This book is a mix between second chance romance and fake fiance romance, I enjoy it but this one is not my fav from Kira Blakely. It has a lot of drama and it brings a lot of feelings at some point, but I felt it's a bit dragging at the beginning, a bit predictable and a bit rushed in the end, but I still love those sweet and steamy moments and it does have interesting story and plot, so yeah I enjoyed it,
As for characters, I hate Beckett, he's a SOB through most of this book, although he's changing in the end, I can't forget how he acts before. And Olivia, I understand this girl, love how she's willing to change to be a guardian for her niece, although there's a bit inconsistency with her character. Overall, these two are sweet and fiery together, though I wished I can feel their connection sooner.
If you're looking for second chance/fake fiance read, you might like this one.

A hot and steamy story with real down to earth characters. The characters are continually struggling within them selves and their choices. A good story that was worth it in the end.
Beck is used to doing whatever he wanted without worrying about consequences and now he is in a pickle because of it. Olivia is raising her niece on her own after her brother and his wife die leaving her custody. Before Olivia's brother died he warned Beck to stay away from her and Beck did even though he really cared for her. Olivia is shocked when Beck walks up to her in a crowded restaurant and quiets little Penny down. She can't stop thinking about how easily he made it look so when she couldn't calm her she broke down and called for him. When things were getting scary when a aunt and uncle decided they were going to take custody of Penny from Olivia she turned to Beck again. He came up with a plan that would help the both of them her keep custody and him clean up his reputation. What happens when something fake becomes completely real? Can Beck and Olivia become a family for Penny? Will they lose Penny?
This was an amazing story about two people grieving the loss of a loved one and finding that they love each other too. This story will keep your attention from the first word until the end. The chemistry between Olivia and Beck is sizzling hot. Kira Blakely has another hit on her hands.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. I enjoyed it so much I bought my own copy.
I LOVED this story. These two have such a history between them but it isn't a history that either wants to really relive.
Olivia is now the guardian of her little niece and is not really prepared for any of it. But she is determined to do everything herself and to make a great life for herself and her niece. But when she sees Beck again all the past emotions come forward again. Olivia has always been in love with Beck. The bad boy next door neighbors her brothers best friend. But he was always the one for her.
Beck was always on the sidelines of Olivia's life. Looking out for her, loving her, but never feeling like he could be in her love life. But now with Micheal gone and her having his child and raising her, he feels like he has to be there to help. But he also needs her deep down. So when they both need help in different ways they lean on each other. But will it be enough?
I devoured this book. I was up half the night because I couldn't put it down. Olivia is true strength and grace. And Beck is a true alpha. Loved both characters. An all-around wonderful book!!
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
I read this book as part of an arc program. I loved this book about Olivia, a young woman who is given custody of her niece after her brother and his wife died. Olivia was a spoiled rich socialite who is over her head caring for Penny and asks her brother's best friend Beckett for help. Beck is Penny's godfather and knows Olivia needs help, he is also a playboy who is ruthless in his business. Beck helps Olivia, but wants to own her too. Beck has always wanted Olivia and when they were younger, they wrote letters to each other until Beck cut off all contact. Olivia has always loved Beck, but knows he will break her heart if she allows him to. When Beck needs to clean up his image and Olivia is sued for custody of Penny by a distant relative, they decide on a fake engagement to help them. Beck had a hard upbringing and doesn't think he is able to love, but knows Olivia is his. They have a great connection that goes back to their childhood. I thought they were great together. I loved how Beck was with Penny. This was a great story with great chemistry. Another great one from Kira.
Olivia and Beckett grew up next door to each other. He was her brother’s best friend and she off limits even though they both had feelings for each other. Now after a life of pampering, Olivia is guardian to her niece Penny. Having to fulfill her brother’s wishes seems difficult at first but she is determined to succeed. Beckett is trying to keep clients while living a playboy lifestyle. After years of not seeing Beckett a chance meeting has them in each other’s lives again. Having a soft spot for Penny, he decides he's going to help Olivia. Penny and Beck Poo’s bond is adorable! Will Olivia and Beck be able to help each other through all the twists that come their way while also dealing with their hearts and feelings again? This read is really good - no one here is perfect. MCs are strugling constantly. Olivia seemed to be a useless girl that couldnt Care for Her 2yr old niece. But.. she was biggest surprise here - Her change made me so painfully happy. Beckett, was an a$$ but his connection with Penny was so evident and beatiful! I LOVED THIS STORY!!
