looking for nothing more than a houseboy, anyway. What sort of mundane existence would that be? Certainly not one he wants to experience.

Wrynn’s outspoken nature causes him to cycle through a lot of jobs and there aren’t many left willing to hire an unmated omega. His last chance is the position of Omega Studies professor at the prestigious Hemlock Academy. It’s below his level of expertise, but his Alpha brother and guardian, Zack, called in every last favor to secure it for Wrynn and threatens to marry him off, true-mate or not, if he doesn’t make it work.

When his new boss turns out to be everything Wrynn’s ever dreamed of and more he’s sure there’s a catch to snagging the most eligible Alpha in the states. He’s not sure he’ll get to find out if Darian Hemlock can’t put up with his sass and outspoken nature.

Darian Hemlock isn’t looking for his true-mate. He’s not against the idea. The Patriarch of Hemlock Wolf Pack and the Dean of Hemlock Academy has bigger problems to worry about. With the turn over rate of the Omega Studies professor ever rising and a new string of omega disappearances sweeping through his pack’s territory he’s taken off guard when Wrynn Heart walks into his life and for a brief moment the world stops.

His new Omega Studies Professor is unlike any other omega he’s ever met and he’s his. Everything about Wrynn makes him irresistible from his slim physique to his smart-mouthed antics. In fact, when it comes to Wrynn he can only think about one thing: the night they conceive their first pup.

Alpha and omega collided in a clash of passion, but the world doesn’t stop just because they’ve had a true-mating response.
Threats from the outside continue to pour into their lives in the form of an unsolved string of omega kidnappings. Will Darian and his pack stop the threat to their very home before it’s too late?

This was a sweet and sexy read. I had lots of fun and highly recommend it.

Wrynn is mouthy and smart omega. He doesn't pull his punches while standing up for himself and omegas like him. Darian is alpha who is honorable and trustworthy. He loves with all his heart and gives his omega everything of himself.

This book is light and very easy to read. Many secondary characters make it heart warming and wholesome. The hot and steamy encounters are off the chain! Very enjoyable and well written. This book has some new notions about shifter society which I enjoyed discovering. New legends, new order of things and different view from the author makes for a compelling story. Don't miss the fun!

I just need to know.....

I just need to know who is behind the Omega Farms. Once I find that out then I’m good lol. Not a big fan of the MCs; especially Wrynn. He seems so full of himself and throwing his new found weight around. Sometimes the writing seems a bit juvenile IMO.

I thought that this was a cute, sweet, if at times a bit chaotic (seriously, I felt like there were 2 stories going on here all mushed together) story, and I enjoyed the characters. I really loved Wrynn, his strength and attitude.

I'll definitely give the second one a try, as the whole plot with the rescued omegas and who's behind all of that has my interest piqued.

The Omega can't stop whining each time he opens his mouth aarrrggh (and all the omegas are sweet, obedient house boys *barf*)
The alpha is just perfect. And I mean it in a bad way: too understanding, too beautiful, such a big *biiiiiip* (aarrrggh again), a real insipid knight.
I couldn't read the book til the end, because anyway, there is no suspens. They found each other and fall in love in the first 3 chapters, so, what's the point??
And there is NO women in the story, appart from the kind sister in law who is... well, transparent and useless -_-'
I don't recommand it.

There’s not a lot of good I can say about this one. I was not a fan of Wrenn. I wonder if part of this was because anytime he spoke it was always with a “he whined” and it made me see him as this horribly immature bratty omega. I don’t think that’s what the author was going for here. I do think there was potential beyond that, despite much of the book being the epitome of MPREG cliche. What I did enjoy was this peek into a world of magic, vampires, shifters...it definitely needed more world building to entirely make sense and it would be nice to know if we got that in the next books.

I originally wanted to read Arden’s Oath that is set in the same world and I might give that a try before I move on to something else.

This book was so good I read it twice. Wrynn is a cute and sassy omega, who knows what he wants from life and he will do just about anything to be by his true-mates side. Darian maybe cool headed most of the time but when it comes to Wrynn he's a ball of fluff and nerves mix in with a little cave-alpha and all sexy <3. I can't wait for the next book in this series and I hope to see more of Wrynn, Darian and all of Hemlock Academy.

Beginning of an Entertaining Series

I really enjoyed this series opening book. Do you like Mpreg? Then you'll enjoy this book. There are Wolf shifter pups everywhere. And more to come since there are twelve books thus far in this series. The Hemlock Pack Alpha as a favor is allowing a trouble starting Omega professor with a string of firings to take over the Academy's Omega Studies courses. A feisty, smart mouthed, never backing down to Alphaholes Omega shows up with his almost out of patience older brother. Everyone receives the shock of their lives when the Omega and Hemlock Alpha "respond to" each other as True Mates. This is the first time I've ever heard of the phrase "respond to" as a way of mates recognizing each other.

