I’m Harlow Grace, the newest, hottest face of Hollywood sex appeal, the woman every man wants and every woman wants to be... and I’m running away. I need an escape. I need to get away from the pressure, find somewhere I won’t be hounded at every step—an impossible thing to ask when I’m on billboards everywhere, from LA to Laos, Japan to Jakarta, Sydney to Siberia. So, I buy a yacht and hide out in the most obscure, remote, and unexpected place I can think of: Ketchikan, Alaska.

Instead of a peaceful vacation, however, what I find in Ketchikan is trouble. The kind of trouble that’s six-plus feet of nerdy hotness I can't resist. I mean, who could? He's a genius with no idea how attractive he is, an enigma of contradictions: awkward yet confident, fascinating and flirtatious, yet aloof and evasive of physical touch.

He's utterly and deliciously sexy in every way—and oh, so innocent.

*   *   *

I can recite all of The Iliad and The Odyssey in the original Greek. I can do advanced mathematics in my head and memorize entire books with ease. By the time I graduated high school I had been scouted by several international soccer teams and recruited by think tanks, the NSA, and the CIA.

All of which is totally useless when a woman like Harlow Grace is standing in front of me, trying to talk to me, flirting with me, touching me. She’s Helen of Troy—a woman with a face that could launch a thousand ships, a woman wars are fought over.

It turns out she’s not just beautiful—she’s famous. A Hollywood sex symbol. A superstar known all over the world…

And yet somehow she’s interested in me?

I unashamedly jumped to this book even though I haven't caught up on the rest of the series yet. I just couldn't wait to get more of Xavier and his uniqueness. And I can say with full certainty that I was not disappointed with his story. He was even more lovable as a main character than he was as a secondary one and I adored him.

I really liked how he was with Harlow and that we got to see him open up a little more around her. I thought their relationship was brilliantly written and very realistic when it came to the hang-ups that Xavier had.

Overall, this was a cute story that I will definitely recommend. I didn't have a problem reading this before the others and there are no spoilers about previous characters, only mentions of them.

"3 Stars"

This was a cute story! Some parts were pretty cheesy so I kind of rolled my eyes a couple of times! Xavier and Harlow were cute and sweet. I liked their story.

DNF @ end of Chapter 3. Or somewhere along there.

1) Despite the interesting premise, and my love of the trope for this type of Hero, I just couldn't continue reading. It was BORING!! Chemistry was tame. Dialogue was tame. No real spark. No real wit.

2) Within the first few pages there was switching between verb tenses for no reason. Most of the book is written in first person past tense, but some in first person present tense, with no real logic when the tenses switch! I HATE that.

3) Then there are the typos. I hate those too.

So no, I don't think I'll be reading this one, despite the positive reviews.

I'm gonna say 3 stars... but rounded up because Xavier was just too cute and it was a tough subject to tackle successfully.

Xavier is only 20, but he's got a lot going for him. He's a genius, sexy to the point of beautiful and hung like a horse. But life hasn't been easy for him being high functioning ASD(autism) with savant tendencies. I liked how the author made that clarification because some authors write people on the high end of the autism spectrum as being like 'Rain Man'. Not true. Most are just average intelligence.
So he's not going to be an easy guy to get to know, but once you are in, he's easy to love.

Harlow also has a lot going for her. She's rich, beautiful, young (not sure how young but around Xavier's age). She's also famous and we all know how kind the media is to celebrities. (not!).

Harlow goes to Ketchikan Alaska to hide out and decompress after her last movie. At the start of the book, she and Xavier have just met and they're 'getting to know each other' rolls like a snowball downhill over the next few days. The story is a little slow and not much happens so some will find it boring.
I got a little impatient with Xavier and his hangup left over from bullying in school, but when he retells it to Harlow, it becomes more clear. Thank goodness bullying is less tolerated now-a-days!!
Xavier doesn't know that Harlow is famous and she is rather enjoying flirting and hanging out with an unusual boy who doesn't see her through Hollywood glasses. So she doesn't tell him who she really is till, of course, he finds out before she gets a chance.

