Bianca

Pretty things don’t distract me. In my line of work, a distraction will get you caught. Or in my case, blackmailed. But this isn’t the only time I’ve been hustled, and soon Connor Hayes will learn that men are only pawns in my end game. I don’t love. I hate. Even a pretty boy like him.

Hayes

Two wrongs don’t make a right. Except when they are five-foot-seven and hotter than my exhaust pipe. So, I blackmailed her. It was either that or turn her in. And if anyone was going to put her in handcuffs, it was going to be me. Bianca Morgan stole the only woman I’ve ever loved. It’s only fair she replace her.

It's no secret that Drifter by Kristy Marie was one of my most anticipated reads of 2019. I started falling for Hayes in Commander in Briefs, but after Gorgeous, I was head over heels in love with him. I gushed about him to anyone that would listen more times than I can count, so when I finally got to dive into his story, I was ecstatic!

ftu

Connor Hayes is a known manwhore. Many women have been invited into his bed but never for more than one night. Hayes doesn't do repeats or relationships of any kind. One and done and out the door. That's just the way he rolls. You might think that would make him repulsive or infuriating to read about, but that couldn't be further from the truth.

en28

Hayes is always upfront with his bed partners, and he always makes sure they have a good time. On top of that, he's playful and hilarious. It's impossible not to laugh when you read the shit that comes out of his mouth.

tumblr_pggqhfJAfc1sz8civo1_500

The thing that makes me want to throw my panties at him the most though is his heart. If there is one thing Connor Hayes is, it's a damn good man. He has a heart of gold, and it's what has continued to endear him to me since the moment he appeared on the page. Watching him with Breck in Gorgeous more than solidified his place in my book boyfriend harem, but even if you've never read any other book in the series, I guarantee that Hayes will steal your heart in this one.
U5nP

As much as I adore Hayes, Bianca held her own alongside his handsome, swoonworthy ass. If you love strong, broken heroines, you will be putty in Bianca's highly skilled hands. She is beautiful, tough as nails, smart, and sarcastic, but most of all, she's a survivor. Life fucked her again and again, but she kept hustling and doing what she had to do no matter what. Though she may upset you in the beginning (stealing Hayes' bike and all 😬), I promise you, you will admire the fuck out of her by the end.

Drifter is a beautiful story about self acceptance, taking responsibility for your mistakes, and not letting your past dictate your future. It's about finding family, taking risks with your heart, and learning that leaning on someone you love when you need it doesn't show your weakness but your strength. Like all of the other books in the series, Drifter is well-written, funny, and original. Kristy Marie's writing just keeps getting better, and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!

If you love slow burns, strong heroines, playful, sexy marines, and stories with an amazing cast of secondary characters and excellent character development, this one's for you!

"I think strong women show their strength by being vulnerable at the right times".

I’m a bit late to the Kristy Marie bandwagon, but better late than never, right? I’m just so disappointed it has taken me so long to read the Commander in Briefs series because I absolutely adored Drifter; the writing was flawless, the characters were relatable, they were everything I had hoped they’d be and more. The story captivated me instantly as it set the scene for something more than I could’ve ever hoped for. If you, like me, are yet to discover the literary genius of Kristy Marie then you need to one click this one now.

Bianca… now there is one kickass heroine that I could not help but fall head over heels in love with. Her growth throughout this story was truly awe-inspiring and while she may have done some questionable things in her time, once you truly know and understand her, you learn to forgive. The more I learnt, the more I adored. She was positively remarkable and I can’t recall the last heroine I have read where I felt this immense adoration for.

Connor Hayes was a charming and sexy ex-marine who, while at times appeared to be an overly confident playboy with a dirty mouth, he could also be the sweetest man to ever grace this earth. I was instantly drawn to him and all the layers that I had the privilege of discovering. The many facets of his character brought so much to this story and I was positively swooning over Connor in a big way.

I don’t think Connor was prepared for the challenge he encountered when it came to Bianca. She was an incredibly strong and independent woman, who had been hurt immensely and as a result, had built up walls in order to protect herself, but as time rolled on, it was amazing to witness the walls she had built slowly, but surely breakaway. The chemistry between Connor and Bianca was truly electrifying and the anticipation, the will, the determination and a true sense of ‘meant to be’, made for the most captivating read.

Drifter made me laugh, cry, become anxious and endlessly happy all at the same time. I won’t even try to articulate all the reasons why I loved Drifter, so just do yourself a favor and one click this treasure. A story of finding true love while trying to find your own self-worth is no easy feat, but with the right ex-marine, the journey is worth the fight.

