She’s willing to help him find a way to end his blood-lust, but the cost may be too high. Chloe and Gavin can’t rewrite the past. Can they survive to write a new future together?

Chloe is about to start a new journey in her life. With the death of her favorite aunt, she inherits a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains in a small town named Carter Lake that has been in her family for generations. Chloe has fond memories of the cabin from when she was a young girl and it is a stark difference from the hustle and bustle of the city life she has grown accustomed to. With a sizeable trust fund, Chloe can afford to quit her job in the city and concentrate on her passion for writing. Her trust fund should be enough until royalties from her writing start to come in. It is time to get back to her roots and keep the cabin in the family for at least another generation.

Inhabitants of Carter Lake believe the cabin to be haunted and would probably be best if Chloe demolished or condemned the place, but she will do no such thing. The cabin is over one hundred years old and has character. Plus, Chloe does not believe in silly ghost stories. Although, Chloe is now starting to wonder if the cabin really is haunted when she wakes up the next morning and finds her yellow notepad filled with a critique of a story she was working on the previous evening. All her doors and windows were locked, so no one came in while she was sleeping. What was going on and who is intruding in her space? Chloe decides the best course of action was to change the locks and hope it puts an end to the mystery intruder. Unfortunately for Chloe, the next morning she wakes up to a new note. Is the place haunted like everyone keeps telling her?

Gavin, the cabin’s resident ghost has lived in the cabin for centuries and practically knew Chloe’s entire family going back through generations. He remembers Chloe from when she was a young girl. He is taking a big leap in faith by reaching out to her and making himself known. Something he has only done once before. Will this leap of faith be worth it?

I thought it was rather interesting to see how Chloe finds out that Gavin is not really a ghost after all, but a vampire. Which is kind of scary when you think about it, but Chloe was not afraid of him. She felt a connection to him and Gavin had a way that calmed her. They both had a passion for writing and I think this is ultimately what drew them both together. I thought it was rather cute how he would help Chloe with her manuscript. Gavin wanted her to become successful.

I really liked both Chloe and Gavin. They were both damaged, but yet found strength in each other and they brought out the best in each other. Sure she may have been a little afraid at first, but I think the loneliness she was feeling overruled her senses and she began to crave and seek out his company. Gavin was a complete gentleman and I love how the author portrayed him in both manner and speech as someone from a different century. It would have been so easy to modernize him, but he became more realistic as a centuries old soul.

There is a bit of a mystery thrown into the mix and Chloe and Gavin team up together to solve it. I felt it could have been expanded a bit more as it felt a bit rushed. I probably would have liked to see more of that story played out. I love that Chloe never doubted Gavin though. Chloe knew deep down inside he was good man and incapable of hurting a human.

All in all, Passions is a sweet romance with likable characters, a refreshing plot that draws you right in, and a swoon worthy vampire that you can’t help but fall in love with. I am so glad I got the chance to read Chloe and Gavin’s story.

A MUST READ!!

When you can't manage to put a book down you know you've found a keeper. Passions is that kind of book(for me at least). I tried to walk away several times but I was so captivated that I couldn't manage leaving Gavin and Chloe until I knew how things would play out. I absolutely recommend reading Passions!!

New author for me. A sweet vampire romance with a little of everything in it. There's no descriptive sex in it. We know they did but its not descriptive which normally is what I go for but for this book I was ok with that. Its really different than your normal vampire romance. I thought at one point we'd get disappointed in the end because I've seen many books layed out like this go a different way. A disappointing way but you wont be disappointed! I enjoyed Gavin and Chloe. I thought they were written really well and very likable. He was sweet and has been around a long time. Definite gentleman. I wont give anything else away but a recommendation from me for sure! :) I read straight through!

This was one completely spellbinding! Entirely captivating! Unputdownable paranormal romance! And I feasted upon every last word!

Not gonna lie…I don’t read a lot of pure paranormal or paranormal romance…my tastes tend to lean towards the more fantastical and overly magical side of fiction but once I read the blurb I immediately felt drawn to this story and intrigued by the entire concept if thd book. I am a huge mood reader and I was just compelled to read it! And then once I started I couldn’t help but absolutely devour it!

