Kartoissa on luukkuja, joiden alta maailman ihmeet paljastuvat.

Although the book is not in the reading list, I think it will be particularly useful at school because it is based around the theme of maps and journeys, it can be in cooperated into lessons on Geography and PSHE, Something I would definitely encourage children to read because of the vast amount of factual information. This book allows children to explore the world by lifting one flap at a time. each page features a continent where they discover the beautiful animals, buildings, foods and cultures specific to the place.a very factual book which makes discovery around the world fun, ideal for ages 5+, however the book does have chunks of reading which may be daunting for some children. Though I think this is made up for when each continent is presented in a very eye catching colourful way which also avoids reinforcing the stereotypical views of peoples around the world. An excellent book for those who are curious about the world around them.
I learned a lot of this looking at that one. I liked Mama reading every night and seeing new places. I live in Kenya but the continent is Africa. My friend Noah is from Asia.... what country mama? South Korea! I can't remember all the countries - I have them on my wall with all the flags. I'm gunna learn them. It's sad that the countries fight each other. We should stop them. Are there police to stop them from fighting? (Pause to talk about the UN)
I liked the pages cause they had flipping flappitys. I saw dinosaurs lots of times too! I'm trying to find the tiger... where is the tiger? (In Asia) (flips to Asia on his own!!!!) There it is. - Khi 3
This book is amazing! I was surprised how interesting it was. I love he layout of he book. Each page focuses on a continent with engaging pictures. It gives lots of different facts about each place (natural wonders, animals, man made places, some history, etc). I read from cover to cover which took a few hours. It's the only atlas book I will own, bc I will read it.
A fun and informative introduction to the world, that will definitely teach the adults something new as well as the kids! Each double page spread focuses on a different continent with facts about the region hidden underneath enticing little flaps. Really colourful and inviting, although some of the text is quite small.

Usborne Lift-the -flap Picture Atlas (Hardcover) by Helen Lee Goodreads author and designer- The book contains pictorial depcition of earth- world atlas, continents, physical fetures, important animals, festivals, etc of each region- North and South America, Africa, Oceania, Europe, Australia, Asia, Oceania, oceans, Arctica and Antarctica, polictical- flag of different countires etc. With this a flodable atlas is also included for which a pouch has been created at the end of the book. I have observed children joining to read the altas and be interested and enthusiastic in knowing more. It has a way to charm the children of all ages to its xcontents. It is a good read and learn book for all.
This is the best atlas for children. It is full of useful facts (presented it an easily digestible form), interesting trivia, and great illustrations. My three-year-old daughter loves this book, and I like that it's a book that can grow with her (it's aimed at older children, but is accessible to younger children). If a child doesn't already have an interest in geography, this book is definitely capable of inspiring it.
Interesting way to let our children learn geography by looking at maps of each continents with detailed countries and their natural resources. Great picture Atlas indeed. My children enjoys looking at it while indirectly learning about world atlas.
My 2 year old loves this book. She (and I) love that there are facts and tons of illustrations for animals from the different areas. It inspired me to get her a kids map for her wall to go along with this. One of her favorites, and it will mean even more when she gets older.
My daughter really likes this book. She enjoys finding all the different "hello"s in many different languages. Also we had a lot of fun talking about the flags from the pull out map.