Kristy Marie gave me an opening scene I could really sink my teeth into. She introduced Connor and Bianca in such an endearing yet shocking way that I couldn't help but fall in love with them. I hated what Bianca did and how it hurt Hayes, but I adored how it all worked out in the end.

Connor Hayes needs absolutely no game or swagger or any other bullshit he thinks he needs to score a woman. All he needs is to have a conversation, and any woman would scoop him up and never let him go. - Bianca

Bianca: brash, ridiculous, irreverent, beautiful, feisty, broken, and kind hearted. She trusted no one and believed in nothing. Love didn't exist, except for the love she had for her mom. She was a thief that never once considered the consequences of her actions. Not until Connor. This man, a man she refused to like, a man she had no intention of caring about, slowly but surely became her everything.

Connor: honorable, hilarious, handsome, humble, broken, brave, beloved, and had a heart of gold. He'd saved up for that bike. Losing it not only hurt his pride, but took away the one thing in this world that was his. So why did he care more about this beautiful stranger than for his one worldly possession? With time and patience, he slowly broke down her walls and showed her who a real man was and what real happiness looked like.

Strong is the courage to take on pain. To choose to do what's right because the people who love you deserve it. Connor Hayes deserves my strength. - Bianca

I loved this book. I loved the characters, the plot, the slow build and sudden bang of love, and the glimpses I got into the hearts of past characters and the characters to come. I'm really looking forward to the stories of Tim and Kane. Those two men have definitely piqued my interest and I'm excited to really get a chance to meet and know them.

5 Darlin’ CROWNS

I don’t know that I could have picked a better book to start my year with. Drifter by Kristy Marie is EVERYTHING! I got humor, I got chemistry, and I got layered characters - all the makings of a must read romance.

Connor Hayes epitomizes charm. From the dimple to humor, I couldn’t resist falling for this man. He is dogged in his relationship with Bianca, and each moment spent with him only solidifies your love for Hayes. He is open and honest and lovable, but I think what really sealed the deal for me is his ideas of what a relationship is like, his belief that a strong man needs a strong woman and that they should be equal and supporting of one another. I mean, sign me up! I need a Hayes in my life.

Bianca is a phenomenal heroine. It is rare in a book that I love a heroine as much if not more than the hero, but Bianca is one such heroine. Her evolution over the course of the novel is so fantastic. Yes, she is a criminal, but her reasoning behind her acts creates sympathy for her character. Watching Hayes break down her walls makes her lovable. When she takes the final step to own her life again, I had nothing but pure admiration for her. Seeing her grab her own HEA on her own terms to be strong for the man she loves was just EVERY SINGLE THING I could want for a heroine.

Kristy Marie has created a truly amazing story. From the opening pages, I was laughing but it is more than just a romcom. It is a story that fluctuates between the humor and the seriousness of life choices. It is a story that focuses on the ideology behind a healthy relationship. It focuses on the effects of our past and the importance of making our future our own. It is a story about owning up to our past mistakes so we can live fully in the present. It is PERFECTION!

Kristy Marie has found herself a new fan! I’m absolutely in love with this story, her words, and these characters. Im completely infatuated.

4.5 stars - It's official now: Drifter is so far the best in this series and Connor Hayes is my absolute favorite now!

"It's like I'm in sensation overload. Every touch, every breath feels like a caress to the deepest part of my soul."

Connor won over my heart piece by piece with each book. But with his own story, he claimed my heart fully. I can't really explain what draws me to him. Maybe it's his carefree nature, always a smile and a joke on his lips. Combined with his good heart and manners. Maybe it's his honesty and his broken, wounded soul. He never lies to you. It's not "what you see is what you get" - it's more like "what he tells you is what you get". And it certainly doesn't help that he's ridiculously H O T.

"If Hayes was an explosive, I lit the fuse."

Bianca is an intriguing heroine and Connor's perfect match. Those two souls were calling to each other for a reason. Like they recognized a similar level of damage and the chance of healing each other. I love how Bianca "plays" the push-and-pull-game with Connor and how she slowly lets down her defenses, allowing Connor in. She's strong minded and fierce and their funny banters lighten up the pages and my face.

"Still, like air, I rise."

Drifter has - like the other two books - a deeper meaning message in between the lines. And the way Kristy Marie told the story, with a perfect pace and mix of feelings, humor, angst and tougher topics, it just spoke to me. It reached deep inside me and gave my feelings a lesson in drifting.

I really do love Drifter and can highly recommend this series and this book!

And last but not least my favorite quote form Hayes: "I don't think I'm God's gift to women. I consider myself a fat-free dessert for women with a carving for something sweet."