I don't think I have ever read a book that has a hero who fights his internal battle with himself so savagely! His misguided trip to a HEA is full of mistakes and roadblocks of his own making. The Heroine and his former best friend's daughter are sent on a rough ride. Of course there is a HEA and it is hard earned. The writing and plot are solid. There are emotions all over the place and massive growth for everyone. I would recommend this book.

Very entertaining, captivating, and interesting read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong characters. I want to read more from this author.

Kira has written another great sexy and suspenseful book. I definitely recommend reading the prequel before this so you understand the story more. But it's still a great story that keeps you hooked from the start. My favorite book by Kira now. Even though this one made me cry, it's definitely worth it.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
If there is ever a lesson to learn is stay the hell away from social media! Might as well be a monk.
Alert: You really should read the prequel to this book. It does fill in some of the blanks and establishes the characters a little better (for what that’s worth) than if you did not read it.
I’m not sure what to say. This book was rather… ho-hum. Even the sex seemed forced and not in a rough romp sort of way.
Length: Novella… really!
Character development: It’s there, but I don’t think the character of Olivia was as well thought out. I was given the impression she was a spoiled little rich girl. Look, I’ve met spoiled little rich girls, and they grow up to spoiled, skanky, rich women. So maybe she had to be one thing publicly but was something else privately? Sure, that would make more sense, considering how her character changes after the death of her brother. But that’s not how the author explains it, and Kira make it feel more forced and not quite believable. The post-mortem Olivia is more sympathetic (but barely because I felt like I was being dragged by the nose to come to this conclusion), but that means there is a huge leap of faith from the pre-mortem version. As for Beckett, yeah, he’s a bastard, but he’s our bastard. We knew that the entire time. I like how Blakely represented him far better than Olivia though the inevitable graveyard scene was so contrived and unfortunately overused by other writers of Blakely’s ilk.
Emotional factor: I’m getting rather tired that my heart strings must be tugged by a poor, little, grieving tot. Again, I’ve seen first-hand grieving toddlers and pre-school children, and yes, all do grieve differently. Penny really acted more like a spoiled little brat… and poorly portrayed, too. Would it be too surprising that Beckett was the “Penny Whisperer”? I didn’t care as much for Olivia than I did Beckett.
Speed of action: A little rushed towards the end but not too badly. The problem is that the tale is too short!
Predictability: Pretty much the same thing. Bebe, Olivia’s high-flying friend, was very predictable. I don’t understand why Olivia didn’t just cut her out of her life. I mean, if you trust Blakely’s writing, Olivia doesn’t really go out of her way to be a friend with her. In fact, even her spidey senses were tingling.
Credibility issues: Nothing glaring. I’m just surprised how superficial the background of this story is. Exposition was really bare bones, with the exception of Olivia’s old home. This greatly affected the balance of the novella.
Grammar and technical errors: Broken paragraphs are the bane of my existence! And the dialogue was a little choppy.
For all the hype this book had prior to release, I now realize it really was just that… hype. I don’t know how the title even integrates with the story. I wish the novella was a real novel with complexity. I was left wanting MORE. I hate to say this, Kira, I’ve read better sizzling romance novels lately than this one. Maybe you need to slow down a bit and write something more substantial rather than just bang out a tale just to get it on the market.
Savage by Kira Blakely a five-star read that will make you want to melt. Beckett Price is a devil in a black suit and you would sell yourself to him for pennies. He may be broken and behaving badly and risking everything he has built up but he has his reasons, will one of those reasons Olivia Abbott be able to help him if he helps her? she is falling to pieces and trying her hardest to be a good guardian to her niece but sometimes trying your hardest isn’t always enough. Beck is a man of many hidden talents, one of which is baby whisperer and he will melt your ovaries. He will try his hardest to avoid Olivia as she reminds him of something that he won’t open himself up to. He won’t allow himself to be seen as weak, he is the Devil in the Black suit after all with a reputation to uphold. Kira Blakely has always been one of those authors I read the minute it hits my kindle, but this time she wrote words that pulled me from places I didn’t realise I had, the emotions you will feel reading this book will turn your heart upside down and melt even the coldest of hearts.