Things got ugly. Not so much his reaction, but his family and her fans. I gotta say, I will NEVER READ CLAIRE'S story. What a raving b*tch!
I thought it was harsh how Harlow gets blamed for everything like it was her fault? It's not like Xavier ever asked her what she did for a living or how she happened to be so wealthy...

Anyways, I would have liked to hear an apology from Claire for being such a jerkface. But no such luck.

The ending between Harlow and Xavier though was really sweet and sexy and romantic.

safety is all good

Of course IMO the Best Badd Brother was saved for last. Now I have loved this entire series and from the very first book I knew that Xavier's book would be the one that I wanted the most. I instantly loved his character.

The youngest of the Badd Boys, Xavier for me was completely different from the rest of the boys. For one he didn't have the Alpha instincts that the rest of them had but there was something about him that I loved. One would call him a genius and while that is definitely true for me he was something more which I can't find the words for because I am not a genius. Intellectually sexy, those are two words I think of when I think of Xavier.

I couldn't wait to see what Woman would be the one to capture this man. He's what you would definitely call educated, brilliant and nerdy. He seems very unsure of himself around the opposite sex and at times is almost robotic when he speak to you. He definitely isn't a social butterfly that's for sure. One might think that may ruin his personality but for me it did the opposite and it was so refreshing.

Of course the Woman that captures the last standing Badd Brother couldn't be more opposite, her job requires her to be in the limelight. But they clearly connected. She could just be herself around him, there were no expectations.

Their story is sweet and awkwardly adorable at the beginning and as this book goes on I will tell you Xavier Badd surprises me a bit but the chemistry eventually heats up.

Such a great read. I absolutely loved the Badd Boys and have gobbled up every single book since the beginning.

A love so sweet... and sizzling!

They say the best is always left for last. I may argue a wee bit as each book in this series has been a whirlwind of all the things that make me love reading! Warm characters and heated romance surrounded by loving (and chaotic) family. What was not to love? Even though I went into this last book with a quiet sob of mourning I knew it was Xavier’s story and I have been waiting (im)patiently for it….

Xavier was quiet with not a lot to say but he still managed to somehow shine bright even among his larger than life brothers. Not that he was any less handsome or sexy. Far, far from it. He also cornered more than his share of the uber-smart market as well. He was sweet and earnest, quickly finding a spot in my heart early on. Diving into his story was pure pleasure…

“…he challenges me mentally, keeps me guessing. He’s a mystery.”

Xavier’s way of speaking, of communicating, was uniquely his own. Quietly funny and warm, he may not have much to say but when he spoke, volumes were shared in just a few words… When Low fell into Xavier’s life, in a happy accident that knocked both of them for a loop, he may have struggled for the right thing to say, but he had me hanging on every beautiful word.

“You should never accept anything less than purest poetry.”

Low and Xavier’s story was a mix of sizzle and heart, of heartache, that made me feel every emotion. Anger, sadness, bewilderment. So much to deal with by a soul that seemed too gentle to bear it. Yet at the end of the day strength won. Hard won strength that made me want to weep at the cruelty of life yet marvel at the human spirit’s way of letting love heal… Sniff…
I can’t give away more than this snippet but this scene (like many) made my heart sink… And sing:

“Like heaven. Like… home.”

An emotional powerhouse that, as always, was balanced perfectly with humour and love. Always love…

“…they assumed because of my looks that I was a dumb bimbo who probably spent half the morning staring at a carton of orange juice simply because it said ‘concentrate’ on it.”

Just as I’m settling in to a series hangover, as I try to come to terms with no more BADD siblings left unattached… I see there will be more! More BADD stories to sink my kindle (and heart) into… *happy dance*

Movie stars - Rockstars - anyone who has fame is just my least favorite trope. I quite frankly don’t care for it, but I began my Badd Brother journey in 2016 and I thought it was about time I completed the stories of these 8 brothers I have been reading about for years.
I know books has been added to this series, yet it is no longer an interest of mine.
I did however wanted to read Xavier’s story because he was always an enigma. Plus “I do love me my closure”. I knew when I started it that my taste in writing has shifted and this is just too cheesy for me. But life happens. I am glad my reading taste evolves. But for the sake of “Josie- the 23 years old reader” - I completed this for her.