Stayed up wayyyyy too late to finish this again – no one can resist the power of Connor Hayes, just saying.

[June 29 2019]

11:30PM. Decided not to sleep.
1AM. Finished a most anticipated read of 2019.

.

Full review to come in the waking hours but ALL THE STARS.

And so um Tim’s book is next right? Please? Or Mason? Lucas?? KANE?!

[January 12]

So apparently, I didn't hit save on my review when I actually finished this, so here it is again.

I absolutely adored this book. Drifter is the latest book in the Commander in Briefs series* by Kristy Marie and she never fails to hit it out of the park for me. I went in expecting one thing and came out mind-blown. I think this might have been my favourite out of all of them now? (Or maybe I just say that because it's the most recent, and as soon as I reread, I won't know who is my favourite because I love them all too much?)

We follow Connor Hayes and Bianca, whose first meeting isn't quite so much meet-cute as it is -imma-act-cute-and-steal-your-bike. This is the kind of relationship that's enough chemistry to keep you going but is slow-burn enough that you just keep wanting to grab both characters and push them together; now-kiss style.

Bianca, like all the women Marie writes, has a backbone. She's had to take care of herself for a very long time and has had to do things that she isn't proud of to get there. She's stubborn and strong, and would rather get things done herself than leave it for others; which is also why she has a heart of gold too. Though she's the one stealing Hayes' bike in the first place, she knows when she's definitely overstepped and is about to get taken down for it so strikes up a deal. I suppose people might think "but she made the deal to save her skin," but if it had been the other way around, you would think that the male lead was "an old soul, someone who is all rough around the edges but a cuddly teddy bear inside." Don't come anywhere near me with that right now, because Bianca was great. She was just dealt a really shitty hand at life and she had to learn to adapt to it.

And Hayes is fully prepared for that. He's fully capable of accepting her for all her strengths, and all her weaknesses. Gosh, he's honestly a catch. I say that about all the men in this series (because they are all indeed incredible) but as it's Hayes' book, it's Hayes' time to shine.

In Drifter, we're shown a side fo him we don't get to see in the other books. Of course, he's still witty and hilarious, there is always going to be banter in a house full of men who love each other (but don't want to show that they care about each other by saying it aloud), but I loved seeing him outside of that. I loved seeing him behind those closed doors, in his own head and when he was with Bianca. It taught me more about him as a character, and I think when I reread these books again, I'll be able to appreciate these characters more for it too.

I'm honestly able to binge-read a whole book written by Kristy Marie because I love her writing that much. Her characters actually come alive for me, and I can see them out in the real world.
Commanding the Pitcher is the next book to be released, a novella about Theo and Anniston! I can't wait!

5 Stars from page one! This is one of my favorite books, ever! Thank you Kristy for giving us the perfection that is Connor Hayes!

When I met all these amazing veterans in the first book, Commander In Briefs, I couldn't wait to read each of their stories. Drifter is book three and I can honestly say my favorite so far. I say so far because each book is better than the last.

Over a year ago, a book friend (That's you Jessica) ask me to read for this author. Her name is Kristy Marie and she was new. Well after reading Commander In Briefs, I would have never guessed she was a new author. Her writing was on point, descriptive and every page was engaging. Her characters were all alphas in need of some emotional healing. Their stories are heart breaking. But they get a lot of support from secondary characters. That said, this book, as well as the others, have all the feels. But don't worry because there is humor too. A lot in fact, which is another aspect of this author's writing that I loved.

Connor Hayes is amazing. He is sexy, cocky and adorable. In addition, Connor is protective, loyal and dealing with his own emotional demons. Bianca was a perfect match for Connor. From the first pages, I liked her despite what she was planning to do. Bianca and Conner's relationship grew slowly. While Conner knew Bianca had some dark issues she herself had to deal with, he believed her to be a kindred spirit and he wanted to know everything about her. Connor was patient and kind and a gentleman. He was determined to earn her trust. Gosh I love him so much! He is my favorite hero from this series so far. But alas, there are still several more vets to get their healing.

There is some suspense, angst, and sad moments. But as I mentioned, there is humor to balance it all out. Kristy Marie has quickly moved to the top ten of my favorite authors list. If you have yet to read any of her books, I highly recommend you do. All the books in this series are standalones, but I suggest you read them in order to have an even greater reading experience.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

"I think strong women show their strength by being vulnerable at the right times."