Ok. So Beckett is mean. Like arrogant, rich playboy, thinks himself is God, nobody else matters mean. But. And this is a big but. He has a soft spot...well two really. Their names are Penny and Olivia. Read this book. Watch this man go from tough amd mean to emotionally available and loving. Read the struggles, the emotions (god the emotions!) and see if you dont love Beckett in the end. I did. This book just gripped me from the beginning and I couldn't put it down, literally was up till 1 AM reading this. You have to read it. Phenomenal book!! Oh, and get the prequel amd read that first. It will give a lot of insight to Beckett. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Beckett = 5/5 Heroine, Olivia = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 5/5 Plot = 5/5 Mystery = 3/5 Action = 1/5 Darkness = 3/5 Humor = 1/5 POV = dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
I voluntarily read an arc of this book for a fair and honest review. Beckett Price is not a nice man, just ask him. Raised by an adulterous, workaholic father and a weak mother who eventually took to her bed and then suddenly just left her bed and her adult son with only a brief note to explain her intentions. Beckett formed his own family, his best friend Michael had been like a brother to him, we met Michael in the prequel but Michael is now dead. Two months later Beck is still reeling by the loss of Michael and his partying hard is now costing him clients. Beck needs to clean up his act. Michael was aware of his friend Becks “object of erection” was his sister Olivia and made Beck promise to stay away from her. Not wanting to lose his friend, Beck did just that. Now Beck finds himself face to face with Olivia in an uptown restaurant, at lunch hour and Olivia is trying to get the baby, in her arms, to stop crying. The baby is Michael’s daughter Penny and because Beck making sure to steer clear of Olivia visited with Michael and his wife at Christmas. He had interacted enough with Penny during the holiday visit for Penny recognized him, when Beck demanded Olivia hand over the fussy baby. Miraculously, Beck had Penny giggling in no time. What Beck couldn’t figure out was what the previously pampered princess Olivia was doing with her niece. Olivia also lived a privileged life, she more most likely to be found getting a mani/pedi than taking care of her niece. Before Olivia had a chance to utter anything more than his name, Beck vanished from the posh eatery. Olivia’s life was one of low expectations, she was rich so the only thing her family expected of her was to smile and look pretty. All except her brother Michael. He knew what Olivia was capable of which is why he left his daughter in his sister’s care, should anything awful happened. He stipulated that Olivia was to do this on her own without nannies, housekeepers and chefs. Olivia was pretty much at rock bottom physically and emotionally. At nineteen Olivia had been hopelessly in love with her brother’s BFF Beckett Price, seven years later she’s still tamping down those feelings. She has no idea that Beck promised Michael he would leave his younger sister alone. Michael had no idea that his sister and his friend were exchanging love notes...well not love for Beck because he saw first hand what Love could do...but he would never tolerate anyone touching Olivia, even if he couldn’t touch her himself. Sever years later, Olivia rereads Beck’s words to her when she was 19 and he was 21. I think this is Blakely’s best work so far. Beck is one of her darkest heroes to date. I think it would benefit this author to try her hand at a darker, longer format book. She comes so close in Savage, I would just love to see her push the envelope. I think she has the potential to go up against some dark Erotica writers like Georgia Le Carre and Pepper Winters and come out strong. Practically every book in the sexier romance genre is 100% predictable so it’s hard to separate from the pack, with Beck she writes of a dark, charismatic, brooding Alpha with a penchant for destruction and pits him against an “off formula” well to do, savvy, has some sexual experience woman with only two years separating them. This author didn’t fall down the shy, virginal, needs money or a “daddy” rabbit hole. She distinguishing herself amongst the “writes one book a month” authors. Great job!
