Children's author and publishing coach, Laurie Wright is a silly but smart, busy mom of three who laughs at her own jokes just a bit too much. The minivan is her sanctuary, and the only place she can sing out loud without being shushed. She’s known for her short term memory and extreme love of chips and dip. Usually on her best behavior, watch out when her filter wears off! Never without her laptop and a notebook. Trust her with your kids and your books, but not your coffee!

Another win, great job!

Good for the shy watchers and sensitive kids who are afraid. Interested but not quite sure if they want to.

This series is not exactly subtle with messaging, so I was pleasantly surprised that the kids were into it. Natalie picks up "I Will Try" and "I Believe in Myself" and eagerly hands them over to me. There's always a kid who is doubtful and scared about new experiences, but I like these positive affirmations of "I will try, even if there's a chance I'm going to hate what's going to happen". They encourage the fact that scenarios are uncertain, but it's going to be okay, which is valuable for kids (and adults) to know.

Pretty awful

I found reading this book to my toddler gave him new things to worry about.... seemed to be counterproductive. If the ending was at the beginning, or if it started with why she was nervous rather than “I won’t do it” it may have been better.