And this series continues to be one of the best I've read so far. These guys are so great! I binged the whole thing and I can't wait for what's to come! 😍

In this book, we see a different side of Hayes, a more profound and a side he keeps hidden with all his jokes and happy demeanor. Hayes, as the other guys, had it rough for a long time until he meets Anniston. The small town heroine who helps war veterans be reintegrated in society. Hayes has a dark past and pays for his mistakes but it's never gonna be forgotten. He has a solid routine at the McCallister Jameson Foundation but a brunette will arrive and change everything.
Bianca doesn't believe in fairytales and does everything in her power to be independent and to never need a man in her life. Her childhood was not one of the best and she blames herself for something that happened with her mother. So, to help her mother and to survive every day, she uses her skills as an awesome driver and steals cars for her boss. Everything is normal until she decides to still Hayes' bike.

As you start to read the first chapters, it's impossible to imagine how will they be together after that mess but everything works perfectly and the story unfolds in the best way possible.
Hayes is one of my favorites guys at that house. Cade is my first, then Theo, they are so great and their new bromance is the best thing ever. I couldn't stop reading and I'm already missing that family. Anniston continues to be awesome and I love her, she's the best character ever!
I can't wait to read Tim's story. After a quick glimpse of him and his new girl at the end of this book, I'm anxious to know more about that.
So... this book was great! I loved every minute of it. It was fun, sweet, sexy, sad and I couldn't put it down. This is a great series! <3

I've a few authors, not really many, that I call my unicorns 😁
Why would you ask? The answer is simple. Because no matter what they write, no matter in what genres they are writing, I love it to pieces 🤷🏻‍♀️ Whatever they write I would read it 🤩
See simple 😂  And Kristy is my new unicorn 😍 I love how and what she writes.
Drifter is the 3 book in the Commander in Briefs series.
It's Connor Hayes story. He is ridiculous funny and take life not to seriously. OK, he is hilarious, and brings conversations only to one topic and that has always something to do with sex.
He is a playboy, a one-night- stand guy, that doesn't understand the concept of monogamy.  Bianca is a thief and a really fast car driver. Yes, she has to be, when she steals it 😂, but that's also her passion, despite being a woman in the world of men. You think that's a very strange couple? Yes, but only on the surface. In reality, inside, they both struggle with loss and tragedies from the past in different ways. They both are just lost in their uncertainties and doubts. For the world, they play the strong and the unbreakable ones. It's a heartbreaking, emotional, but also heartwarming and sweet story, about two people that fight their demons and disasters, that life threw at them. Although, this book is a bit more serious than the others in the series, the unmistakable sense of humor, is still there in abundance 😂. I know I shouldn't write so much about the contents of this book, but believe me, that's just a scratch on the surface of the story. And I loved it so much, that I can't control my excitement 😂 Really, you've to read this series!!! It's unbelievable good, emotional and funny, despite the serious issues, that are a part of this series. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I can't stop to write 🤦🏻‍♀️. I don't think I give this book enough credit, but I don't want to write too much. So please read this series and you can thank me later 😬😂

It's been a while since I reviewed a book. Been a while since I red one too. Reading slumps will do that to a men I reckon. But recently I've talked to a friend about the subject and she and I agreed that what one needs to break a slump isn't a complicated book. Not something that requires "work", not something that's off-putting. But an easy read. A simple read. One that allows you to get lost in the story. And that is exactly what Drifter is.

Now don't get me wrong, when I say simple, I don't mean vanilla. I'm not referring to bland or something that'll make you roll your eyes. I'm referring to Kristy Marie, one of the best writers I've ever come across. I'm referring to some of her best character & plot development. I'm referring one of the most amazing tales you will read this year.

Drifter, 3rd book in the Commander in Briefs series, gives us a look at Hayes. A manwhore if there ever was one. But here we go in depth and personal. Just the way we want to. What started with a felony leads to one of the most, if not the most amazing stories you'll read. Get ready for a tear jerking tale of hardship, struggle, survival, and ultimately one of redemption, freedom & love. Get ready to leave behind your insecurities and fears, to break down the walls you've built around you that protect you from getting hurt & 1 click this baby because you will not regret it. Cause this baby is 5* read if there ever was one

5 “Worthy” Stars

My heart is full, so full. Kristy most definitely brought her A game. With every book she writes in this series, it only gets better and better. Drifter is no exception. This book, my gosh this book packed an emotional punch. I obviously didn’t know what to expect, but it was so much more than I thought possible.

Connor. Hayes. Sweet lord that man was everything. I knew from the moment his character was introduced that I was going to fall, I just didn’t know how hard the fall would be. Connor is quite the charmer, but not in an overbearing way. He’s fun loving and hilarious to boot. But there is so much more to this fun loving guy. And little by little once those layers were peeled back, oh boy, Connor was on another level. He is the definition of honorable. Connor is quintessentially a good guy, and has the biggest heart of gold. His story is one that touched my heart.