It’s not been so long that I’ve delited myself with one of Kira Blakely books, but I still think it’s been long enough that reading “Savage” reminded me of why I like this author stories.
Olivia is a young woman who’s family has died and left her in charge of her 2-year-old niece. Her younger brother is still alive but not much help in any way, shape or form. She has to raise Penny on her own, that’s what her big brother said in the will. She is feeling overwhelmed and there is Beckett, the boy next door, turned hot guy, she has been in love since forever. Beckett has lived a shallow life, focusing only on work and parting to forget his obsession from younger years, Olivia. His best friend little sister. The same best friend death he feels guilty over. When he sees Olivia in a high-end restaurant, he can’t let go. She is, after all, his.
What I love about Kira Blakely’s work is that her couples feel relatable and, in some level, realistic. That allows the reader to form a connection and I couldn’t let that connection go, no matter how many finals I have this week *sheepish smile* Yeah, I have read this book instead of studying.
Character development, the pace that the relationship takes to get from point A to point B, the suspense, the drama that it’s added, the touch of danger… I could keep going but I guess you understand my point. There are a lot of thing done so well in this book that I can’t help but love it. Add to that, that the writing was correctly done, not many details about spelling (I found only one). I can’t complain.
Now, since I don’t have censorship here about this things. The scenes with sex in them… fiuuuu *cleans the sweat from her forehead* Those are hot and sexy. The dominant aspect of Beck in this scenes is way sexier that I was expecting.
The only reason this book didn’t reach the 5 star review it’s a selfish one. I really wanted Beck to sick the loan shark onto the aunt and uncle… Ok, not only because of that. Blame Beck annoying me a little with his “I can’t love her” train of thought through out the book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow! Where do I start....first let me say that Kira Blakely is a master at her craft and that anything she writes I grab up right away. When I was offered the ARC of Savage I was beyond excited! I read the blog reviews before getting the book and just knew this book would be another fantastic read.
Beckett and Olivia have known each other their entire lives, living beside each other as kids. He also is her big brother Mike’s best friend and of course her dream guy. Unfortunately Beckett comes from a home where love, attention and trust are not a part of the family dynamics and he’s learnt that any emotional connection leads to heartache and pain. When his best friend makes him promise to leave Olivia alone he agrees and is forced to leave her behind. Their world collides once again when Mike and his wife are killed, leaving Olivia sole custody of a two year old.
Beckett and Olivia are explosive! He is the world’s biggest ass and she used to be the New York socialite. Together they are fire and ice...Beckett wants her but thinks he’s no good for her and blames himself for her brother’s death. Olivia is over her head with her new parental responsibilities but will do anything for Penny even act as Beckett’s fake fiancé to fight family members trying to take her away.
When Olivia pushes Beckett away he starts to understand the pain and loneliness he put her through when he walked away. Now he must work to regain her trust, remake his imagine from the party animal bachelor, and make her his for good.
“I was wrong about us...that you were mine. I am and always have been yours.” Swoon worthy quote from Beckett!
Beckett Price does not believe in love after growing up in a home as the only child of fighting, abusive parents. But a family moved in next door that had a boy his age, Mike, and a daughter two years younger, Olivia. Beck was best friends with Mike and very attracted to Olivia but his home life caused him to act out to the point that he was sent to prison and disinherited by his father. Mike had asked Beck to never tempt his sister and Beck agreed that Olivia deserved better than he. When this book starts, Mike and his wife have died in a car accident and Olivia has been left in charge of their 2 year old, Penny, and Beckett has not seen her for 7 years during which with a start up loan from Mike, he has beome very rich. Concentrating on his business, he meets his PR person at the Granite Resturaunt where everyone's meal is interrupted by a screaming baby. He leaves his table when he sees it's Olivia with an out-of-control Penny. He steps up to Penny, who recognizes him, calling him Beck Poo as her father taught her to call her Godfather, and plays the game he always plays with her, calming her down and speaks to Olivia for the first time in seven years. Now, Beck's mind is disturbed with thoughts of Olivia even more than ever. These two have a deep love / hate relationship that cause them untold trouble when they fake an engagement to help her fight off relatives seeking custody of Penny and improve Beck's poor reputation. Lots of tears in a typical well told Kira Blakely plot! And you will fall in love with little Penny.