Despite the movie star aspect I actually quite like Low as a character. I think she was very considerate, and honest and true to herself and compassionate.
Xavier was how I imagined him as well. I enjoyed that aspect of him and the moments between him and Bast were probably my favorites.

Claire however? And the other women in general. (But mostly Claire) she ticked me off. That was next level rudeness and even if Low very gently and professionally checked her - that moment just ruined Claire for me. Don’t get me the mama bear bullshit. That was full on rudeness. Harlow was the adult in that setting despite her being so young.
Their romance was … sweet but not really sold on the chemistry. I do think they fit though. I am happy X got his match. And I am happy I got my closure. And that is that.
The end.

When the Wilders said, "Best book we've written", they were being modest. It's the epitome of heart, heat, and home.
Badd Boy not only marks their 100th book, it brought the Badd Brothers series to full circle.

Xavier Badd, is the youngest of eight. He's the smartest of the clan, the most sensitive and perceptive. While he struggles to understand some of the norms of society, he's also has to learn trust. Xavier knows he can count on his family, but he's a "Badd", and there are just some things they're learning as family as well.

I. Loved. This. Book. Badd Boy is packed with so many emotions. I love how all the brothers and their significant come together now that changes need to be made. Particularly, I love how protective they are when Xavier needs them the most. Then again, we've reached the part in this series that all eight have found their place in life, so it's no surprise that Xavier proves that he is truly a Badd Boy through and through.

I want to say more about how this book gave me all the feels, but I won't. Read it yourself, especially if you have followed this series. The Wilder team are definitely giving their readers what they want. Read and find out!

This is the youngest Badd brothers’ story. I read a few in the series and was always curious about Xavier the boy genius. His story made me laugh and cry. It was also good seeing what his brothers are up to.

Of all of the brothers, I have to say that Xavier is my favorite and his story touched my heart. He made me smile, swoon, he broke my heart, he made me want to protect him, he made me love him! The youngest of the BADD brothers stumbles upon a damsel in distress and rushes to her rescue! Ok, he helped the beautiful woman who fell while doing a yoga pose and hit her head. He speaks in such proper English that she is taken aback, but she is intrigued by him. He's so smart and well spoken, and the things he says to her, about her, melts her inside. They are so very different, but yet so very alike. They enjoy each other's company and although Xavier has a problem with people touching him, he is able to accept her gentle touches. But when things get a bit too "close for comfort" and the physical closeness becomes sexual closeness, he panics and runs. Xavier has a secret, well a couple actually, but then so does the beautiful Low.

The story of Low and Xavier is so sweet, so touching and emotional, so raw at times that you will find yourself clutching your chest at his revelations. You will find yourself, maybe a little bit, being angry with Low, but like Xavier's family you will come to understand. They may have know him the longest, but in the short amount of time that they have been together, Low seems to know him much better than his entire family. But things aren't going well for the couple and after an incident on the boat and Xavier runs again, Low decides to take a chance and goes after him. Things go from bad to worse quickly as it appears that his family does know who she is and...well, things get rough. Then things get really rough!

I cannot put into words how much I loved this book. I loved all of the books, but this one has stolen my heart and I know it will not give it back. I can't recommend this book highly enough! 20 stars for this book, and another 20 for the series!!! (If I could I would)!

I received a copy of this book from the author.

This is my first 5* read for 2018. Xavier Badd has been a favorite Badd Brother of mine the whole series and to finally get his book and learn more about him was fantastic.

There’s so many questions answered about X in this book. I loved the brotherly advice Sebastian, the eldest Badd, gives Xavier in this novel.

Meeting Harlow aka Low is the miracle Xavier needed to be able to live a life of love. Not only for himself but for a woman. Full of distrust and suspicion Harlow broke through all those walls.

Whereas all of Xavier’s brothers had to make some grand gesture to win their women back - Xavier and Harlow just needed a push in the right direction by the right people.

As their secrets are revealed in this book the love for these characters, as a reader, grew. Everyone should have someone to love them no matter their quirks or disabilities.

I think anyone who reads this particular Badd Brother novel will gain a new appreciation for Xavier and what he, and people like him, live through on a daily basis.