Bianca is feisty, brash, kind hearted, beautiful, and broken. She doesn’t trust anybody. Love doesn’t exist in her world, only the love she has for her mom. She’s a thief that not once considered consequences for her actions. Yes, she’s a criminal, but there’s so much as to why. And learning that only made me root so much harder for Bianca.

I couldn’t get enough of Connor and Bianca. They were made for each other. Watching Hayes break down Bianca’s walls and showing her that not all men are the same was everything. Both teaching each other so many things. I loved their relationship so much. I needed more, craved more, and just wanted more of Hayes and Bianca.

Drifter was a great installment in an already great series. It was packed with action and intensity. Sexual tension that was off the roof and with a touch of slow burn. Hayes and Bianca were something special. And add to that the glimpses of what the previous characters were up to was also great. I really enjoyed getting back to this one big happy family. I can’t wait for what’s to come. I’m really intrigued by Tim and Kane and I need their stories. I really hope they both get books. *fingers crossed*

★5 Stars★

This book is my first 5 stars of the year. Although I like the dark and twisted stuff, suspense and action, this book was a breath of fresh air. This book wasn't what I expected to be...But it was mind-blowing!!!

Imagine similară

It was definitely something else...The first thing that I noticed was the title, then the blurb, I was hooked...Blackmail?!...Hmmm...I'm in, must be something dirty and hot.😛But then I looked at the cover. The boy (yeah BOY) on the cover was hot, handsome not a man, not a badass. I was in doubt, but I said: "wtf could happen". So I went in blind. I read the prologue. I was like...

Re-read again!!!

Is this a M/M book? ...Don't get me wrong, I don't have nothing against M/M books, their just not my thing. I read the first chapter, then I read the prologue again (third time). After that, I laughed my ass out and I was sure I was hooked.

Imagine similară

I didn't even know the book was part of a series, or that there were other books in the series. My luck that they are standalone. 😉

The book is written from dual POV and it stars with Hayes and his friend Mason chasing a girl who was riding a moto...Hayes moto. The girl just has stolen Hayes moto and they were chasing her. She was sooooo f@cking badass.

Women- Yamaha YZF-R1 Sportbike - Yamaha YZF-R1 - ID: 671357

Connor Hayes...what a name. The name itself express dirty hot things and fantasies. He was calm, he was understanding, determined and stubborn. He has a hurting past, but the Commander and all his new "family" changed his life in a very good way. Everyone in town knows him and the Commander's boys house. He is always laughing, always joking, has a heart of gold. He was so hurt when his bike was stolen. But somehow he cared more about the girl who stole his bike, than his bike.

Bianca is officially one of my favorites heroines. She was hot, sexy, a real badass girl. But to become all that, she had to go through a hard childhood. She doesn't trust no one. When she found more about the guy she stole his moto, she felt really bad and somehow she couldn't stay away from him. I loved her determination, her strength, her stubbornness. She has my full admiration for her final act...to get her life back.

This book was...

This book was awesome, sweet, funny, lovely and definitely hot. Loved both Connor and Bianca...It was my first read from this author, definitely won't be my last read, and most certainly I will read the rest of the books in this series, and can wait to read the next ones, to know everyone story.

I highly recommend this book! ❤️

Well okay, I did not think I could ever like any of the others as much as I adore Cade from Gorgeous. But Hayes is close! He is so different than Cade but he has this charm about him that just make you love him.

Hayes and Bianca came off on a rocky start, to say the least. When I read the beginning of this book my first thought was, you have to be a genius if you can make a believable couple out of these two after that. But why I ever doubted Kristy Marie, I don't know. She made this book so natural even though it has such a fun and different plot.

When I was about 40-50 % in the book I got so hooked I just couldn't put it down. I ended up reading the rest of it that night and only got 4 hours sleep but it was worth it!!!

I loved Bianca! I want to be her when I grow up. The attitude on that woman is swoon-worthy, she is a badass and have so much personality and spark that I was drawn to her. I don't walk away from this book with a book boyfriend but a book girlfriend (That is a first). But she is just that awesome. Even when she is struggling with so much personal shit, she shows her big heart (even if she don't want to), she shares her humor, her life and her soul with Hayes.

So are you looking for a book with a badass heroine, a sweet-talking alpha male and a really fun plot this is your book!

*cracks fingers*
Okay, let's do this. So, we are FINALLY back in Madison and this time, it’s Handsome´s turn to find his Boo Thang (sorry, couldn’t resist); I just didn't’ know if I was ready.