Savage by Kira Blakely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hot,hot, hot story! Beckett Price is one tules hot guy. His publicist feels he needs to tone down his partying and focus more on his investment business. Olivia Abbott is spoiled and gorgeous. She wants to be in the perfume business, but gets derailed when her brother Mike and his wife die. Then to add to her grief, she's become sole guardian for their daughter Penny. Mike was also Beck's best friend. Olivia, or Libby as she's lovingly called, and Beck have a past relationship that ended a few years back. Neither one of them really moved on. To the outside world they were apart, but in their silent hearts, they still yearn for one another. Now, Olivia needs Beck's help, she just has a hard time admitting that and actually saying it. I love these two, and Penny too. Beck cultivates a tough guy persona, but he's the "Beck Poo" that Penny loves so much. Can they maybe help each other? Olivia is more than just a spoiled rich girl, she has dreams too. She's determined and strong. Penny is cute as a button when she's not screaming like a banshee, and she is the magic puzzle piece that can bring these two stubborn lovers together. I really enjoyed this story, even though the beginnings were due to a harrowing catastrophe. Good reading that makes you think about relationships. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book.
An intense read at times and that’s all due to the fact of Beckett, a savage, a beast, a man who only shows anger and danger in his expressions. Then there’s Olivia who has been granted full custody of her niece, Penny, when her older brother dies who also happened to be Beckett’s best friend. A chance meeting in a restaurant with Beckett calming down Penny has him reentering into their lives after years of silence between the two. Penny knows Beckett but Olivia is like a stranger to her so she asks Beckett for some help and that just leads them into dangerous territory. A great read with steamy scenes and intense emotions radiating through the pages between them. Beckett was so full of anger and guilt, with no pleasant emotions at all unless he was with Penny, then would break a little for her. I enjoyed this intensity and I loved Olivia’s backbone, sticking up for herself, not backing down and not breaking down in front of Beckett and taking full responsibility for Penny and doing everything she can to make a home for her. Only thing I couldn’t get over (I tried) was Bebe, I was hoping she was lying and I didn’t like that she wasn’t even though none of them knew they knew each other. That was the only part I couldn’t accept, it was ewwww to me. But the ending and what Beckett did for them and then his declaration where it all began....I melted. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Kira has such away with her writing you are drawn in from the first page and become so engrossed with the story you feel part of it and end up staying up half the night to finish the book in one sitting. I love Beckett(Beck) yes he did have a brutal arrogant persona but he did have a softer side, however his childhood experiences left him closed off to personal relationships and business acquaintances. Olivia's carefree youthful life came to an abrupt end when her brother( also Becks best friend) and his wife died in a car accident leaving Olivia devastated, changing her life forever as she has her two year old niece to bring up as a consequence. Olivia and Beck have had a turbulent love hate relationship for the last seven years, you understand more of this if you read the prequel, the sexual tension is evident throughout and the sex scenes are tasteful and believable, sometimes you want to hit there heads together as they don't realise what they do have instead they overthink the situation. When outside influences impact on what is building between them will they cave or come out fighting for there futures and will there futures be together or separate?? Download the book you will definitely not be disappointed. I was given this as an ARC from Booksprout in exchange for a voluntary honest review.
Olivia and Beckett had feelings for each other from young age, Beckett is Olivia's elder brother Michael's best friend. With only two years of age difference Beck had expressed his feeling for O when they used to be teenagers, but Michael forbids Beck to near Olivia as he has turned into womanizer during their college and Olivia is off limits due to their bro code. But Beck hated relationship and he don't love anyone or anything. After seven years now, Olivia has become the guardian to her niece after the death of her brother and sister in law. Once Beck helps Olivia to calm down her little niece Penny, she is surprised to meet him again. Beck is now a businessman who parties hard takes woman after woman to forget about his past and Olivia who is a torture to his mind and soul. Now his reputation at stakes, he needs to prove him as a responsible one to keep his competitors away from him. When he finds out Olivia needs help to take custody fight to keep up Penny, he comes with a proposition which could keep them close and ways they always to be. Will a fake arranged turn into a real is the remaining plot drafted with lot of emotional and erotic scenes with kept me at edge until I finished the book.