What an amazing ending to an awesome series. It's the last piece of the big Badd puzzle that we need answers to.
My favorite line is:
"There was no falling,” he said, holding my gaze with his. “Not for me. I did not fall in love with you.” I choked. “You— you didn’t?” He shook his head. “I drowned into love with you. I flew into love with you. I have been consumed with and consumed by love for you. Love for you swallowed me, became all of me, replaced my blood and bones and organs and thoughts and feelings with you, and you, and you.”

Xavier Badd, what a cutie. What a sweet romance with a twist of course. Harlow Grace was just right for him. Complete opposites for this couple. It was love at first sight. A sweet love story that just makes you go awww.

Yes, I really thought this was the last of the Badd Clan but the author informs us there is more on the way in the sneek peek and it sure is going to be interesting. Oh gosh what a great twist, didn't see it coming. Can't wait for more info on book 9. Looking forward to this.

I love these Badd Brothers! Xavier especially! He is just as hot as his brothers but he's different. And I love it! He's not the Disney version of Prince Charming; he's real and has personality quirks but is so earnest, it just makes you love him. He's completely unaware how attractive he is and how sweet he can be and that just makes him even better!

I love the whole Badd family. Every last one of them. I'm sad to see these amazingly, hot guys' stories end but assuredly, I will be reading this whole series again!!

What can I say, but Xavier is by far my FAVORITE BADD BROTHER!!!!!!!!! As I predicted he would be. I was completely addicted to this book from the beginning. It is refreshing to read about a character who is so unlike most people, that I couldn't help but fall in love like Low did. Their chemistry was instant and believable and I cherished every minute I spent with them.

Also, I am excited that we get to find out more about the mysterious BADD cousins!

While I enjoyed all the Badd boy’s stories over the past year, I thought no one could top the twins. However, I was terribly mistaken. This journey Jasinda has taken us on over the past 8 books has been such a fun and exhilarating one, to see each of the Badd brother’s lives unfold one after one and intertwine throughout all the books. You keep getting glimpses of the other characters and it’s truly made this a journey and not just reading another book. While I am sad to see this group of dominate, sexy and brooding brothers in Alaska come to and end, Jasinda couldn’t have ended this in a better way!

In the last book, Badd Boy, we get Xavier’s story. The youngest of the bunch, at just 20 years old, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this story. Young immature males are what immediately comes to mind. However, that is not what we are given! We are given this smart and very intellectual man who surprised me at every turn. His instant connection with Low, or Harlow, was so fierce that I thought my phone was going to catch on fire. Her curiosity in him is a very interesting thing to behold. She is intrigued by him from the moment he rescues her, and their journey from there is sweet starting off, but soon picks up to a point of heart palpitations.

I am truly sad to see this all end, but am so grateful I was able to go on this journey with all these characters throughout the series!

Wow, reading this series I always thought that Lucian was my favorite Badd brother but Xavier took his place as my favorite brother. Harlow Grace is a famous Hollywood actress who's learning the hard way how vicious the press and the internet can be. After her college friends post an old video online, she's had it and decides to take a break from Hollywood and her agent tells her about Ketchikan, Alaska. Weeks later, as Harlow's doing yoga on her yacht parked in the Ketchikan harbor, she sees the most beautiful man running on the dock and trying to impress him, she ends up falling and hitting her head. Xavier sees the woman hit her head and runs to help her out, and she introduces herself as Low. Harlow was quite happy that Xavier didn't recognize her and they were able to have a rather normal conversation. Xavier was special and that's what made him unique, he didn't try to be anyone but himself and Low liked that about him. As they got closer over the next several days, Low realized how Xavier didn't like to be touched and that he had certain quirks but none of it bothered her. When Xavier told the story of why he had certain hang-ups, it was messed up and Low tried to make him forget but his insecurities won. Xavier being the baby of the Badd clan was very much overprotected by his brothers and their significant others. So when he came to the bar all out of sorts they were wary and when Low showed up, they pounced on her for causing him distress. One of my favorite parts of the book was that talk that happened between Sebastian and Xavier and it showed how much Bast loved his baby brother and would always have his back and set him straight. Harlow and Xavier found their HEA with each other because n a lot of ways they were quite similar and were willing to take a chance with each other and trust one another. That se scene was mazing, who knew that Xavier had that in him and Low died and went to heaven. I want more of this group and what they all get up to in the next couple of years in their lives. But with that crazy epilogue, we are not yet done with the Badd family.