I mean, don't get me wrong: I was more than ready for another book in this series since the minute I finished “Gorgeous”.
Okay, maybe not that soon: hearts need recovery time.

But I just didn't know if I was ready to lose Connor So-Hot-It-Hurts, Always-Smirking-And-Ready-To-Crack-A-Joke Hayes.
Even when I was certain that Kristy was going to make me love Bianca to death. Spoiler alert: it worked.

Out of the tree books, I feel like this is probably the story that delivers the least amount of blows to your gut, but don't let it fool you. It can come at you with a vengeance that you didn't even saw coming.

Just so I can paint you a picture: 15% into it I had already cried, swooned, giggled, laughed out loud; you name it, I did it. And, to remain true to its predecessors, I was faced with a dilemma: do I:
a) read it at a quick pace and get to know the story ASAP - like my life depended on it - while still savoring all the words and details, or
b) take my time with every single little word and piece of information, because I don't want it to end. Like, ever.

So, what did I do? Uh… both? I’m not sure.
The only thing I know is that I'm ready to read it again. Now.

Kristy Marie was, once more, successful when it comes to make me look like a crazy lady, since I was tearing up for the majority of my read and straight up crying my eyes out from 85% forward.

Without giving too much away, Bianca and Hayes meet under peculiar circumstances and the battle of wills ensues: Bianca feels that there’s more to Connor than just the player on the outside, but doesn't want to have anything to do with him, while Hayes does everything to figure Bianca out. That includes, becoming a permanent fixture in her live. Bianca didn't even saw it coming.

It’s a story of seconds chances; allowing someone to come into your life and totally and completely shift the way you see yourself and others; that not everybody else is there to use you and discard you.
Some people care.
Some people see right through you.
The right one will defy you and slowly make their way into your heart; the right one stays and fights, for you and with you. Forever.

Ohh, that was a tough one. Okay, let’s pick this up.

Kristy, I want, no… scratch that, I NEED Tim, Vic and Kane STAT – yes, I added Vic in there because your little tease at the end of this book, left me thinking some things... 😈

And Kane? Yes, I literally squealed when I “saw” him again.
And some of the things that come out of his mouth? Stick a fork in me; I'm done.

Also, low blow: I cried my eyes out meeting Aspen and reading Hayes talk about how everyone just dotes on her.
Now, not only do I want a house full of hot, protective marines, I also want a baby.
Thanks. 🤣

I can’t wait to come back to Madison; I need more of this family in my life. Didn’t know it was possible but I fall more and more in love every time we go back.
And it is all you: the laughs, the ugly crying, the this-is-so-hot-I'm-literally-fanning-myself moments and some many more feelings you provoked.
You created a world I would give anything to live in.

I’ll repeat myself here but who cares, right?
Thank you so much for bringing these characters into my life.
Thank you for giving me the pleasure of meeting them for the first time before the rest of the world, with "Commander in Briefs".
Thank you for doing it again with this book.

Still not awesome at writing reviews but I guess I got my point across. That point being: you need these characters in your life, you just don't know it yet. Believe me, I know. Kristy’s writing style and the stories she creates will get you hooked.

And yes, you're still my rock star, Kristy. Thank You. ❤

My words won't be beautiful like roses, my words won't be perfectly used like literary critic would do... My words could only  describe every damn feeling that I had during reading Drifter by Kristy Marie. Forgive me if my writting won't be long...  I might be also little speachless... THIS book, THIS CHARACTERS left big hole in my heart. I just finnished my date with Bianca, Hayes... their folks from the background... and I've already started to miss them so, so much. I'm not ready to say goodbye. I want to stay forever in their house, I want to watch how they love and support each other. For God sake.... I'm adult woman - I shouldn't have tears in my eyes, right ????

Drifter get realy deep under my skin, and I'm sure that this story stay with me for a long time. Slow burn, tension, cry, laugh, happines, sadness all this things mixed perfectly with each other - masterpiece indeed ! Kristy Marie in the finest writting style!

Kristy done such a amazing job with Connor & Bianca. I love whole series, specially EVERY. SINGLE. broken marine, that Krity set me up... Theo make me laughing... Major left me heartbroken but Hayes.... sigh... This man knows how to keep his woman in track.

I want to be a mother for my broken boy... I want to be the best EVER sister for my brave girl Bianca. EVEN if she is everything what I didn't except to have....

“A wise woman wishes to be no one’s enemy; a wise woman refuses to be anyone’s victim.”