I voluntarily received an arc copy of this story for my honest review through Booksprout. Great story left me wanting way more of Beckett and Olivia. Beckett needs to clean up his image and Olivia needs to keep parental rights to her niece. They both come up with the plan Beckett helps Olivia keep baby Penny and Olivia helps Beckett clean up his image. Olivia is a rich socialite whom is used to things going her way. She never though she would lose her brother and sister in law and have to raise their daughter.
Beckett is her brothers best friend. Olivia's brother was the only one that beloved in her and she truly misses him and does not know what to do. Beckett and Olivia hated each other, but she secretly liked him. Beckett is literally a beast he cuts loses and moves on, but somehow with his rough manner he is some sort of baby whisperer and the only one that can calm little Penny down.
Beckett and Olivia sort of had a past she once was his but being the man he is he refused to love her and she let him go. With their shaky past can Olivia and Beckett make this ruse work without either of them getting hurt. Loved this story and would read it again once Beckett got his stuff straight he did everything to help Olivia. Olivia also grew up and found out there is more to life than fine restaurants
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Beckett was a single businessman in New York City...some people, mostly competitors, loved to hate him and the paparazzi loved to stalk him. Olivia was his best friend Michael's baby sister, too good for Beckett, but always on his mind. After Michael and his wife die, Olivia had custody of their daughter, Penney. Olivia was trying, but so far motherhood was eluding her. Penney always loved Beckett, calling him Beck Poo. He was able to calm her down when nothing else worked. They ran into each other at a Manhattan restaurant, caught up and then he sort of offered to help with Penney if she needed him. Meanwhile, an uncle and aunt show up offering to help and give advice on raising the girl. Beckett takes instant dislike to them and they didn't like him any better. His publicist wanted him to clean up his act with a steady relationship, but Beckett wanted to keep Olivia and Penney out of the limelight. You will have to read the book to see if Beckett and Olivia can work out their feelings for each other or if Olivia should worry about the sudden appearance of a long-forgotten aunt and uncle into their lives....
This is one great story about Olivia and Beckett. This story will have you experience many emotions for each of them. Olivia is a young lady who comes from a very wealthy family and enjoys luncheons, going out at night and no real responsibilities. Her brother, Michael and his wife pass away unexpectedly and Olivia is the guardian of their little girl, Penny. There are stipulations in the will and Olivia finds caring for a 2 year old will not be easy and is struggling. Beckett is her brother’s best friend and they cross paths sometime after Michael has passed. It’s funny to see the special relationship Beck has with Penny. Will Olivia breakdown and ask Beck for help? Beck and Olivia have a history where they each care for one another but never took it further than a kiss. Beck is one very strong alpha male who has people listening to him from just a look and his social life is in full swing that it’s causing some business issues for him. Beck has always believed that Olivia was his, can he make that true or will his promise cause him to walk away? How will these two deal with custody issues, their undeniable attraction that is so wrong and so right and deal with Beck’s business issue? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Savage is an all consuming, red hot romantic story by Kira Blakely that will keep you glued to the book from first to last page. Olivia, our heroine in the story, is guardian to her late brother and his wife's little girl called Penny. Beck was his best friend but he'd promised to not try it on with Olivia to her brother. They've both been in love with each other for years but done nothing about it so they're both frustrated and wishing things could only be different. Beck doesn't have the best of reputations but when Olivia's uncle and aunt try to gain custody of Penny she calls on beck for help. And Beck has the perfect solution so that Olivia can keep Penny and he will clean up his reputation as well AND, if he's lucky enough, try to persuade Olivia to give him a chance at love. Kira has created a great plot with such endearing and sexy characters. Penny will make you love her as well as beck and you'll feel involved in their story. Expect lots of sizzling passion, humour, and wonderful writing that keeps you invested in the story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Beckett Price is cold and jaded. His weakness, his best friends little sister Olivia Abbott. He tried to purge her from his system when she was 18. He tried to forget in every business deal and meaningless affair. Then Michael and his wife die, and it's his fault. He has sunk into drinking and partying. His reputation is notorious and his business suffering. Then his O walks in with a screaming toddler. Her brothers daughter, his best friends little girl. Olivia is more beautiful then when he walked out on her 7 years ago. Olivia can't believe she is seeing Beck again. The man who broke her heart. The man she has never gotten over. The man her young niece clearly knows well and adores. The man who has forced himself back in her life. Who she sees to late for who he really is. The man whom finds out to late he loves her. Beckett will get his O back. Fast paced, steamy, and intense, romance. Loved Olivia and Jack's story. The 2 year later epilogue wrapped their story up perfectly. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book from Booksprout. I love this author, her books an automatic buy. She has generously included a few of her other books as a bonus.