Whoa!!! I know I've said this before but OMFG this was by far one the best books I've read in this genre by FAR!! Jasinda Wilder completely captivated me with her brilliance, intellect and depth with one the best stories EVER! I was so engrossed with Harlow and Xavier's story that I couldn't tell you where I was or what was going on around me. Their in intensity was incredible, I mean off the charts STEAMY with an amazing plot line and intense revalations. If you haven't had the pleasure in reading one of Jasinda's book you need to stop what your doing and get one right now! Each book can be read as a standalone but with revolving characters best read in order as a series. All thoughts and opinions are my own :)

About the Story:
Low aka Harlow Grace, a popular Hollywood actress looking for a reprieve from the prying eyes of the media and chaos of her life, ends up on her brand new yacht in Ketchikan, Alaska. Instead of a peaceful vacation Low finds trouble, and trouble is HOT aka Xavier, who is six feet of nerdy deliciousness that Low can't get enough of. The only problem is this trip was supposed to be temporary... and her feeling are starting to feel more permanent than she had planned.

Xavier, is not your average guy, he has an intellect that is off the charts, and he doesn't get close to people outside his family, being evasive towards physical contact sets him apart from normal guys his age. None of that matters when he meet Harlow Grace in all her beauty, Xavier not sure if what happening between him and Low is real or in his head, and battling his emotional trauma might be more than he can handle. He can't seem to help being drawn to her and what he feels and she determined to break through his barriers.

I LOVED this book. Badd boy Xavier completely stole my heart and squeezed. The onset of emotions between him and Low from the beginning was electric. I can't tell you enough how amazing their story is without giving anything away, and this is the kind of story you don't want spoiled. Their story is beyond sweet with a set of surprises that will drop your jaw. I read this as a standalone but you can guarantee i will buying the series :)

This book. This is hands down my favorite book in the series! The author did truly, in my opinion, save the best Badd Boy for last!

There were so many things I loved about this book. Xavier’s “quirks” were endearing to him. I loved that Low told him on several occasions to be yourself and not try to be anyone else. That those quirks are a part of him and she loved him just the way he was.

Their love was undeniable, though they both tried. It’s that bone deep kind of love that everyone is looking for and hoping to find. They just fit. Two different pieces of the same puzzle.

I had a hard time not wanting to kick Claire’s ass throughout most of this book. I thought she was rude and disrespectful. But I never really warmed up to her in previous books either so take that as you want.

Overall I thought this book was incredible. Don’t be ashamed to be who you are, who you are meant to be. On the spectrum or not, you be you.

THIS BOOK DESERVES ALL THE STARS IN THE WHOLE FREAKING GALAZY AND THEN SOME!

Omg. The wait of going through seven books before getting to Xavier's book was totally and completely worth the wait. You can't help but fall in love with his sweet self throughout the other brother's books. And then you get to this book and you just completely lose your entire heart to Xavier Badd because he is just the kindest sweetest soul you've ever read about.

Xavier is a rather different kind of person. He's a super genius. He doesn't speak using contractions. He can recite literature in more than one language. He's also ridiculously hot. Xavier's the youngest Badd brother and he's not anything like his brothers that we read about in the first seven books. He's more reserved, he doesn't like physical touch, he can't be around crowds or loud noise, he doesn't trust easily, and he doesn't understand women. But he's the nicest, most understanding one out of the bunch of brothers.

Xavier meets Harlow in this book and she's the first girl to excite him. She's the first girl who makes him want to be okay with physical touch. She makes him want to trust her when he doesn't normally trust women. Why doesn't he trust women? Because he had a horrible terrible prank played on him in high school. Said prank had never made me want to physically harm a fictional character more than the person who pulls that prank. Reading Xavier recapping about what happened to him literally broke my heart into pieces. And it's a fictional book. Like that says something about this book. It makes you feel.