Bianca is really SOMETHING, or rather SOMEONE who I didn't want to see near my favorite marine boy.... in the begining she gave me big headache, she's smart-wise and sneaky little foxy with angelic face. But then.... I realize quickly that she's just a fighter and suvivor with deep hidden  heart.... That's why It was good to see how stupbborn  bada** Hayes could be... He was just exactly like I was dreaming to see him in Drifter. He's real aplha with golden heart... After first pages I thought "What the... ?"... and  fell in love, shamelessly like teenager for a very first time. You just need to read book to find out,how fast this boy will steals Your hearts.

I'm sure that readers all kind will love this AMAZING story. HIGHLY RECOMENDED title!

I’m hooked on this series and these Marines. These are all standalone books in a series but there’s no way you won’t want to read them all. Hayes and Bianca’s story is a perfect blend of both their lives being intertwined into this book with the dual POV throughout we’re able to relate and see everything through both their eyes. Hayes loves with all his heart and when he shares his backstory with us... lemme just say you better have tissues in hand. Bianca hasn’t taken the best paths through life and is determined to do whatever she needs to get by, seeing her open up and let down her guard is beautiful and shows her strength in a whole other way. Having the Commander and all of the family together show how family doesn’t have to be blood. Beautifully written, a must read and needs to be bumped to the next TBR on your list.

It's official. This series is one of the best I've ever read. And each book keeps getting better and better, leaving you hungry for more of this wonderful writing.

To say that I loved it would be an understatement. I was completely consumed by Hayes and Bianca's story, devouring every single word with such eagerness that I could physically feel their struggles, their personal demons, but also the undeniable chemistry and attraction. The tension and sad moments were perfectly balanced with Kristy's distinctive humor and I thoroughly enjoyed their journey of self healing, letting their guards down and allowing each other in.

Although Drifter can be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading the whole series as it's pure gold! Just read those killer opening chapters and you will be hooked.

The opening scene of this book was funny, a little vulgar but funny. That being said it did have a lot of things people won't like, hero was a HUGE manwhore. I kind of kept reading this series because the premise itself, about veterns and PTSD was a good one, I just think it needed to be done with more care and less vulgarity. I dont necessarily mind that kind of humor, but I felt it took away from what could have been an interesting series. This one also had a pretty interesting heroine.

I accidently read the third before the second, so on to that one now.

Safety Info:
No sex scenes with OP
Hero is huge manwhore and talks about it a lot, but he is only about the heroine after he meets her
Heroine is not a virgin, but is not experienced, she has had a hard life and a shitty boyfriend

658497 Darling Stars ♥

When I read the first book in this series, I never thought I would do Beta for the next ones, but I am so happy about it because they are so incredible and addictive.

Hayes and Bianca are the kind of couple that I love, both with their own difficult pasts, fighting internal battles, but both face them in different ways.

Hayes already has the support that Addisson and the guys in the Foundation have given him, but Bianca confronts her problems alone and only multiplies them until she meets this beautiful southern man.

The way they develop their relationship, the patience and effort, the love that comes from all sides, is so intoxicatingly beautiful.

The other characters are the cherry on the top, all the marines, the new members (wink wink), and yes, ah beautiful baby with a bunch of guys who would kill for her.

Read this third installment on this series and if you can, read all the books because Kristy's writing and magic, it's worth it.

Yes, hell freaking yes! I loved this book. From the first page it had me hooked. I loved their banter. I loved the writing and how it made me smile so many times. But in the end I was tearing up with pride. Pride for Bianca’s journey and how she wanted to be the woman he deserved. So major swoon. Connor was so cute!! Gah what a lovable man. I could totally picture him and his antics in my head as I read. This book is the 3rd in the series but you DO NOT need to read the other ones first though I highly recommend them!!!

I have read all of Kristy Marie’s books and Drifter is everything that I hoped for. It showcased her growth as an author as she honed her writing chops. The book has humor, feels, and ugly cry moments. Kristy infused this book with a lot of heart and made it shine.

This book follows the story of Bianca and Hayes. Bianca is a souls that found safe haven in Hayes’ arms. Hayes is funny, sweet and kind with a side of naughty. Both characters will steal your heart for sure. I can’t wait to see what else Kristy has in store for 2019. She just keeps getting better and better.

What I love about K Marie's books is this amazing "family" that she has created in this series. If you have not read Commander in Briefs or Gorgeous before Drifter - that is ok! But, I HIGHLY recommend them. This group of men and women have come together under the influence of Anniston McAlister. She has more compassion and generosity than any other heroine I have read, and she has created a family of misfits - ex-Marines who were lost after their tours and had no family and only nightmares to live with. These men look out for each other, they are fiercely loyal and protective, and love to give one another a hard time. You will laugh as much as you cry reading their stories - and Drifter is no different.