I enjoyed how the author threaded humor throughout, in particular how the Shifters fight with their Wolves to remain in control. This is definitely an erotic romance so be prepared for passionate "romping" between the true mates. There is also sudden violence, heroism, and the love of family demonstrated time and again.

It feels weak as the series opener.

I have read this book via Kindle Unlimited.
Wrynn - omega - meant to be full of sass but comes across as whiny and needy. He's more akin to a petulant child. Obnoxious.
Darian - Alpha - leader of the Hemlock pack. Always finds his omega's petulance as cute and endearing. Will always put others before his Omega and family.
This book is about Wrynn and Darian getting together. But with an overarching plotline regards Omega Breeding Farms.
I really was enjoying this book but started to dislike Wrynn as the book progressed. Especially how he acts towards others during his labour, when he physically harms care givers. But it's all glossed over and played for humour.
Sadly, in my opinion, a good enough book to start a series. Both main characters are dislikeable.
Secondary characters are set up for other books in the series.
I was looking forward to reading the start of a series of books I
hadn't previously known about.
Unfortunately, I won't be wasting my time nor effort by continuing with this series.

nice start

This was a very nice start to a series. I love the feistiness of the omega and the tenderness of the alpha. I loved how they fit together their life for each other. This is an Insta love meeting so just know that before going in. There’s a lot of world build and I’m intrigued by the background plot that seems like it’ll carry through the series. Dorian is my favorite and I loved his take charge alpha. The rating was good, the Smexy was nice, the side characters were cool and I’m excited to meet the rest of the pack

Short and to the point

Very insta-love. True mates at first uh... sniff? Wrynn and Darian were very sweet together with zero conflict relationship-wise. In addition to the romance, there is a plot regarding omega breeding farms that I assume will continue through several books. I enjoyed the story but was shocked how quickly it was over. I guess I hadn't been paying attention to the percentage left of the book. I am glad I read the prequel because Juda and Frost were mentioned quite a bit.

Great book

This was such an entertaining read. There was action, intrigue, humor, and romance. Wynn was a quirky smart mouth omega, and Darian was a kind funloving Alpha that adored his mate, even when Wrynn was a little too pushy. I loved reading this book until it got to the birthing scene. Wynn was too mean and trying to fight Dr. Babe and but Nurse Barry; that was just too much and so unreal even for a book.

I originally read this while I search for a new series to binge, but this was amazing. The world building is interesting, the characters are very defined and lovable, and the ongoing conflict is compelling. Super happy I stumbled onto this series. The writing was great and I can't wait to read more of this series and more from this author.

Omega Studies feels underdeveloped. I could’ve done with a little more background on the “secret organization”. Wrynn struck me as petulant. And why are there no less than 37 conjugations of the verb “whine” in a 128 page story?

The blurb misled me into thinking Wrynn would be a strong character and there would be sassiness. But he's more of a "I want to have your babies and take care of your house" wolf and not very interesting. The book also needed an editor.

It was good at first but boring until the end. I thought their story was just like my usual read, fun and light but I'm so wrong. They dealt with a breeding farm, a problem who hadn't solved yet and that was depressing theme for me. I hate it because I'm not a fan of tragic story.

whiny main character

I really wanted to like this book. It's got a good premise. But the omega is whiny - no, just no. I dnf this book but am interested in the author's style and plan to check out next in series.

I really enjoyed this story I can't wait to read more. I do hope that the rest finish out the story for the farms because that part has got to be finished. I need to know what happened to the horrible people.

Omega attitude

Wrynn is an omega with an attitude. He's hired to teach omega studies at the Hemlock Academy. Darian is the head of the academy. They true respond at their first meeting.

Mixed bag

So this is the first in the series, a short book, more of a novella and for me is like a prequel, setting the scene, introducing the pack, cast, etc which it does well. There is an ongoing plot which weaves through books 1, 2 and 3 (which finally becomes the length of a novel) but this plot then unravels into a much deeper more complex plot/threat running throughout the rest of the series - which is good, it twists, turns and morphs to keep you interested and when you combine that with the shifters, magic and 'other world' it is a great escape. BUT the editing is none existent, it is full of typos, mixed tenses and completely wrong words in sentences, which disrupts the flow as you try to work out what it should say. Because this series is available on Kindle Unlimited I have continued with the rest of the books and this first book appears to be worst for this. There are some typos and errors in the other books but less than in this one. If you can read past the errors and have Kindle Unlimited I would not hesitate to say try it but if you have to buy it I would be hesitant which is a shame because the overall plot, cast and setting are good.

I enjoyed this first book of the series. Wrynn and Darian are mates, and I really loved the fact that both of them were wolves, plus Wrynn was super feisty, which I always enjoy. I was super delighted that they mated pretty soon in the story with no resistant wolf. Yes! They worked through all of their problems together with no unnecessary angst as a plot device. The storyline progresses at an even pace with well depicted characters. It held my interest, and I'm curious to find out how the plot unfolds. =)
