Teen girl crime fiction, but with baking.

I saw the authors at C2E2 2017 and I thought the idea of a baking-goods-based crime fiction sounded like a lot of fun, but I didn't get around to reading it until now. Thanks to Monstress for reminding me that non-superhero, non-manga comics are a thing.

This is 26 pages so I can't make an extensive commentary, but I'm curious about the impressions given in the endnotes and the plot. The endnotes talk about a crime drama as seen from the perspective of the villain, but the plot is about a transfer student making friends with someone in her new school and both of them having to deal with the rich bully who terrorizes everyone she doesn't like. It seems like it's a classic story of the underdog teaching their tormentor a lesson and the bully getting their comeuppance, so what's the twist?

I guess I'll find out next issue!