Once I read Commander in Briefs by Kristy Marie, I could not wait for Connor Hayes' book. He is an ex-Marine who is confident, but not arrogant; a playful flirt, and a playboy; he seems like the sweet boy next door with nice manners, but is really a dirty-talking, alpha-male with a filthy mind. Not to mention he is Handsome, and has a body built like a machine. Yah...I was taken by him. I always knew there was much more to Hayes' story - something dark and deep - that would make me fall for him even harder, and I was right.

Connor Hayes can charm the pants off of any woman - old or young, but he was in for a challenge with Bianca Morgan. I F******G LOVE BIANCA!! She is a badass. She may be a criminal, but once you learn the history behind her actions, it is easy to forgive and accept her. What I love the most about this story is her transformation. She is one of the toughest heroines I have read. Her guard is so high up with men, and she has been hurt badly by those who she let closest to her, I did not think that anyone could crack her armor. But as her story unfolds with Hayes, it is mesmerizing and captivating how she lets her walls down as she realizes her own worth. I hated her at times - I cried for her - I cheered her on - and I cried for her again. She is so beautiful and broken, and the role that Hayes played in her rising from the ashes was OH SO SWOONWORTHY.

Bianca & Hayes together is like a science experiment...you know there is chemistry, and you know there will be a big boom at some point, but there are so many trials and challenges getting there. I loved Hayes' attitude and determination not to let this girl go! He was all in even from the moment she betrayed him. And the support and loyalty of his family the entire way makes your heart melt for these characters! There was not a scene with Hayes in it that I was not smiling. He is cheesy but is just what Bianca needs to melt her exterior. They are fun, playful, have amazing banter and wit, and Hayes' mouth will make your panties wet, and his actions are so steamy that you will want your own Marine. SIGH. Like Bianca, Hayes finally lets his own walls down and reveals his dark past; and while he likes to cover up all of his deep emotions with humor, it is sooo breathtaking when he breaks down himself and lets Bianca in. I just wanted to hold him and hug him....ok, and maybe make-out with him some.

It is hard to put K Marie's books into a specific trope category because they are a bit of everything... emotional, hilarious, enemies-to-lovers, and second chances; and that is why I love her. Drifter is in a class of its own. This story of the sassy and tough heroine realizing her self-worth while falling for the charming and humourous Marine is one of my favorite books, and these characters will stay with me for a long time. Well done once again K Marie! I cannot wait to see what is next from you!!!

*this review is based on an advanced readers copy*

Once upon a time, there was a young girl. She had a wonderful life, until one day, she didn’t anymore. She took her mother’s hand and pulled her away from a horrible, dangerous place. But it wasn’t without pain and fear. Where she was going wasn’t much better...

Once upon a time, there was a young man. He fought for his country, his family. His sister. But something terrible happened. He rushed home to save someone he loved, but ultimately failed his mission. Where he would go now was full of darkness and loneliness...

Until...

Two lost souls, one won’t forgive, the other won’t bow down. In the end, who will come out on top?

Bianca and Hayes are the ultimate power couple. They’ve both had there own horrific struggles in life and they’re trying their hardest just to make it through another day.

Drifter is a beautiful story about love, trust and forgiveness - with a load of history and car stuff thrown in for good measure. It’s written with so much heart; there’s underlying sadness that hurts your own heart whilst reading it. On top of that, there are tonnes of laughs, jokes and sarcasm, a family bigger than the Kardashian’s and friendships that rival Paris and Nicole circa 2000 - yeah, I went there and I’m not even sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have to say, I was rather dubious going into this book. It’s nothing like what I would normally read, but it soon showed me that I seriously needed to open up my game. However, I am going to admit that I did get slightly lost with who was who and where they came from - I have no idea how Kristy kept on top of them all! 😅 I’m still, even after finishing the book, confused about who Cade or Kade and Cane or Kane are... I actually am sorry about that bit. Honestly, I lost track of who Aspen’s father is too... 🙈 I’m not entirely sure if I should’ve read other books before this one, but the only thing I’m a little hazy on is the guys - and that might just be me 🤷🏼‍♀️ - but I followed everything else just fine! 👌🏻

I wholeheartedly rate this book - and the cover! Holy hotness, this is exactly how I picture Connor Hayes! 🤤😛😍 - the maximum stars! I feel satisfied, light and happy 😌

Also, I’m really sorry if this review makes absolutely no sense... I already told Kristy it wouldn’t! 😁😂
