The title makes it sound like it's a lighthearted book. It isn't. The Pianist isn't "Excentric" (was that supposed to be a cute misspelling?) and the plumber definitely isn't curious. I'd define the pianist as emotionally crippled/tortured because of his past and the plumber as empathetic/kindhearted. This is a slow-paced story where the main's horrific background was revealed piece by very annoyingly small piece (in between crippling flashbacks) and I found it extremely frustrating because I feel that someone with his issues needs professional therapeutic help.
Overall I did finish it so it was readable, but I doubt I'll ever read it again.
FYI: if you're looking for MM action look elsewhere - all you'll get is a couple of hugs and meaningful looks (which I have no problem with). If you're looking for a ton of unresolved emotional anxiety (which I do have a problem with) this book is for you.