Becket was such a difficult person to like at the start. Really, the level of a@#... he had.
Olivia seemed to be pretty helpless and unable to cope with her circumstances. But she soon found her footing and strength and it was great. It was mentioned in the story that only her brother saw and knew she was more than what she was told she was. So I kinda expected her passion to be more front and center alongside Penny. But nothing till the end and even then if felt like an afterthought.
Their moment of enlightenment? awakening? revelation? was a little heartbreaking that tears welled up in my eyes. And it made them grow more as a person, by themselves. Which I found really great. Becket after this moment, well actually in the epilogue, was to me, such a complete 360 that I didn't quite like it. What happened to the strong personality? The alpha-ness? He seemed ordinary afterwards. Noooo...
Trying hard not to reveal anything here...so please just read the book. And give it a chance. It took me more than 4 chapters to really get into the story.
4.5 stars 🌟 - really enjoyable second chance romance
Kira Blakely did it again, a really great second chance romance, with Beckett (who due to his troubled past has a heart so protected it is is practically Fort Knox) and Olivia (a sweet girl who has always been told she shouldn’t try to be more than a girl who shops and goes to the spa).
After an awful tragedy Olivia has to find her inner strength and confidence, even when everyone expects her to fail, as she is now legal guardian of her beautiful little niece... so far she is surviving rather than thriving, but she won’t give up. Beckett is struggling to continue to find meaning in his cutthroat business and life of work hard, party harder; that is when he bumps back into his best friends sister (Olivia) that he hasn’t been able to forget in the last 7 years.
Can he find a way to help Olivia with her niece and reconnect... you are pulling for them from the start, they are great characters and you can see how they will compliment each of other so well. This was not an overly long read, luckily as it was a joy to read and I didn’t put it down once!

Oh my God! Kira Blakely has delivered an awesome new release. The storyline, plots, twists/turns make for a page-turning book that will keep you engaged throughout the story. I certainly recommend you read the prequel to Savage, as it will help you understand their story better. I highly recommend you “one-click” to add this amazing story to your library. I guarantee you won’t regret it...
The chemistry between Olivia & Beckett is schorching hot! Beckett left her seven years ago & his life is derailing around him. His drinking & partying isn’t helping him in his business world. Beckett discovers Olivia & Penny in a restaurant & comes to the rescue. Olivia has always loved him & was heart broken when he left her.
Can sweet & adorable Penny be glue that brings them together again? Can a fake fiancé & fake engagement become reality? Can Olivia & Beckett protect little Penny? Now that they’re back together, will they get to their happily ever after? To find out how their story goes, grab “Savage” & start reading...

This was my first read by this author and I loved the story. The title of the book was not what I expected. Beck and Olivia were at odds from a young age. He's her brother's best friend, she's the untouchable sister. Beck is dark and has to work through a lot, he disappears and then continues to climb and reach the top of the business world as a "savage" competitor. Olivia is sweet and innocent and she's to pure for Beck. Their lives interact in a most unforeseen way, there's guilt, assumptions, actions and doubt. Olivia is innocent but she is a fighter, she's taken advantage of, but fights back and fights back in a big way. The reader is taken on a roller coaster and it's an exciting ride. I love the dynamics of the characters and especially Penny.
I will continue to read stories by Ms. Blakely as you as the reader, are right there within the story. I received this advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review.