Xavier is just the type of character that you seriously can't help but absolutely positively adore. And I am so incredibly sad to be saying goodbye to these brothers.

And drum roll please! Here's my list of who I love most to least of the brothers stories. <3
Xavier and Harlow
Sebastian and Dru
Lucian and Joss
Baxton and Evangeline
Zane and Mara
Corin and Tate
Canaan and Aerie
Brock and Claire

Xavier just totally stole the show for me. He was my favorite brother. But I obviously have so much love for my original Badd boy, Sebastian. <3

I knew reading Badd Boy would be bittersweet. Bitter because it´s the last book and conclusion in the Badd Brothers Series and sweet because I couldn´t wait for Xander to get his story.

Badd Boy is Xander Badd and Harlow Grace´s story.
Xander is the youngest of the 8 brothers. Sebastian, Zane,Brock, Baxter, Canaan, Corin and lucian all found their HEA,Only Xander is single, and he´s the odd one out. His IQ is very, very high, I teaches himself ancient languages for fun only and his brain never shuts down.
And then he meets her, Harlow - Low - Grace. She´s Hollywood´s newest face, celebrity and star in the industry. She´s hiding out in Ketchikan and develops a great friendship with Xander. But when the paparazzi find her everything changes.
Badd Boy is a great read. I loved meeting all the characters from previous books. I loved how Xander bloomed in Low´s light and vice versa.
I connected very easily with the characters and I can´t say how much I love their story.

I absolutely loved this book. It didnt have the same smut as the other books but was not lacking interest in the least. I really enjoyed how Wilder brought in her own personal experiences with autism and based a character off of her experience. It was refreshing to see an author not shy away from the sometimes taboo topic but embrace it and show the world how truly special they are. We read as Xavier goes through the things that make him him. Why he speaks the way he does, his issues with touch, overstimulation etc. and how Low is able to understand him and bring him to realize how special he is inside and out. We see how it can be difficult for someone to live with asd through his flashbacks. Low was a breath of fresh air. She was kind, accepting and very loving. Those two meeting by chance may have been the best thing to come to this series.

I knew this was going to be my favorite of the eight Badd Brother books and it absolutely delivered. Xavier is everything you want in a book boyfriend: crazy smart, different in the best way, gentle, sweet, and shy. He’s not loud or flashy, but his quiet strength and emotional depth make him unforgettable. 🥰

I wasn’t sure Harlow would be a good match for him, especially with her fame and spotlight, but wow was I wrong. She sees Xavier for exactly who he is and never tries to change him. She loves him wholly, warts and all, and encourages him to be unapologetically himself. Their connection is tender, affirming, and beautifully written. Jasinda Wilder nails the opposites-attract dynamic with heart and nuance, making Badd Boy a standout in the series.

I have read every book in this series; it’s ALMOST a love hate thing. Some I’ve liked quite a bit others not so much; but this one I LOVED.

Xavier fascinates me to no end and is a complete puzzle. There is so much going on with him at any given time you’re never sure what is going on. At 50 percent I was crying

A few examples of his thought process…’ I had always been under the impression that a sports bra was intended to minimize the size and weight of a women’s breasts during exercise, to reduce the impact of kinetic energy upon the body during movement…’

Thoughts like these made me love him and the book. Harlow is perfect for him and her character is strong enough that she isn’t totally lost in the book; but this is clearly all about Xavier.

H/h, flow, storyline and some insight make this a five star read.

So heartfelt about a young man with high-functioning autism. You will definitely have the feels going for this emotionally challenging romance. Xavier was one unique individual and Harlow fell for the man hook, line and sinker. It was sweet and beautiful and HOTT! Loved this story and the characters. The author pulls you in from the very first page and doesn’t let go. And, of course, the rest of the Badd brothers show up like the reader expects. One amazing read!!!

Beautiful love story, with HOT, hot, HOT love scenes.

I'll be honest this book is my favorite. Xavier and his story brought me to tears, twice! I love all the Badd boys but Xaiver holds a special place in my heart. If you haven't read the others then please do. You won't regret it.