Chloe hasn’t been to the old cabin that has been handed down through her family since she was quite young. But after the death of her aunt, Chloe decides a quiet cabin in the mountains is just the escape from Atlanta and a volital ex-boyfriend, she needs. She hopes to finally start that writing life she has always dreamed about. But what Chloe doesn’t realize is that her life is about to get a whole lot more interesting. And with mysterious writing critiques, locked doors, a secluded cabin, and whispers that Chloe just might not be the only inhabitant of the old cabin, she soon finds herself in a situation she never could have anticipated with a man that she never could have imagined…but maybe…just maybe…they both can be the light in the darkness that has buried them both for so long.

There are just so so SOOOOOO many aspects to this story that made it completely captivating. I loved how mysterious it was. The intrigue and unknown literally radiated off the pages and I reveled in every unknown second of it. Then there was all the sweet, very swoony, slightly spicy (one closed door/fade to black scene) romance that was so enchanting and relatable to me. My husband and I met and got engaged in a matter of months (literary…less than 3) so I particularly enjoyed the whirlwind aspect of the relationship. I also really really appreciated the overall coziness that was perfectly balanced with the more intense, angsty, and emotional moments. It was just so well written.

But I think my absolute very favorite aspect of Passions was the lore. I loved how Bitikofer took the common lore we think we know and twisted pieces of it to create something uniquely hers. This twisting of lore also led to some very humerus interactions and added some much enjoyed comedic relief. I couldn’t help but chuckle to myself on several occasions.

Anyways…if you enjoy a healthy dose of mystery, lots of deliciously sweet, swoony, mostly clean romance, filled with intriguing characters that will steal your heart and make you feel all the emotions, with the quintessential combination of cozy and angst then you simply must read Passions!

Chloe Kaspin inherits a three-hundred-year-old cabin in the quiet woods of the Georgia mountains from her Aunt Mary Anne, who was considered an excentric loner. Chloe is a writer and wants the serenity of the cabin to write and to heal from an abusive relationship. Chloe was Mary Anne’s choice to keep Mary Anne’s secret. Mary Anne’s only friend, an unearthly being, lived in her basement. A vampire.

Gavin Caras was the original owner of the cabin, which was his home when he immigrated from England. He lost his family to illness, and began a lonely existence as a vampire, hiding from society in the basement of his cabin. Gavin was also a writer and eventually revealed himself to Chloe.

The story was intriguing and uniquely written so as to not be the typical vampire story. The author has developed a plot about two lonely people who slowly become friends and eventually fall in love. It is a beautiful story about the sacrifices one would make for someone they love. The ending is very satisfying and nicely wraps up the story. I definitely recommend this book!

IMAGINE GOING TO A BAKERY AND YOU SEE AN INTERESTING LOOKING DESSERT THAT YOU HAVE NEVER HAD BEFORE. YOU TAKE A SMALL BITE TO SEE IF YOU LIKE IT. IT IS TASTY. YOU HAVE A 2ND BITE AND YOU REALIZE THAT WHILE YOU HAVE NEVER HAD THIS DESSERT BEFORE, YOU REALLY LIKE IT AND YOU DON'T WANT TO STOP EATING IT.

PASSIONS IS THE LITERARY EQUIVALENT OF SUCH A DESSERT. IT WAS QUITE ENJOYABLE TO READ. I HAVEN'T READ ANY NOVELS BY MS. BITIKOFER BEFORE, BUT I THINK I WILL CERTAINLY READ OTHER NOVELS BY HER IN THE FUTURE.

This is a first for me reading anything by Sheritta Bitikofer. I really enjoyed this book. She had me curious about the characters and their way of doing things. I was surprised at the end because even though it was building up to end result, I thought she was going to go a different route with the story. No, this book isn't smut or erotica, but it is considered romance and recommend this book to those that like to read about vampires. In my opinion it is twilight meets the vampire diaries with a hint of true blood.

Chloe is a woman that loves to write that inherits a home from her aunt. Gavin is vampire who lives in the basement and loves writing as well. 2 "people"so alike yet so different. This is basically a vanilla romance so if you don't like descriptive scenes you will like this. Gavin is the quintessential gentleman and Chloe interests him. This is a beautiful love story, nothing like I normally read and I am very glad I had a chance to read this. I enjoyed it.

Chloe moves into her Aunts cabin in Crater Lake after her Aunts death to get away from an abusive boyfriend and to finally begin writing her novel. Here she meets Gavin in a very unique way. Their relationship blooms but there is danger involved.. I liked the story, but found it a bit long winded....

I enjoyed this supernatural love story

I enjoyed this supernatural love story. Gavin is a great, handsome, and a pretty wholesome vampire. Additionally, I love that the characters could solved the vampire problem.
